Professor Park Lee has her doctorate in mathematics and is only interested in her students' success. She brings a unique, enthusiastic brand of teaching - you will understand the material. She does, however, have very high expectations of the students - attendance, punctuality, manners (which one should have anyway)

She is knowledgeable for sure, got Ph.D. but doesn't know how to teach. She jumps from her own notes to survival guide. The result is zero! You have to learn everything by yourself. So what is the point of the class?Boring and at the end of the class you start to hate phrases like:"I love my students so much.I'm so proud of you.Good job".

Quizzes and tests are easy, however, the worst thing in the class is the lectures. Barely even uses the Survival Guide (don't buy it, she doesn't really do examples in it). You really have to spend hours on your own to understand the material when you could have gone to a different teacher and understood concepts in class. Wouldn't reccommend her.

She is a nice person and is available for her students all the time, but she just doesn't know how to teach the material. She talks way too fast and it is with a deep accent so it is hard to make out what she is saying. You have to read the material all on your own and if you are not good in math, forget about it, go get a better teacher.

Dr. Lee is a very good teacher. She often shows you how to do things in many different ways. She is also very good at relating one subject to another so that you see connections. If you have forgotten a lot of your rudimentary math, she will help you catch up. Very caring and solid teacher.

I completely disagree with the other reviews. Perhaps it's because my experience is in the 1A class, but I found Dr. Lee very clear and insightful. Don't take her class if you don't want to self-learn. Her lessons are unclear and fast-paced, so most of us just sit there trying to decipher what she's saying. She also doesn't plan her classes very well and doesn't care about giving us enough time to do in-class activities. And for me personally, she was rude and unhelpful when I asked for help.

Diff Eq is a difficult course. My experience with Dr. Park Lee is that she was a fair grader, but expects a lot from students. I would recommend her for Math majors, but not for other majors trying to get through their math requirements. She emphasizes the importance of logic in defending your answers. Very difficult and very rewarding.

Good: provides lecture notes. Bad: Graded on checkpoints (tests) and final. Sample checkpoints are nothing like the graded ones. Checkpoint is one problem with A-R parts, so if you mess up part A, you don't stand a chance (there aren't multiple different problems). Asks "are you sure" every time you answer a question whether it's right or not.

Park Lee is smart, but cannot teach. At all. At this point it is easier to solve for spherical coordinates without any background than to come up with a logic explanation for how she still has a job at foothill. Math question: What is the relation between the amount of time passed and the amount of students screwed over by Park Lee?

She really likes math and expects students to understand the math at the level she does. She can be a good teacher for some people, but she's one of the worst I had so far. Pre-class reading is required, and she only goes through annotated notes during class.

She cares about her students very deeply, but at the same time she doesn't make it easy on the students' ends. In addition, her lecture skills isn't quite adequate either,

I don't think she is someone who cares about students. She is just showing off in a proud manner. As a teacher, the most important thing is to respect students and teach them, not to create difficulties from a high-and-mighty position and take pleasure in it. Just look at how many empty seats there are in her class, and you'll know her true level.

Young Hee is a great professor. Calc 1D is a difficult class, but she is here to help you through it. The ppl rating before me are the negative extreme of the population. I know many people that got an A w/ Park Lee. She takes time to answer questions carefully during lecture and OH if you ask so take advantage. Y'all got A's on lock don't trip.

park lee doesn't care about you in the slightest. she is on a power trip and thinks she is better than all her students. at every single point in this 12 week class, everyone around me was insanely confused. no one understood any of the content she was trying to explain. listen to what everyone else has said and AVOID HER.

The class is very concepts heavy, which means you need to go over the lectures until you get every step, but after you are all set. You have to work for your grade, but she is very supportive, take the class to learn the material, not for the grade.

It's hard to understand he, given how low she speaks, and sometimes couldn't get we say to her. Her grading consists little to no partial marks, doesn't give feedback on answers, and dropping a question's marks completely results in horrible grades for all tests. The class could only be good if you could study on your own by looking at her slides.

Avoid her (esp if you really want an A). Lectures are unhelpful, she just clicks through the steps of problems and barely explains. Claims that she grades with partial credit, but she barely does and her feedback is incredibly unclear. Hard to practice material at home since the textbook questions are completely different from the ones she writes.

Thought it would be fine because it was online, but I could have never been more wrong. Had to look up outside sources to actually learn the material. Even if lectures are mandatory, unless you are able to pay attention through hours of the slowest lectures, take this class with a different professor. Test feedback is literally just '?'

Professor is passionate about math and truly cares about her students. The final can replace lower exam scores, which is great. Since the course is still ongoing, it's unclear how strictly the final will be graded, but if partial credit is generously given, it would really help, especially for students under pressure or planning to transfer.

The tests are the only way you get a grade with this professor(90% of it, exactly). Even if you get to drop the lowest score, you're still going to be on thin ice. The tests themselves are extremely bloated for the 1.5 hrs you get for them. She says she gives partial credit, but actually doesn't. She gives no test feedback, other than a ?.
