Dr. Marcano is very patient and professioinal with her students. Probably one of the best teachers I've ever had. There's a lot of work for her class, but I highly recommend her.

Her class was a breath of fresh air. You will learn a lot as long as you keep up! Needs to give more lab direction (and tie them in to class lectures) but otherwise, thumbs up!

Mrs. Marcano was always very helpful! She assisted me with ALL my questions and make sure I had a basic understanding of EVERYTHING. I enjoyed her class very much, it does get difficult at times but if you remain dedicated and patient then you will receive the grade you feel you deserved and worked hard for. Excellent A+ Prof! Study HARD & do ALL the work. NOT an easy class. Have a SOLID A going into the final as it's difficult and is a standardized ACS test. TIME MANAGEMENT on the final is KEY! If you're on the edge, she will help you if you've been to class every day. ALOT of homework, but helpful. Partial credit given for tests if work is correct.

Great instructor. Lots of homework, but helps prepare you. Lectures alot via PPt and does not use other teaching tools (videos, etc). Not easy class, must work hard and do all the work. Great professor! If you have any sort of hesitation with anything GO TO HER OFFICE HOURS! I have never had a teacher so willing to help out any student. She has a great model for her class where she makes her homework a lot tougher than the test so when the test rolls around you're well prepared. Def recommend to start chemistry in college!

Taking Chem201 over the summer, which is a difficult course! Prof. Marciano makes it very understandable and a five hour class fly by! She's very knowledgeable, and I think anyone could get an A if you're willing to study and do the work! Hope she's teaching 203 in the fall! I'll definitely be taking her for the rest of my Chem classes if I can!

Excellent! She's very willing to answer questions during class and makes sure everyone understands the subject matter before moving on. Chemistry is a difficult course that she breaks down into easily understood concepts. Definitely recommend her classes if chemistry is not your strong suit.

Really liked Professor Marcano. Reading the text helps a lot, but her power points and lectures are so thorough that you could get by without the textbook. I was nervous taking chem initially, but she made the material very understandable and the semester enjoyable! Def recommend!

Always willing to meet with students during office hours. She gives homework that is really good practice and isn't heavily weighted so there is room for mistakes/corrections before the tests. She's very passionate about chemistry and teaching and interested in her students success (you do have to sit through some bad chemistry jokes though lol)

Don't miss class! Skipped a day and was able to catch up, but it's so much material that missing several days would be awful! Reading the text isn't the same as having her teach it, that's for sure! Tests, quizzes, and homework all graded very quickly! Posts to blackboard immediately so you know where you stand in the class! Quizzes are usually group work and she goes over EVERY wrong answer for the class. She doesn't curve grades, (this is college, she shouldn't have to) but an A is VERY obtainable if you study and pay attention

Prof. Marcano told us that she has a vested interest in us learning this stuff, because she k ows a lot of us need the classes for medical professions. She said she felt an obligation to make sure we were educated, comfortable, and successful. It shows in her classtime! She is very thorough and really cares! Wish every teacher cared as much

Marcano is a stellar professor! She is great at seeing the material from many angles in order to help you navigate the learning process. Her homework solidifies concepts taught in lecture. An A is totally doable if you complete the required work and attend all the classes. You can get a good grade with her AND understand the material. Win-win!

I would not have survived Organic Chemistry without Dr. Marcano. I have had multiple classes with her and she knows the subject and makes it fun! You can not pass chemistry without doing the work, so expect to read and practice. She is clear in what is expected and is a meticulous grader. I LOVED this professor. Homework assignments don't take too long and are useful. She explains everything in class so if you pay attention and do the homework you will not have to study much at home (I didn't open the book once). If you understand how to do the sample problems in class you'll do well on her exams.

I was terrified of chemistry. Dr. Marcano made it interesting and easy. She would repeatedly explain the material until everybody understood it, only then she would move on. She gave us 4% extra credid for going to a tutor twice per exam period. She is sweet, patient, kind and understanding. We need more teachers like her at MX.

Dr. Marcano is the best science professor I've ever had, at community college and university level! She breaks things down so everyone gets it, and provides examples using different methods. She is honest and gives you the tools to succeed. Attend class, pay attention, ask questions, turn in your work on time.

Definitely recommend her class! I took Physical science. There was a good amount of homework that had to be done weekly but it was pretty easy and she is a fair grader.

This is a great professor especially for Chemistry. If you are worried about taking Chemistry, take it with her. Her grading scale is fair as long as you pay attention and do your homework you are guaranteed to pass with an A or a B. Your homework can primarily be found from the book with the odd numbers in the back. Labs are easy just show up.

Its not easy to make a subject like chemistry interesting, understandable, and fun; yet somehow, Dr. Marcano manages to do all three. She cares about your success and is more than happy to answer any questions. Even if youre not the best at math (and boy is there a lot of math) her thoroughness will help you grasp tricky concepts.

Marcano is an AMAZING teacher! She really breaks everything down and gives all the tools necessary for success. Word of advice do not fall behind on HW and DO ALL HW. All points are valuable. My C definitely would have been a B if I didn't miss 2 HW assignments and also if I took advantage of tutoring, I'm sure that B would have been an A.

Explained all of the concepts patiently. If you go see a tutor twice before an exam you will get an extra 5 points. You can do this 4 times in the semester. If you work hard you will get a B or an A.

Chemistry is a hard course, this was my 2nd time taking it and Mrs. Mercano made it so much easier. Her lectures are very detail but long. She's always available to help and gives extra credit on exams. However, she does not take in late work, I can understand that. Take Chemistry with her, you wont regret it.

Best professor, she is very organized, her teaching skills are on point. If you dont understand something shes willing to help you out in class and outside of class. Theres a lot of homework, every ch. has two parts but it helps study and prepare for exams. I really do recommend this professor :)

Show up to class because there are some dense subjects but she teaches really well and it will only benefit you to show up, if you ask her to go back and explain it she will until you understand it and she answer's private questions very quickly. There's a good amount of homework but she gives reasonable time to complete them. She's great :)

Dr. Marcano is a really stellar instructor. It's clear she cares about the subject and her students and puts in the work to ensure that if you care to learn, you'll learn. If you come to class, and do the homework & labs, you'll learn the material and do well enough on the exams to get a good grade in the class.

I recommend taking this class, yes it requires a $100 text book, but it was worth it's an easy A just as long as you do the readings and discussions. She's a really nice professor and at least you don't have to do any essays, highly recommend:)

Easy A if you do the work. You read one chapter every week and take a quiz or homework assignment based on that chapter. 3 major exams, material in exam 1 is included in exam 2. Materials in exam 1 and 2 are included in exam 3. Everything is organized so you won't get lost. Overall is an easy class I would take her classes again If I had to.

Professor is great and easy to get a hold of if you have any questions. Lots of reading but manageable. Download her PDF lectures and read them before you read the chapter. Definitely make reading the book a lot easier. I found the class challenging but I enjoyed reading about space.

She is really great! you can learn a lot of chemical things to her. But you have to do group work. If your group members don't participate well, you gotta do a lot of things for them or yourself

I absolutely liked Professor Marcano! It is not a regular "online course" we only met up 3 times throughout the entire semester which was really easy. She would assign weekly assignments due every Sunday; which is easy because we have a week to get them done. I really enjoyed this class I would highly recommend it!

This was my first 100% online class, no lectures - and it was awesome. She clearly laid everything out for the whole semester on day 1. I was able to work ahead and finish everything early. Have to buy an at-home lab kit, that was a little expensive, but was kind of fun to do at home. Hopefully my other fully online classes will be like this one!

Took professor Marciano during the summer and I passed with an A( my first ever chemistry class), it was aSynchronous, so I did most of my homework before the due date. If you dedicate to doing your homework, labs and exams you will definitely pass the class, she uploads videos weekly to explain each topic. She an easy grader. TAKE HER!!!

I took Professor Marcano via a traditional online style class. I found it easy. the reading is quick and if you don't understand she's available to work with you. She posts a weekly video lecture on Monday to review the content. I worked ahead and finished 4 weeks early. The homework is set up to allow you to learn from & correct your mistakes.

Excellent professor - very organized and patient. Lectures are worth attending to understand the material. Utilize Unstuck study, the textbook, and group study to succeed in this class.

Online class (no zoom) and I enjoyed this class. Very easy to receive an A. Had I put in a little bit more effort I probably could have received an A+. Word of advice: do not procrastinate on the labs like I did, they can take a while or require an overnight drying period.
