The worst math professor ever, this guy explain the hardest step in an exercise. He os sucks.

This guy confuses you. He makes everything so hard and he makes you hate math! He is the worst!! He write a whole bunch of stuff and you just sit and copy and he talks non-stop which doesn't even help. And, I don't think he's straight.

He wasn't helpful at ALL. His handwriting was so small that you can barely see what he writes on the board. He talks too soft, he doesn't go by the book. He uses his own example which was a lot more confusing. I don't recommend anybody to take his class (ESPECIALLY if you are a slow learner). He's a nice guy but I don't think he cares if you drop o

He is one of the worst professor in QCC. He's smart but he can't teach. I dropped my class in the summer because I couldn't understand a single thing he was teaching.

worst teacher ever. I took him for the summer semester. He has an accent so it hard to understand what he is saying. Does not give extra credit at all. He goes fast in his teaching. He uses the text book for his lesson throughout class. He takes forever in grading his test. He doesn't give any review sheets.

Worst professor at QCC. He is boring and he moves too fast. In 1 day he jumped three chapters. Plus all he lectures from the homework we do. He gives very hard tests and he does not help at all.

RUNNN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!! Gives homework on this weird server that marks you wrong even if right. Solves the simplest problems in the most complex way. Most of class dropped before semester over. Also tests have absolutely nothing to do with hw assignments.

This is one of the worst Professors I have ever had in my college career. He is unclear and is very monotone and can not hear what he is saying most of the time. He solves the most simplest problems with the most complex way possible that I could not understand. He is the WORST!!!!!

Dr. Gurtas is this child like man who intends on taking his frustration out on his students. His bald head shines in the morning.

He makes many mistakes and does not provide review sheet , test questions are not similar as class notes ,alot of online hw, DO NOT waste ur time by taking him

He gives online homework. And always put out the hardest questions on the test. Although similiar homework questions are on the test, he tells us to skip questions we dont understand but when he do those are the same ones on the test. Just dont take him if you arent good at math.

He doesnt know what he teaches half the time. He doesnt teach the class he teaches himself half the time he doesnt know what he teaches also I left that class not knowing anything half the class failed

His class has a project & website (which he barely knows how to operate) with homework for each section of each chapter & there were questions he didnt know the solution and suggested a tutor. speaks very softly,unclear criteria, lacks understanding. marks vaguely. half the class dropped him..a mess

He seems to know what he teaches he just doesn't know how to teach! He speaks very low whenever he's explaining something, I literally sat on the front and could not hear him. Ok RUN. Save yourselves. I am really good at math. Loved math all my life. He's the reason why I now KNOW I don't watch to major or minor in math. He's HORRIBLE at teaching, doesn't help you whatsoever...I regret taking his class with my whole SOUL. I've been reading, studying his notes, and DOING KHAN ACADEMY! I'm going to fail. First test 37.

This professor honestly shouldn't teach. The lecture consists of him talking to himself pretty much and you're expected to know it, understand it and answer questions. Make sure you upload the HW as docx files because if it doesn't load he WILL give you a zero with no second chances. You're better off going to tutoring as your source of learning.

This professor just reads off his notes. Assigned a 10 page paper and gave no instructions on how to do it and didnt even post a due date. If you have questions he doesnt answer his email and if he does he takes a while to. He also takes a while to grade tests. Theres 2 weeks left of the semester and test 1 grades arent even uploaded.

If you enjoy sleeping, take this professor--he has the most monotone voice and will put you to sleep. He take forever to grade things, blows at teaching, and assigns a metric ton of hw.

Dont take him. Its literally a week before the semester ends and none of us know our grades or how were doing. He doesnt answer his emails so if you need help you gotta find another way.

Honestly one of the worst professors at Queensborough. Seriously. He just goes on in the lecture till you get lost and never replies back your email. He doesn't even let you know about your grade till the end of the semester. He starts getting angry at students for not doing their best when literally everyone does try their best in his class.

1st week of a winter 4 week course ( all assignments are multiple questions) 12 hws 4 quizzes and a test? Its a certain kind of weird thatll make you work this hard for a 3 credit level 100 class at a community college.

I am really good at math every math class which i got all A even thought math 443 451. in first test i got 93 and the second test 63 and thirsty test only 20 which average grade of the courses is 20 . he never test what he teaches . the semester is almost finished and we still have a extra test 4 and finals .

Worst teacher ever i met in my life.

Barely gives credit when you show work on test &also a creep when it comes 2 girls. is a very strict professor, i'll NEVER take his class again. was in his class &many people have dropped his class due to his poor teaching style. makes mistakes while he's teaching so he doesn't even know wut he's doing himself which is just so sad.I DONT RECCOMEND!

He understands math well but he doesn't know how to teach it in my opinion. The test questions never match the homework he assigns which is frustrating.

In short term, don't take this class. Why he is professor because professor attitude should be respective and supportive with student. But this professor -100/10 he is no good please don't go for it make sure take other professor.

Do not take this professor. If you love falling asleep then take this course because the way he speaks will put you to sleep. He takes forever to grade the tests. His over all teaching method is not that good at all.

Take another professor if possible. If you MUST take Dr. Gurtas, decide to withdraw after first test. By then, you know his style. What to know: 1. No rewards for effort/participation. 2. Very tough test grader. 3. Tests are very, very difficult. Many students can not finish in time. Demands mastery of the subject.

He's knowledgeable but doesn't know how to teach that knowledge. Classes are extremely boring as it's lecture heavy. Also, the lectures feels rush even though he claims to be behind in class. He assigns a TON of hw so be prepared to learn through hw videos. He's passive aggressive and goes over class time, takes picture of the class as attendance.

Yusuf Gurtas knows his stuff and is very intelligent, but the way he lectures isn't the best. He cares but not as much as students need. He helps if you ask, but often seems rushed and expects you to figure things out on your own. Quizzes were every day, and I definitely won't take him again.

This professor is so tough. Very hard to understands his lecture.
