He really cares about his students and wants to see you succeed. Just do the best you can and he will do his best to help you through it. Hes also very funny, he had us all laughing most of the time.

I would take Mr.Yoo for every course if I could.He made some really complicated math seem like nothing more than basic addition.You will be so happy you took him.If you have at least 2 brain cells in your head,you should be able to pass his class with flying colors.If not you still can pass just cause he will put in the effort u didnt A+ teach

He's not a GOOD teacher, he's a GREAT teacher.They should put him on Sesame Street,because I guarantee you,4 yr. olds could learn linear math with him.But, there are those in our school that think books are for hiding behind when theyre on their cell phones and studying is too much work.Even they passed,but do a lil work, easy A

He deserves a teacher of the year award. He is smart, funny, cute...and makes even the hardest math bare able. I am really glad I have had the opportunity to have him 2 semesters. His teaching style is one you won't want to miss if you are an education major.

Oh he is the best of the best...might be a little throwed off by his accent but this man knows his stuff. he goes over problems so much that you;; be more then ready for the test...highly recommended =)

I was absolutely awful at math, and he made it easy. His accent takes some getting used to, but he's easy, just do at least some of the homework and pay attention in class. Follow the homework review in class and you'll do fine. If you are hard of hearing I do not recommend this class, he does speak quickly and with his back to you often!

He is the best teacher ever in the ccp history in the math department. i had him for math 162 and 171 and i got the grade A in both classes. i am taking rest of the math classes with him. i enjoy his classes. I recommend him for every math student in the ccp.

That person down below was let out of the nut house a day early and a few pills shy of sanity. Mr. Yoo is an EXCELLENT teacher. If he doesn't know your name-it's because you probably didn't show up to class. He even was begged by my class to teach probability after we had him for linear-he did that for us! He luvs his students and truly cares!

I hate math, but this professor is such a good teacher those problems were a breeze. the hmw problems were almost identical to test problems. he has an accent but if you pay attention you will be fine!

He's an excellent professor. Explains everything in detail, explains what we use each tool and formula for, he's clear, sociable, very humble, and very fair. Do you work, as he gives a fair amount; study, again a fair amount, and you'll get an A.

ONE OF THE BEST. Bottom line. If you are one of those students who doesnt do the homework, than ofcourse you will fail. But the exercises that he gives for homework will be similar as the test. Take him if you have to take Calc - Diff Eq!

OMGif you can't get an A in this class I dunno in what you can.Tests are extremely long but once you get the hang of it you'll do just fine.He realizes that's it's bit hard class so he gives a huge curve at the end just by turning in your attendance quiz!Poor guy he complains that no one in the math dept.wants to teach Stats.so they dumpedit onhim!

I'm not sure if it is deliberate but he Mr. Yoo is very entertaining especially when he is solving problems on the board and people starts asking questions...he is very funny, cute as a kid!Easy A if you study all the attendance quizes! Oh yeah there is a curve too!! But you won't even need it if you do the problems that he hands out!Heis too funny

I took his class for my whole math career in CCP. i had to say. HE IS AWESOME. no hws. four test. he curved the grade. and he explain it crystal clear and at the fast pace too. so we got a lot of things done in one class. in my life, he's the best math teacher. he made me love math more than my major, chemistry. :)

great teacher; highly recommendable. you do need to take your part & spend plenty of time doing homework & reviewing if you know you're not a well test taker. unfortunately, my test grades in his class resulted me changing my major. if you can't pass him, your probably not meant for the subject :/

Awesome teacher. Extremely helpful. Does reviews for all the test so you can know what to study. He does have an accent but if you pay attention it's not a problem. If you go to class, practice the homework problems and come during the reviews you'll pass.

This is a good professor and i like this guy and i must say that im taking this professor for the rest of my math classes hands down.

He has a great reputation, and I think it's because his approach to teaching is an example based approach. If you're an engineering student, you'll really love him. If you like to know the "why", he might not be the best professor for you. He's a really nice guy, he's funny, and he's super helpful outside the classroom.

i like this professor because he will theach you and you have to know all your formular. he doesn't let student with calculator or cheat sheet that is the reason i like him.

One of the best professor at the school. He knows the field very well. Solves all h.w. problems you don't understand. Grades on 4 tests. And he is funny and likable. Tries to help everyone understand the work and does a lot of examples on the board.

I have always struggled in math classes - it is easy to get disoriented if your professor pushes through the numbers but not the concepts they are wrapped around. Dr Yoo gives you the concepts, the goal of each method and walks you through examples with humor and clarity. I may still loose points on tests for miscounting but I get the right idea!

Professor Yoo is awesome! He's makes his student's feel very inclusive, not exclusive, in his class lectures. Since he's a bit of a class clown himself, his humor puts students at ease, making for a more conducive learning environment. So,when learning's fun, it's easier to learn crap.

Soooo... Best teacher I have ever had in math. Took him for Linear Algebra and got an A, now have him for Diff EQ. Some people can never be pleased, but this is a very good teacher. Most will be happy and learn a lot of math before they even realize it. He has even helped me with recommendations. Definitely goes beyond his call of duty. Thank you!

Hard class, but he's a good professor. You will need to know what formula goes with what questions in order to do well on the three exams and final.

Prof Yoo is a very good teacher and is committed to seeing his students succeed. He will reward effort and hard work even when your ability falls short Very easy to understand(slight accent) and funny which makes the time fly. Gives guide to whats on the test, will go over material(taught in a clear easy to get way)in class/private till you get it

Easiest teacher to learn Statistics from. Reason why it can be hard is b/c there's quite a bit of formulas to memorize. Attendance is a must b/c his AQs and lectures are REALLY helpful.

Prof Yoo is funny, straight-forward, and very smart. He teaches very clearly, and lets you know exactly what you will be tested on. He will go over any homework problems on the board during class and seems to be reasonable when it comes to grading tests. I would take him again if I had the chance, and highly recommend him to others. Take good notes

Dr. Yoo is funny, smart. he's sarcastic at times, but he means well. attendance, staying the whole class period will get you extra points. Dr. Yoo does take questions after class, and the attendance quiz he gives will be on the test , so make sure you study those. all and all he is a fair guy.

I took him for every math classes i need to graduate from 161 all the way to 171. He knows how to teach, very approachable, funny, a bit sarcastic. HIS ENGLISH is clear. curved the grade most of the time towards the end. TAKE HIM! i recommend him 1000000/10

Dr Yun S Yoo is great teacher. He is very intelligent and can help you if you want the help.

Dr. Yoo is a great professor. He teaches Stat in a manner that almost anyone can comprehend. If you have to take MATH 251, he is the one to take. He uses examples from his attendance quizes on the exams (however the numbers will be changed). He also gives one extra credit assignment. He made a difficult subject manageable.

He's a awesome teacher. Take notes and study. Funny and great personality. His quizzes are easy. Exams and tests are ok.

Yoo Yun was an awesome professor. Best math teacher I've ever had. I learned soo much from him. This was my second time taking this course at CCP the first time was a disaster with a different professor who was very rude and so hard to understand, which most 017 teachers are. I highly recommend him to people who struggle with math he is great.

Prof. Yun Yoo is a good teacher. His online class is very easy to follow. I haven't taken math in over 25 years and I found that this class made things easy for me. Prior to taking this course I took an online math class and I had to drop it, it was too difficult. Prof. Yun Yoo has an excellent approach and is prompt to help you if you need it.

Prof. Yoo is a great teacher. He is very direct. He will spend the time to explain if you don't understand. He's also very goofy so his class can be fun. No tricks here. Very, very good teacher - explanations are clear and he is willing to describe the same concept in different ways to help students understand. He's also really funny. Stats is a tough class with any professor, but he makes it as clear-cut as possible. Tests are tough but fair. Offers extra credit in the form of VERY time-consuming online homework.

Mr. Yoo provided detailed explanations of what he wanted. The homework is worth 49% of your grade and you can redo the questions many times to get the right answer. Watching the assigned videos should be enough to get you by but he made it very clear that he would help if needed. The content wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. 3 tests and a final

even though i took mr yoo class online he is a great teacher he gives adequate homework as well as quizzes and tests!!!!! highly recommend taking his classes i would deff take him again

Although Yun Yoo curved ball students with questions on tests, which were not on attendence quizzes, Yun Yoo is a humorous, awesome Korean professor, who wants students to learn and succeed. Interestingly, Yun Yoo considered me to be one of his favorite students in class, because I worked my posterity off. Overall, it was enjoyable to take Yun Yoo.

He makes learning binary mathematics a piece of cake! He uses his own way of understanding the subject to teach his students. Missing class is not an option since different topics are discussed each day. Has Attendance "Quizzes" instead of taking roll to ensure you understand what's been discussed for the day and are caught up.

Yun Yoo is great, study all his attendance quizzes that he gives at the beginning of each class, which are not graded, you will pass with an easy "A". He gives the answers to the attendance quizzes afterwards. Do homework, take good notes, do quizzes, you will pass. Overall, I got an "A" and my first day i wanted to drop the class.

Very fun, this man. Jokes along w. teaching statistics while remaining on the topic of statistics. He's into simple humor! Doesn't check homework but you should do for practice. Was nice enough to work out of 2 diff. edition books for homework to accommodate the students' needs. Gives attendance quizzes so come to class and stay until the end!

I took statistics online. It was a very difficult subject. I did not get to meet The professor personally, but he seems like a nice guy.

This man is the greatest math teacher I have ever had. He is hilarious, his lectures are easy to understand and he is a tough grader. Homework is not counted as a grade but it helps a lot to do them! Not doing them would mean falling behind and trust me, it's easy to fall behind so make sure to keep up!

Hardest, most stressful and time consuming online class to date. The homework would literally take me a total of 8 hours to do. Sometimes longer. Take him in person i heard that's Way better. Good luck.

Dr. Yoo is a good professor and knows his stuff. He is pretty good with breaking down the problems and concept, not that great at answering questions. Only grades off of 3 tests and the final. He has no time for extra credit. does assign hw but it doesn't count toward your grade. Dr. Yoo is also pretty funny. Review quiz in every class.

This class is what it is regardless of who's teaching. Not an online course you can google or quizlet ur way out of. Make sure you have the time to put into it. Tests are made up of homework questions and you have 3 chances to take each test even final. Highest grade is kept. Straight forward grading criteria;lots of homework but it will help grade

He is a great teacher in Math department. He helps students to build a good foundation in Math. He solves any problems by steps until the students understand. Homework is not counting on the grade. However, if you don't do it and practice the problems at home, you are going to fail the class.

Professor Yoo is awesome. He is funny and explains math better than any teacher I've had in college and high school. He makes things very clear. The exams are the only grades in the class, but they aren't too hard. It's an easy class, but you still have to pay attention and study for the exams. I know plenty of people who did bad from not studying.

I took Professor Yun Yoo's asynchronous MATH 162 course during the spring semester of 2023. All resources were provided online. Although the material was challenging, Professor Yoo extended grace to me several times throughout this semester with due date extensions. I did have the help of a great tutor throughout this semester.
