The best math teacher I have ever had. I never really understood math until now. She is tough at first, but if you follow her teaching method you will begin to understand how math works.

I loved her class. She was very helpfull and nice. Yeah the reviews werent very helpful because they were take home but her teaching was still good enough to not need the review.

Great professor... she was not there at the beginning due to her pregnacy but once she arrived she went right to work. Very clear yeah u dont review but it is not necessary because everything that is on the tests is on the notes. Loved her class!!

Wonderful, wonderful teacher, very helpful. Very easy going. I don't recommend her class for summer or winter but she made it so easy & fun. I strongly recommend her class. Very friendly too.

Mrs Yun is the best math teacher I've ever had. She is very clear and fair on the grading of her tests. Everything comes from the homework and the review. She'll even go over some problems right before the exams and they're often the same ones on the test you're about to take. However I wouldn't recommend taking Stats during the summer.Very fast

She is awesome. she is very helpful and easy to understand. she goes over everthing you need to know for tests and common final. she makes it easy for people who usually dont understand math.

Prof Yun is my favorite math teacher. She really cares about students who are willing to put in the effort required. I'm very challenged with math and sought her help. She explained things in a very clear, elementary, easy-to understand manner. I earned an A and feel I really understand the material. Office hours really helped.

Great Instructor! Covers every topic thoroughly. Provides great handouts to supplement lecture and great review suggestion before each exam. Grades fairly. Difficult subject, but understandable with this instructor. Very helpful and caring, but strict.

AMAZING teacher. she acually cares whether or not you leart he material. math is a subject that you must pay attention in order to learn and as long as you take notes and listen to what she is saying you will pass i guarantee it. she explains everything well and really wants everyone to do well

Fair teacher. She doesn't grade on a curve. Gives a lot of homework. covers everything on her tests. Uses examples from the homework and review. Wouldn't recommend buying a book. Borrow one from a friend or go to the library and borrow one. You only need it for the chapter tests. Need to buy webassign though.

Ms. Yun is the best teacher I have had at mission college. She wants all her students to pass the class. She will go out of her way for your success.

Good teacher! I've never liked math until I took 115 and 125 with her. She is very nice and helpful! She always tries to cheer up students with math. She provides study guides similar to test and attendance is very important to her.

Yun (or Yoon, she doesn't care) is a great math teacher. She's really sweet and praises people for good grades. She's very helpful and tries to make sure everyone gets the help they need. She does in class practice test reviews which really help because they're similar to the actual test. I recommend doing the mathlab test the day before the test.

Professor Yun is an amazing professor. She explains everything cleary and down to the point. She helps you whenever you need it and is very nice. :D

Overall was a good teacher. 3 things I didn't like: 1) didn't collect hw for a grade 2) doesn't drop lowest test unless final exam grade is higher than your lowest exam, 3) assigns group work & only grades 1 paper, so if you have egotistic people in your group who get every problem wrong, you'll get that grade- happened 3 times! I HAD to drop!!!!

Wonderful Prof. Nice, caring, provides clear explaination and doesn't move on unless everyone understands (as long as you speak up, that is). Great test reviews w/handout. Wants students to succeed.

She is such a great MATH teacher i took her for 123C and she was good. She is very sweet and the way she lectures makes it simple to understand! you will not regret taking her for a math.

She is teaching this course under the LA Mission College STEM Program. So, the class has more work than the usual Summer Class, other than mandatory attendance to PD 17 and a Writing Worshop immediately after. The next 2 classes after killed it for me. The more work is Example Book, 40Q Fake Test,20QHW per section,20Q quiz/test, and 20Q Final.

The Best! She uses MyLabsPlus. Doing HW on this helps you with preparing for the tests. She also hands out reviews for every test. As a teacher, she is a fair grader. She really does want every one to pass, giving us useful info on how to pass for the Final weeks before. She drops your lowest exam, and the rest is up to you to pass. Easy.

This is my 2nd semester taking her. I got an A last semester and an A this one too. She is super nice & fair. Just do all your work, study hard for the tests, & ask questions. If you fall behind see the professor after class she is more than willing to help. You also have the tutoring center and of course, the internet. There is no excuse to fail.

She's really awesome. She goes a little fast, but it's not too hard to keep up. I really think if you don't quite understand you go to her office hours. She's really easy to talk to. She drops your lowest test, she gives short quizzes once a week, and a final. Doing all homework and online quizzes helps your grade and study for tests.

The book is a must to be able to access online homework and quizzes, anything after that we didn't use it. She used it once for a group work, but that was it. She's very helpful and will go over things if time permits. She goes a little fast. Attending isn't mandatory, but being there really helps to understand the material and not struggle w/tests

Class is pretty easy. EVERYONE has to get the book in order to access the homework online. Same book from Math 115. She really tries to help her students. All the homework serves as a time to study. She drops one of the tests you take. Final is mandatory. Attendance is best to help you understand what you're learning.

She is a really good teacher and is very helpful. The test are free response so you should study before a test.

My 3rd consecutive math class with her and I earned 3 As with her. She does her best in trying to teach you math and is more than willing to help you during/after class if you need it. Any help I ever needed she provided. She's nice and funny, and willing to cut you breaks some times. No complaints, basically, your grade depends on your effort.

She is a wonderful professor and I truly learned a lot from her class. She really cares about her students and wants everyone to do well. As long as you do your homework and study the homework and review questions you should do fine. She is a reasonable teacher, but of course it is not an easy A because calculus is a hard subject.

As long you do the online hw, review and pay attention to her lectures you will succeed in her class. If you decide to take her 5 week course, be prepared to make this your first priority . She provides great feedback as long as you are willing to do the work.

Professor Yun is the best Mathematics professors at Mission. She is very approachable, and makes sure that her best interest is in teaching the students until they understand the subject. Although the subject she teaches can be difficult, her methods of teaching make the class very welcoming. I would highly recommend!

I highly recommend taking Yun for 227. I had her last fall semester for Math 137, and have taken her the following winter for 227. Professor Yun is a wonderful instructor, she is very clear and patient. She makes the criteria easy to understand, and she answers all questions. If you're taking her in winter expect homework, but easy to pass.

Prof. Yun is such a caring teacher. If you have any questions about the material, she'll be more than happy to explain it more. She goes slow on her lectures to ensure that everyone can understand. Whenever there's a problem with the online homework, you can count on her to help you solve it.

Hands down Professor Yun is an amazing math professor. I have taken her for 2 courses. Math is my weakness, but Professor Yun has helped me in so many ways. She's a must take. Yes there's a lot of homework involved, but it helps you out because the questions appear on the tests.

Professor Yun is a great math instructor. Math is my weakest subject and she basically teached everything I never understood in high school. I learned math basics thanks to her. She takes her time and gives great examples neatly. Tests were cumulative but not hard if you did homework. I would definitely recommend her!

Im not really one to rate professors but Professor Yoon was by far the best math instructor at Mission. She is so giving with grading .All her tests are written exams not multiple choice so she gives points for being on the right track!She does give homework for every section on xyz website. She is very kind and hilarious. Her lectures were great!

Professor Yoon is truly one of those professors who cares about their students, and making sure that they understand the material. I took her for online Stats, and yes it is a tough class, you have to keep up on your assignments, there is weekly homework, 3 exams, one project, and the final exam, and going to her office hours weekly helped a lot!

Professor Yoon is one of the nicest math professors that Ive met. Not only does she know the the material well she can convey the material in various ways. Just do the homework, study the exam guide as most of them will be on the exam in a similar matter. Understand the homework because her quiz problems will be similar to them. Nice grader!

Ive been dreading this class for a while and Im so happy I took it with Prof Yoon. Shes awesome, knowledgeable and helpful. The class takes work, especially online, a lot to do in a short time but the tests are exactly like the homework. If you try, youll pass. It takes self motivation so if you cant do that, you wont make it. Great class!

Professor Yun is hands down the best math professor I have ever had. She really wants everyone to understand and she really cares. She almost spent an hour on each exam day reviewing for us. She does explain things in a complicated way, but if you tell her that, she will find a hundred other ways to explain it to you until you get it.

Professor, Yun is well organized with her lectures. Making the class straight forward, but she tends to forget while she is teaching the subject. In my opinion, she can help you pass the class if you take advantage of her office hours and study labs. Not too difficult just expect to stay on top of your work and you'll do fine.

Took professor Yoon for Spring 19 online, and it was great. Exams have an option of doing it online or in person. If in person, she will meet with you before the exams for any/all questions. I did feel like there were some questions on exams we didn't really cover. But she will help you with anything you have a question on. Best math teacher!

I have taken Professor Yun for Math 125 and Math 227. She is a great online instructor and everything is organized and clear as to what is do when and what she expects of you. She is also very kind and caring and is always there to help you if you need her. I highly recommend taking her.

Professor Yun is an amazing teacher, she explains material excellently and will answer your questions until you understand. She has clear grading criteria and will give you partial credit for attempting problems, she won't take the class for you but she will definitely make the experience much easier. Take her if you have the chance.

Math is not easy, but if you do all the work and ask her questions, she will help. She is a very caring professor and she assigns a lot of homework, but it all helps with learning the material. The grading criteria and schedule is clear and she is well organized. I took her for Math 125 and 227, and I would definitely take her again.

Good for self-sufficient students. Exams proctored and consist of problems from textbook, mostly from HW. Studying for exams very tedious - mainly memorisation but if you're good at that then they aren't difficult. Final especially difficult in that regard because it's comprehensive and 27% of grade. Generous grader. Review sessions held in class.

Highly recommend this professor! Shes really clear on her instructions and is very helpful. She is willing to extend hw and offers examples and solutions to the problem that the class might have a hard time understanding. The exams are basically similar problems on the practice exams.

I took Professor Yun for 2 classes (Trigonometry and Statistics). For the classes that I took, we needed to get access to MyMathLab which was the only downside for me. Professor Yun is very understanding and although there aren't lectures, she offers help if you need it. Just make sure to not procrastinate and to practice math problems.

Professor Yun is great! She cares for her students and when I needed to take tests earlier she would let me. She helps out if you need it . She made stats less stressful. I would take her again. She did end up curving the grade and I got a D but still thankful she did!

I took Profesor Yun's Calculus 2 class in fall 2022 online and absolutely loved it. She gives plenty of materials and references to the material and the homework is heavily emphasized. The homework and subject may seem daunting but if you work for it and seek help through office hours and videos, you will pass. The test are hard but very doable.

Prof. Yun is so kind and sweet. But her class is extremely difficult during the Winter semester, so beware. I don't regret taking this, but my life was a living nightmare for a month since I'm not math oriented. There's just too much HW, so don't try to hold down a job at the same time. Prof. Yun, though, is wonderful. She was always there for me.

One of my favorite math professors, she genuinely cares. I took her in person for algebra, and online for trigonometry. she instructed with much care for the student. theres still group activity, lots of homework but overall the best math class experience I have had is from her teaching. still gives lots of assignments tho so be sure 2 ask 4 help.

I recommend Prof. Yun. She was a good teacher. You'll pass the class if you do all the hw, assignments, tests, quizess, as well as projects. Don't miss any of those most especially the exams. The project was kind of complicated for me but you'll get through it. Just try your very best and she'll help you. She wants you to pass the class.

Shes an online professor and that made the class so hard, but what helped so much was going to office hours. GO TO HER OFFICE HOURS!! She's so helpful and breaks things down so well. What helped me as well was youtube lectures. Specifically from @s.drake. Hopefully this helps, good luck.

Truly the best math teacher I've ever had. She's the only reason I passed math requirements for graduation. I took intermediate algebra and statistics with her. Unlike every other math teacher I've had, I learned the concepts in her class while taking notes, instead of taking notes all lecture then trying to teach myself the material later.

5 week course - a lot of work. Watch the videos and do the homework. Downside is having to pay for Pearson. But you are allowed to use StatCrunch. Trust me take her! I had to repeat this course because I got a bad grade w/ a different professor. I earned an A! I am horrible at math. There are projects required. Answers messages fairly quick.

Lectures can be a bit long but they pack information which she does a good job explaining. Homework isn't much of a problem if you do pay attention as she explains each step. If you ask her a question she won't hesitate to maker sure you understand. Very nice and calm personality.

Professor Yoon Yun is a great Professor, she worked with me with my busy schedule for Exams and always replied quick to emails. Take her, she is good and If I can pass, you can too just do all the hw and try your best on the exams.

I took Math 227 asynchronous 5 week summer course. The course load was heavy 4-5 hours a day, the hard part is no prerecorded lectures and some of the YouTube videos for help were bad you must teach yourself . upside very understanding when I was sick allowing late work and is quick to respond to questions. wasn't the best class for how I learn.

Yun's class is a lot of work, but engaging with the Pearson materials and using tools like Unstuck ai can really help. Exams are tough, but she's supportive if you put in the effort.

16-week in-person fall '24 class. Lots of hw, quizzes, few projects, and exams. If you want to pass, you need to actively pay attention/participate. Her lecture notes are quite useful and helpful, especially when studying for exams. My StatLab (a paid software where you do assignments) is used. Very patient/kind; makes stuff easy to understand.

Professor Yun is a great Professor! I took her for Math 262 in Spring 2025, and she was so helpful whenever I got into contact with her. She usually replies within a day. The workload was heavy and the exams were challenging, but you should do well as long as you study and stay on top of your assignments.

It was a bit tough but if you need help Professor Yun will go over it and help you with the work along the way. She allowed cheat sheets in Chapter exams, textbook was online for a code so take her class if you are committed to stay. Overall nice, kind of challenging, and helpful. Liked her class; even had a pizza party at the end of the semester☆

I took her class, and honestly, she's good. She's really flexible and supportive, always encouraging participation and questions to help you learn. The only real drawback is that she gets caught up in the lecture material and sometimes skips over how to actually use the software. Make sure you ask her questions about the software she uses.
