Business version of stat. At first did not like the teacher much. Thought he was hard. Over time I realized he prepares you for the common final. Alwyas has time for help. The only bad thing is he is very hard to understand. Speaks with asian accent

hes really nice... he has a thick accent but he told us that at the beginning of the course (so stop complaining!!) anyway, hes sweet and funny.

Good prof if you can get passed the accent. He is good about repeating himself when people can't understand him. The tests aren't too hard, and he has practice tests online for you to study with. Go to every class because he doesn't always teach by the book. Doesn't make you do the hw, but it helps.

Good teacher, like someone else said, dont try to say you didnt understand because of his accent,its not THAT strong. He is very helpful and gives examples. You are however better off not doing the homework, sometimes it will throw you off. Just listen and TRY and you will do fine!

His class is so easy. He doens't mind helping you in our out of class, if you don't understand something. His accent isn't that bad, you have to just get used to it. Like "numbers" are "numbers". It's really not that hard. Tests are easy, pop-quizes, attendence only sometimes, homework not req.

If you know algebra already then this class is a breeze. Tests are very easy with only like 25 questions. He let's you take online quizes for extra credit but you won't really need, I do them to study with. Not bad accent, he's funny. Has a quiz everyday for attendence but let's you miss like 4 classes.

easy teacher. Teaches everything in detail and will stop to answer any questions. Tests are easy and cover exactly what was covered in class. Also he keeps the class awake by telling funny lil dry jokes that make everyone laugh.

Very good professor. Explains concepts very well for the most part and is very nice and tries to crack some jokes that arent too funny but atleast he tries. His accent might get in the way at first but you get used to it. I'd choose him over any other professor for math.

A very funny person, very nice teacher .. very eary tests .. attendance counts as 5% EXTRA credit .. do all homework .. n do the previous tests posted on his website and it's an easy A .. i got more than 100 .. haha

He makes the class straight up and not too difficult. He's not incredibly good at explanations but he tells you exactly what will be on the tests. He understands that students learn more by making the tests at a modest difficulty so they can pass them themselves rather than make it ridiculously hard and curving at the end. Would take again.

I am definitely not a math person, but this class wasn't half bad. Dr. Diao is a really cool guy and is not too hard to understand. His one fault is that he will never just cancel class - he will always have a SUBSTITUTE! We had some pretty crazy subs too. Tips for success: Do the homework and Webwork - it pays when it comes to the final exam!

class isn't hard if you are a math person. he can be hard to understand at times, but he is a good profeseor. do the webwork, seriously. he is helpful and pretty easy going.

Great teacher and funny. Loves teaching and explains everything clearly. Gives great extra credit opportunity with webwork so you can get a test score of 150. This also helps you study. Always answers e-mails promptly if you have a question. Very likeable and will work with you. He wants his students to succeed. Don't miss class, you will get lost.

He is a great Professor. Although he has a big accent. He repeats anytime you ask. He writes out examples to webwork for extra help. He does give quizzes to check for attendence.As long as you do the webwork and pay attention you will pass.

Awesome! His grades mostly come from webwork, which even sometimes on the due day he will help with. Homework is not required but he lists helpful problems that you can do on your own and ask about if you care to do them. He is in no way incomprehensible; I've had mumbling teachers with no accents that are less clear and less helpful.

I have to say! He has a great sense of humor! He is so funny and the way he explain problems are so simple to understand, he gives you webwork every week, quizzes everyday for attendance, but they're so easy! You're likely to make an A! He gives you lots of grades! Which is a total EXCELLENT thing! Unlike professors with just 3 grades a semester!

Very nice guy, definitely should do the webwork because it will replace your lowest test grade, and the webwork is pretty easy. He puts help online for homework and gives you a review sheet for the test which is very similar to the actual tests he gives. Great class

Also do the webwork because the grade replaces your lowest test. His accent makes him hard to understand but he's really actually funny. Would definitely recommend.

I suck at math, so Diao wasn't exactly easy for me due to his teaching style (kinda sparse on creating examples while going over the solving method). That said, doing the webwork helped a speck and working through the old tests helped a ton. Putting in extra hours to practice helped me to pass with a B. As for his his accent, it wasn't an issue.

One of the nicest teachers ever. If you do your homework and study a bit before the class it is no problem. He has a heavy accent but he is aware of it. He truly cares for his students.

He is the best! He gives a quiz every class but you can take it with others and he will help you. His lectures are clear the majority of the time. He is really helpful with homework (puts help on moodle and answers questions in class). He also gives a study guide for the test that is the same questions just with different numbers.

He's the absolute best! He gives 4 question quizzes every class, but you get to work on them with the people around you. He assigns homework on a website called Webwork. I believe there's only 3 tests the entire semester and a final exam. He's always willing to help his students and he loves what he does! Has an accent, but not hard to understand

Loved Professor Diao! He was always willing to help. Quizzes in class are easy, and you get to work on them with your peers. His study guides are very similar to the test but usually slightly different problems so be careful! He drops lowest test and replaces with webwork average which should be an easy 100.

Prof Diao is one of the best teachers I had; he really tried to give you chances to improve your grade and he told the most inspirational stories about his past in China. The amount of people who didn't respect him made me sick. But his accent really wasn't that bad. As long as you do most of the online homework and study guides, its an easy A!

Professor Diao's lectures might not be the best, but he does care about his students and the material he is teaching. He holds office hours regularly and is fast emailing you back. He provides helpful practice tests and is flexible with his schedule if you need help.

Prof. Diao is a wonderful teacher. He took his time teaching the material and made sure students understand. The class is test-heavy so beware. Our lowest test grade was replaced with the avg. of the homework/reading assignments. All tests and test reviews are similar with different numbers. Attendances are mandatory with a daily quiz. This was an online/virtual class. The material, at times, was difficult to understand. However, all tests were open book/internet/notes. This made the class so much easier. Best to all!

Dr. Diao has been my favorite professor ever. I took diff eqs with him & he was amazing. He is super smart & knows exactly what he's talking about & is always prepared for lectures. He doesn't give a ton of hw, & tests are open note. He cares about his students & does his best to help you learn the material rather than just memorize it. Recommend!

Great teacher, made the material very accessible and easy to understand. Probably top 3 teachers I've ever had. Do the ALL of the homework and you should be fine for tests (which are open note.) Very accessible outside of class. He genuinely loves math and enjoys teaching so his class is great. Please be nice to him.

Dr. Diao is a great professor who does what he can to make sure you understand the sometimes difficult material and really wants to see his students succeed. All tests were open note and are based entirely on his lectures which he posts on canvas. If you do the homework and go to class you should pass. 100% recommend if you struggle with math.

The class I had with Dr. Diao was great. Compared to other classes, this one was the only one that was organized well, easily accessible, and he made the work and class criteria easy to understand. He's very caring, inspirational, wants students to succeeed, and overall an awesome professor. A top educator in my opinion. Be nice to him!

Prof. Diao is caring and kind when it comes to grades. You have 3 exams the entire semester and a final. He gives you study guides for the first and second exams that are identical to the exams. The last exam he didn't give a study guide, but the material was easier. The final consisted of all three exam questions, so study those for the final.

Dr.Diao is a funny and chill guy. He was open to what's going on in your life. He also makes the class easy as long as you pay attention. His tests are very similar to the test reviews as well.

Great professor. I took Matrices and Linear Algebra, which was a very difficult course, but he did very well teaching it and the structure of the class was great.

Dr. Diao is very caring and funny but also knows his stuff and how to teach it well. Attendance is mandatory there is the option to attend online if you can't make it. DiffEq is not easy but his tests are open-note and he lets you replace your lowest test grade with the homework average so DO THE HOMEWORK! Overall great professor 100% recommend.

Very nice and funny professor. Attendance is important, with a daily participation "quiz" grade. Easy to follow the lectures, but make sure to take notes. Homework is through WeBWorK, which can be a pain to work with. Tests are online (but in-class), and are open note.

He's a super nice professor who really wants people to do good. 3 tests and a final and he drops ur lowest test grade for ur homework grade. Tests are pretty easy and the final is made up of questions from test 1-3. You can use all your notes and his lecture notes on tests+final, so if ur not getting an A or B it's probably ur fault.

Give this man an award. He's an amazing professor and genuinely cares about your wellbeing. He has four tests (3 course tests and 1 final) and he drops your lowest test score and replaces it with your average from assignments and in class attendance quizzes (which are like 4 easy questions to ensure you're paying attention.
