Easy class if you study, easy quizzes every week, you just have to keep up

awesome teacher as long as you come to every class and pay attention. take notes and from what i hear he is the easiest busi calc teacher out of all of them.

A really funny guy. Sometimes hard to understand, but easy. Quizzes every week, but you are given a choice of problems that will be on the quiz. Tests are fairly easy.

At first he scares you into thinking he is hard, but after a few people drop he totally changes and is the coolest guy. His tests are exactly like the practice tests, and he gives LOTS of partial credit. The hot part was a joke, but nothing else was.

Before every test he tells which sections the test questions will come from and does an example similar to each of the test questions.

Good teacher! Make sure you copy the homework he does on the board; that is where he gets his quizzes from. He goes over the type of stuff you need to know for the test and shows you similar problems.

Great Teacher! He is very funny and keeps the class interesting! He will ALWAYS help you. Go to his office and get help and he will def make it affect your grade in the end. He give you a "study guide" to help on all tests.

What a great teacher! I must admit it was frustrating at first but do your hw, go to class,ask for help, & make sure you keep up. Good sense of humor, cares about his students, will help if asked. Gives lists of possible ?'s that are on tests/quizzes.

He moves very fast and never pauses for questions, even though he thinks he does. He's stone cold and never smiles. He can't control how loud he yells. Likes to beat the chalkboard with his bare fist.

He is a short,funny man who really loves calculus.He seems to be aware of trouble spots for most students.I think hes very FAIR.His class is straight forward, you just have to give him a chance, stop by the office sometime,sit in front,and go class.

He give you good training in magimatix. I actually thought this class was as easy as a cal class could be on a college level. His quizzes are HW questions worked in class and he goes over similar test questions before each exam. His remarks add a little entertainment to the class as well.

If you want a C or better in this class, just go! He is an AUsome teacher, one of the BEST. Do homework problems and look at the odd ones he doesnt assign because that is what is on the tests. Very interested in helping out students and teaching calculus! TAKE HIM!

easy class! quizzes are EXACT hw problems worked in class and he reviews before every test. At first, he's hard to understand, but you'll get used to his accent. He's really funny without trying to be... definitely take him!

He is the easiest cal teacher ever! Take him if you can. He is not that hard to understand, he uses simple words that anyone could understand. If you go to class you should make an A. Try your hardest to exempt the exam because it was the most difficult part of the whole course.

Easy A. Go to class and he is easy to understand. Quizes come right from homework. Copy the homework problems from the board and study them and you will get an A on the quizes. Magimatics is easy with him, and he tells you he wants you to know the big picture.

i had him last semester. his class is easy for a calc class. quizzes are uber easy. just study and know how to do sample problems for test. if you make an A on everything, you are exempted from the final. some of the things that come out of that mans mouth are HILARIOUS. hilarious i say!! take him.

I am a super idiot, and Han hooked me up with a B after failing a test. This guy is freakin hilarious too. Def the best bus cal teacher out there, take him if you can.

Had him for calculus... he's hilarious in class (the accent, the little phrases he says over and over). But he does make you feel stupid when you ask questions. His tests are fair, and his tells you EXACTLY what's going to be on them. He's very passionate about math... he once referred to it as being "beautiful" lol

Very funny!! He makes me laugh during every class. He does move a little fast, but is a good teacher. I recommend to do the homework (even though it isn't req'd) because you'll better understand what he said in class. I would take him if you can!! I was disappointed to find out he wasn't teaching cal 2

Great teacher! Takes a while to get used to how he talks. Gives quizzes on Friday and if you go to class during the week he gives you 3 problems the quiz could be. Go to class and you'll have NO problem! If you make an A on all the tests, he gives you an A for the final & exempts you from it. I got a tutor (because I hate Math) & easily made an A!

Great teacher. If you go to class everyday and pay attention, there is no reason you shouldn't get around a B. With a little extra effort, you can make an A. If get an A on all your test or quizzes (or close to an A), you get a free A on the final. Can't beat that.

The funniest little man I have ever seen!! He is so easy. You need to go to class everyday even though it is not required. He is so willing to help you and he goes over the exact test questions and works out three possible quiz questions for every friday. TAKE HIM!!!...for entertainment is nothing else:)

Absolutely HILARIOUS. I laughed my but off everyday! Take him because if you take good notes (or have had calculus before) it is a breeze! Also, he tells you the exact questions that will be on the quizzes! And for tests, the examples are so similar! It is easy to make an A if you put your mind to it! Be warned - he yells a lot.

His class can be funny as long as you are not the one answering a question incorrectly. I would not ask questions in class, and if you haven't had any previous Calculus experience he flies through stuff. I would not have made an A if I had not had Calculus in high school.

Han hooks you up with grades!! i failed 2 out of 4 tests and ended up with a B. He doesnt like people asking questions during class though so go see him during his office hours instead. and he has some sort of vendetta against american math...he seems to think asians are much better educated in math...who knows

I took him for calculus III and by far he was the best calculus teacher at Auburn. He provides clear explanation on class materials and what to do on the test, he practically gives out test solutions on review days. if you cant pass this class, you shouldn't be in any major curriculum that requires you to take this class.

Han was the best teacher I have EVER had. For a small guy he is pretty intimidating because he always says how easy everything is and makes fun of you if you get it wrong. I dont know if he does it on purpose or not but it helps because you never make the same mistake again. Very nice guy. Gives you the test in reveiw and tests are always homework.

I would take Han for any math class at Auburn. His english is pretty good, and he really does care about whether the students learn. He's pretty funny in class, too. His test questions come straight from the book, number for number. If you can't pass Han's Calculus class, you have serious issues. Very clear on what he expects from students.

Great teacher and super funny. The explains everything very well and is VERY clear on the test material. He also has reviews before each test working thru the same type of problems that you will be tested on. I highly recommend him.

He is a good teacher. I went to his office for help and he yelled at me, which I didn't really appreciate, but I knew how to work the problem by the time I left his office and got it right on the test. He's a good teacher if you're willing to go to class and sit closer to the FRONT if you want to understand him.

I highly recommend his class. He knows what he's talking about and teaches concepts well. Tests are really short but he tells you exactly what is on them and how many of each question. Yongshen is really scary to the class, but if you go to his office before the test, he literally gives you the same test questions with different numbers. So easy if you go visit him in office hours. SO SO EASY AND SOOOO NICE

On the first day of class, I thought I would never be able to understand his Chinese accent (being someone that has a hard time understanding foreign professors), but I got used to it quickly. It wasn't that bad. To do well, you definitely should go to class the few days before a test, because he tells you almost exactly what the test will be.

One of the best math teachers I have ever had. He can be very loud, but his test are the exact same as his reviews. If you go to class, it's an automatic A.

LOUD LOUD LOUD! Don't let it scare you. He gets frustrated when students don't answer questions, so speak up! Class attendance is extremely helpful, especially right before a test. He will give you exact format with different numbers. An A on each test lets you skip the final!

A little difficult to understand, but he literally gives you every question on the test, and doesn't require a textbook. Just go to class, he's really helpful and kind of funny. One of the most enjoyable Math classes i've ever taken (and it was at 8am)

Take this professor! He simplifies Calculus and teaches you everything you need to know. I have a bad High school trig background, and he refreshed you. He is really funny and makes jokes about Americans sometimes. I really liked this class and I really liked this professor! Take him!! You will learn a lot. You will be entertained. You will make A.

Yongsheng is the mother freakin truth!! He has the voice of an angel. On the ratemyprofessor attractiveness scale, "hot" is an understatement. If you hang out with him, he will definitely hook you up with an A. Take this gentleman's class and you will be the master of calculus never making an illegal mistake.

He's a great math teacher. I sat in the very front row so I didn't have an issue understanding him, but keep in mind he has an asian accent. He's fun, serious, and a great teacher. Be glad you get him for any class.

This was my second time taking Professor Han. He's pretty fun and he wants you to make an A in his class. The material can be confusing so I would recommend going to office hours he's always happy to help. Attendance isn't mandatory but it will help you in the long run.

He can give you a tough time if you ask a dumb question or answer a question in class wrong, but overall the class was pretty easy. He's very clear on what are going to be on the 3 Tests, and if you make an A on all 3, you don't have to take the final. Do the homework and work what he tells you and should be golden. Easiest math professor I've ever had. Makes differential equations a joke. Just show up on review day and the problems on the review are the same ones on the test with different numbers. Make an A on all of the tests and get to skip the final.

His reviews are awesome, just like the test. He sometimes messes up the problem while working it on the board but just yell it out at him so he can fix it. You get to skip the final if you get all A's on the tests but tbh 10/10 would recommend

If you want him to regrade your test, he'll probably give you 5 points back minimum. Makes a lot of mistakes in class, but would definitely take him again

Dr. Han is clearly a genius. I took him for Differential Equations. He works plenty of useful examples. He doesn't teach as much material as other professors. He tells you exactly what questions will be on the test, the only difference is the exact numbers. And he lets you skip the final if you get A's on all three exams. Trust me, take Dr. Han.

Great professor. I had taken AP Calc last year so material was mostly review. Doesn't take attendance.. halfway into the semester classes would be around half full except for test and review day. Problems on review very similar to test problems. A on 3 tests no final, A in class. Highly recommend whether you've had Calc before or not. Easy A!

In his Honors Calculus 1 class, he gives three tests and a final. These are your only grades. As long as you do the homework (problems from the textbook that he writes on the board), you should be prepared for the tests. He encourages to come to him during his office hours rather than paying for a tutor.

If I could take Dr. Han for every math class, I would. Only grades were 3 tests and a final. You don't have to take the final if you get an A on every test. Can be difficult to understand sometimes but other than that he's been my favorite professor so far.

Lectures can be repetitive, attendance is not required. The class period before the test he will work out questions exactly like the ones on the test. If the TA grades too harshly go talk to professor Han himself and he will usually give you a few more points. Made a 78, 96, 96, and 83 on the final and ended with an A.

He teaches you EXACTLY what you need to know; he skips the theory and teaches you the process. Attendance isnt mandatory but go to class. He pulls test questions from example problems and assigned HW. He does a test review the class before the test. Problems are very similar to the review. If you have to take DE, take Han. You wont regret it.

You don't have to go to lectures but go to small group classes. He gives general form of all test questions before you actually take the test. If you study these problems hard, then you can make a 100. I made a 100, 100, and 98 on tests. Also, if you make A's on all tests, you dont have to take the final.

By far my favorite class at Auburn. I made an A on all 3 test and did not have to take final. Class attendance isnt mandatory but it certainly helps. At first he is a little hard to understand, but after a couple of days he becomes more clear. If you have to take any math class take Dr. Han trust me you will not regret it.

He's a funny teacher that isn't afraid to call students out at times. He has a very thick accent and it can be hard to understand him. The lectures are kind of pointless at times and as long as you go to recitation you will be fine. If you get an A on all 3 tests you don't have to take the final. Your final answer is less important that your work.

Dr. Han was fantastic. I have never had a better math teacher/professor/tutor ever in my entire life. The only grades are tests, and before each test, there is a review session where the test material is made crystal clear. His accent took some adjusting, but go to class and pay attention. Had to get used to his accent at first, and in his lectures it might be hard to understand his steps, but the practice problems he gives right before the each test are the key. Know how to do the problems and your set. Also helps ALOT to read the sections in the book and take notes on the example problems in each section. Overall awesome funny guy!

Shows you exactly what Is going to be on the test. Study those problems and you are set. Grades on if you follow the steps to solve the problem and doesnt worry about calculations. Take this guy!!

Prof Han is a great professor. There are 3 tests and a final exam which make up of all the final grade. Every time before the exam, Prof Han will give a review lecture that tells everyone how the question will look like, the question in the exam will be exact the same as the question given in the lecture. Also aware of his accent, kind of confusing

Go to lectures, pay attention. He will give out questions very similar to the test right before the test, if you study those and understand the material you will do fine.

Dr. Han is a very interesting professor. He explains things extremely well but at times can be downright rude. In his mind, it is so simple but he struggles to see how people can legitimately struggle. Only grades come from 3 tests and final but he works problems that are almost identical to the exam the class before, study them and you will pass.

Dr. Han was by the far funniest professor I've had at Auburn. Tell me quickly!!! Nobody knows??!?! Those lines combined with many more and beating the black board with a broomstick made every class enjoyable. Diff EQ isn't the easiest subject in the world but he gives problems exactly like the test problems a day or two before the exam.

Dr. Han does a stellar job of giving you everything you need to excel in his class. The class is graded solely by 3 midterms and a final. The week before any exam he will tell you exactly how many problems, what kind of problems, and will work examples that are almost exactly what you will see on the exam. He also curves at the end of the semester.

Dr. Han was AMAZING. I was scared of him at first, but he was actually hilarious and INCREDIBLE at teaching. The only thing that factors into your grade are the exams (3 exams that are worth 20% each and a final that is 40%)however, his review sessions before each exam give the EXACT type of problem so it really isnt bad. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Dr. Han was the best math professor I've had at Auburn. GO TO CLASS. His lectures were very engaging. He will go over the problems that will be on the test. Practice those multiple times and tweak the problems a little bit and you will do fine on the exams. 4 tests and a final make up your grade.

My favorite professor. Come to class! His tests are difficult but he tells you exactly what is on them before the test. His way of teaching seems very complicated but give it a chance. If you understand the idea on the test, he will give you full points, even if you get the wrong answer.

Homework is optional. Class is only graded by tests and finals. Will bump you up if you have increasing test scores over time. Take him if you can.

Yongsheng is unintentionally funny. There are only tests in the class, so no attendance and mandatory homework. Homework is optional to help and gives test review the class before a test. Always go to the test reviews, he gives the test questions with numbers changed. Go to class, you will not pass too.

Dr. Han is hilarious and committed to teaching his students. Differential equations is hard but that's just the nature of the course. Dr. Han makes it as easy as he can and gives excellent tests. Class attendance is also crucial to passing the course.

Dr. Han is a living legend

If you attend all class times, take notes, and do the study guides, you'll understand the material and succeed on the tests. In other words, this class requires a lot on your part, so I would not recommend it if you have been scraping by. If you do need help, you'll have to seek it outside of class, for all of his class time is used for lecturing.

The only grades were the tests and no homework. Has a very thick accent but can be understood. His grading criteria seemed to just be showing the correct process as having the incorrect answer on every test question would still result in an A. Made final optional if you had an A on every test.

Professor Han's lectures are entertaining and informative. While attendance is mandatory, the optional homework and practice exams make the class manageable. Unstuck AI was a lifesaver for test prep alongside the textbook. Overall, a solid math course worth taking.

GET THIS PROF FOR CALC III. He is one of the funniest professors I have ever had, even if he does not know it. His lectures are fine; he introduces shortcuts and wants you to understand the concept. Homework is optional, and while attendance is mandatory, he doesn't take it. He also gives you a review that is super similar to the test.

If you get him for differential equations and you go to class, you are set up for success. His lectures are understandable and end early a couple of times. He graded us on only three tests and a (maybe optional, TBD) final. Homework is optional, and attendance isn't recorded, but you need to go because he does not post his notes.

To succeed with Dr. Han, read the textbook and figure out anything you don't understand, as well as work through the homework. He can come off a bit harsh, but he makes up for it with his knowledge of the material. For our tests, we had around 5 questions, though some with 2-3 parts. He did weigh some tests more than others to help with your grade.

Dr. Han is the light in my life. 10/10 I love his class so much and he really cares about his students!

Han is a great professor and lights up my day everytime I walk into his class. He gives lots of homework but none of it is recquired/graded (its there for extra practice if you need it). The class is graded on only the tests but never fear he gives you pretty much the exact test before the exam and works through them during lecture. Go to Lecture!

Dr. Han is the 8th wonder of the world. He teaches the material well, traditionally, and relies on class participation which makes learning effective. He makes some errors and doesn't know how Canvas works, but he will send solutions and gives exact problems before tests. It's a little unorthodox, but overall I greatly enjoyed his class. Take it

Attendance is technically mandatory, but he doesn't check it. We had 4 tests, but he drops your lowest test grade for 3 tests worth 20% each. Final is comprehensive and is worth 40%. Before each test he gives a practice test that is exactly like the test with a few minor changes (e.g. cos to sin or x to y)

Attendance isnt madatory, but if you want to pass, then you better go to class. Gives you everything you need to know before the test. Never had a dull moment in his class as he is very funny.

funniest and most iconic teacher at auburn. attendance optional and tests were very similar to review, so go to review!! teaches everything by whiteboard and very little posted online, mostly just the reviews. tests graded very quickly. final is 40%, so be careful. TAKE HIM FOR DIFFEQ!

Diff Eq with Dr. Han was a breeze. You absolutely need to attend the lectures even though they aren't mandatory, but with practice, the content itself is not difficult. His study guides are very similar to the exams. While he wasn't exactly the most pleasant professor, he definitely had his funny moments. I'd totally take him again.

Dr. Han was a very solid teacher, but it took a couple weeks for him to find his rhythm. Attendance is not mandatory but heavily recommended, and before every test he will send out a practice test and exact answers that almost completely match the real test. Overall a good teacher, but he makes mistakes sometimes and is not very tech savvy.
