THe worst professor that I had. He screwed my whole GPA up because he is hard to understand and he puts together tests that questions are very difficult to understand. His tests are worse than the SAT's. Would never recommend his classes to anyone to take

At first it seemed just like macroeconomics, then once the first test rolled around everyone was shocked at how poorly they did. His tests are worded vaguely and very difficultly. I advise you consider taking another teacher for this course.

Very boring class. Reads right out of the book and is very unclear. There's only 3 quiz's which count the same as tests and a final, but they're hard. I dropped the class and so did a lot of others. Heard he failed 3/4 of his class before. Don't take him!

This man is horrible as a professor and a human being. He should teach abroad b/c he can't speak English. NO ONE should take him. I had him a few years ago and by others comments he still sucks. His tests are very hard and I'm suprised they're in English

Choi is extremely boring. He takes the information right out of the book and their really is no point in going to class, but he takes attendance. I suggest you drop that class!!

Professor Choi does not teach at all.I went to his class everyday and understood nothing.His test are extremely hard and he doesn't even make them up.He only looks at the test for the first time after it has been taken and we are reviewing it. Drop him!

Worst professor in the world. Doesn't care about student progress and can't teach if his life depended on it. Wish I dropped the class like the other 3/4 did. Whoever made him a teacher should be ashamed because he sucks.He shouldn't be allowed to teach.

Prof. Choi is horrible. Semester started w/ 50 students and ended w/ only 5. Doesn't like to help students out, curves tests but not your final grade for the course. I got an 86, 96, 96 on first 3 tests and did well on final and just got a B. Avoid him!

1st class I dropped and thank god. He is impossible. You can't even hear his lectures because he whispers, but they're boring anyway. Tests are impossible. After 1st test 1/2 the class will drop. DROP HIM!!!!

I have to admit, this class was great because of all the sleep i got in it. If you enjoy chinese economics, this is you class. Guys a joke, tests are impossible and he doesn't even know what he sayin. If you recorded his voice, id reccomend playing if you cant sleep cause hell put u right out.

Are you seriously telling me that someone actually hired this guy? Don't lie to yourself people, and think that you can teach yourself just because this guy can't teach. You're paying pretty pennies, and believe me, you'll definitely waste them on this teacher. No lies. He's the worst, NO JOKE.

Has the be the most uninteresting professor in the world. Doesnt care for the class at all. As soon as he walks in the door, he wants to walk out. Dont listen to him in class because he will only confuse you. Best best is to read the textbook if you want to stay for the class. Very rewarding for getting an A in the class because you taught yourself

St Johns University should be ashamed of themselves to have him as faculty. As long as they keep him on staff they will always be a second rate university. Shame I say... Shame on you St. Johns.

Seriously, do not take this professor. There are others for the same subject that do not take attendance. You will end up teaching everything to yourself and his grading scale is really hard to do well on. Besides that, he is incredibly boring and you will fall asleep every single class -- attendance = mandatory.

For such an intelligent man, he employs virtually no logical debate about subject matter. He refutes his initial premises in argument. Attendance is a must and his exams are worded ambiguously with vague answer choices. Use of textbook is prevalent, yet lectures are vague; neither text nor lectures (alone or together) is sufficient exam prep.

Well if you like going to class and sleeping because he bores the hell out of you and when it comes to test time you dont learn a thing so you have to teach yourself..then this is the class for you. OH and he doesnt give extra credit!

probably the worst professor i have had in business school. his teaching technique (or lack thereof) is usless. His exam questions are far off from the homework and unfair. Clearly knows the stuff but cant convey ANY of it to the students. Avoid if possible

If you value your GPA do not take him. He doesnt teach you anything just rambles on and on (with a heavy accent) and nothing is comprehensible. Test questions are not at all on what he goes over in class and you are pretty much guaranteed to fail. Online quizzes are easy but the tests are impossible

He often rambles during his lessons and no one understands/hears him. His weekly online tests are pretty easy if you pay attention in class and do the study guides. The midterm had none of the questions he told us to review on it and was extremely difficult. He does not believe in extra credit, and is not at all approchable. I ended up withdrawing

His class is extremely boring. He talks in a low monotone voice that makes you want to drift off to sleep. Everything is online (quizzes, tests). The quizzes are ridiculously easy, they're based on the study guides. The tests are insanely difficult. He is a horrible professor. He is not clear, and extremely a bore.

I had him for Money and Banking. HE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT THE FIELD! Hes a nice guy, I enjoyed toying with him but you have to teach the class yourself! All of the tests are from the textbook publisher and are VERY tricky. If you can't understand it from the textbook he is not going to make it easier for you. They should make this class a ind. study.

Really bad teacher. He just flat out doesn't teach anything. He just rambles on in horrible english about his graphs that don't help with anything. His weekly quizzes are really hard, and are worth 10% of the grade. He also only gives a midterm and a final. they are impossible. I am a straight A student and I got a C in his class. Don't take it!

Horrible Professor,Midterm and Final 40% each 90 questions on each, Dont let the school fool you and think your getting a lecture class with him, he is entirely online, he doesnt teach anything and you will fail. Gives no extra credit and makes you do a quiz ever week only worth 10%. Im an A student and he Gave me a C+ HE RUINED MY GPA

He is the worst prof at stj. All he does is ramble in broken English about irrelevant stuff. He doesn't teach what he wants you to know. He gives a quiz per chapter, which is about 18 or so, and all of them together are worst 10% of the grade. His final is worth 50%, midterm is worth 35%. Its not a lecture class, its an online class. Don't do it

Arguably the worst teacher I have ever had. He would start class by rambling on about something irrelevant in broken english. I would fall asleep and wake up to him still rambling on the same thing in even poorer english. I learned absolutely nothing in his course and his class made me regret ever coming to St John's University.

save yourself the trouble of attending class 2 days a week and just find an online course because this class is basically that. he will not teach you in class he will lecture you about how great asian economies are. he will not teach you a thing you need to know for his tests.

Passed with an A. Seriously, his in class lectures were so stupid and he is so monotone. Every single assignment is online. You pretty much teach yourself everything online for the midterm and final. Both of those are online too. You should pass with lower than a B. Just a boring class to sit through. He is no help with assignments also.

This class was not good. He is a smart man but talks for the whole class about nothing that is of use. The test is hard and is from the textbook WHICH he doesn't teach out of. No review no outline, you basically have to guess. Not an easy A unless you can memorize 6 chapters at a time. Basically had to teach myself.

midterm, final, group paper/presentation, attendance are all he grades you on. 85% of your grade is from final and midterm. He does not explain topics that well. Softspoken and uses many examples in class. His graphs and explanations confuse me. He curves the midterm. I got a 99 because he gave everyone 20 points. Boring class but he is fair

If you can, just take an online class. For the midterm, I pretty much just taught myself from the textbook. He takes attendance so you have to go to class althougn it is a huge waste of your time.

I took him online, he does not seem very friendly and it's tough to communicate with him! The discussions are okay even though you have to spend a significant amount of time on them! Test are not too difficult! Can't submit anything late he will not accept!

dont know why he is even a professor at such an expensive university. you will learn nothing and you will hear nothing. dont do it to yourself.

Lectures were interesting despite the dry subject. He assigns 60+ pages to read per week. We are quizzed on 6-7 terms he chooses. A lot of people fail. Extensive writing and presentation assignment. Test is hard and 60% o. So hard. there's typos in the questions. If he says exam will cover only 1 textbooks , you'll find textbook 2 questions.

he will ruin your grade

Only gives you three tests a semester and if you fail the first you might as well drop. Only offers a couple lectures for extra credit which you only can get a maximum of two points (one for going and one for a very detailed reflection). If you can change professors, I would.

this class is awful. I only took professor Choi's class as it was given to me as a freshman at the University. His tests are extremely difficult and hard todo well on. I took AP Macro and Ap Micro and high school and I'm still struggling to even do well on his assignments. Luckily he curved the first midterm by 20 points.

I had a 7:30 class with him. He is a soft-spoken teacher and it is very hard to listen to him. He only does 3 major tests in his class. Studying this topic was very hard for me and he did not help in any way. His tests did not cover the material he taught us. Also, his tests were online and I wouldn't recommend this teacher at all.

dont take him. i took him way back in my freshman semester when they made my shedule for me. i dont get why he teaches. just ruins students' grades. he does give curves that helps. i got a 40 on my final so im suprised i gott a b- but im tthankful. but i would suggestt taking someone else. the class is basically u teaching yourself.

Clearly is copy+pasting his module assignments from 4+ years back, as some questions do not even make sense in current times. Will arbitrarily take points off assignments without explanation. Grades assignments lazily, as evidenced by him grading them late Sunday night, meanwhile he is very strict with regards to handing in any late work.

One of the worst professors of all time, if you see this professor and it is your only option... take a semester off. He bombed my graduate grade and is one of the toughest graders you will ever face. If I would have known this man was a college professor I would have never applied for college.

Didnt provide helpful feedback, incredibly tough grader. Lectures are so boring and i love economics. no exams other than final and he grades short answers very harshly. wouldnt recommend this professor at all. avoid at all costs

Terrible I was in a fully online course he gives so many assignments for the week and he is not understanding at all if you miss some and he doesn't help you at all or teach its just you reading the textbook and figuring it out on your own. The tests are on lockdown browser too.

the prof barely taught anything, and had no original material but he posted weekly assignments on mindtap, which you have to pay like a hundred for, and the exams were on lockdown browser. wouldn't take again.
