I strongly disagree with the other raters. She provides you with notes so you can listen instead of write. She's willing to work with you if you communicate with her. I never was good at math and I found out from this class that I am good. I would definitely take her again and recommend her to others.

She rocks. I was never good in math and I thought I was going to fail the class since I didn't pass the first test, but I ended up passing with a B. She's great. Some people don't like her because she's strict and doesn't put up with the slackers in class. She'll make you work, but you'll learn. Would definitely take her again.

She is one of my favorite teachers. I was never good in math, but after taking her class I was very good at it. besides being a great teacher, she understands her students. I love how she printed notes for everyone. If you want to get a good grade in math I suggest you take Uresti. Plus she is very funny

I had her in a lab class, never went to lab and made an A in her class. She's helpful on tests if you forget a step or you got the wrong answer. I missed three-four classes, she doesn't really care as long as you understand what she taught. If you don't, she's always there to help. Her handouts are very clear and her reviews are awesome.

Shes tough but is willing to help you. If it's been a while since you've had math get ready for a lot of catching up. I like that she's always wanting to help you.

She is a good teacher and I learned alot from her class in fact I have signed up with taking another class from her next semester. Just do your work, ask for help when needed and show up to lab and you will be fine. The people that fail her class are slackers.

i truely love this teacher! she was awesome at helping me understand my work. shes real easy & understanding when it comes to tests. she'll even walk around the room and answer questions if you have any during tests and exams! and before you turn it in, she looks over it and tells you if you need to go back & fix something! just do your homework!

Eventhough this class was hard, I really enjoyed it. She is always willing to help you. Don't miss too much class and if you do make sure you go to her office for tutoring. Make sure you do the homework and turn it in on time. She wants you to show your work and not just write the answer, so be careful with that on homework and exams.

she is an easy teacher she only gives 3 to 8 home work problems and students still cant do that she doesnt expect much only that u do your part she looks over your test and gives you the chance to fix a careless mistake come on guys this is easy and yes she expects you to know stuff from your previous class but all teachers expect that!!!

shes a nice teacher, she is REALLY hard..at least for me because i'm really slow lol but shes awesome. she was very helpful. just attend her classes so you don't miss her quizzes. also quizzes are VERY easy! take her class if you actually want to learn something.

She is a really straight forward math teacher, she goes through each step, even if you know, it just to help everybody. She knows her stuff and can be cool at times. I didn't like how most people expected to pass after not trying. Pay here a visit if you need help. She practically begs you to come see her! And she's as Star Wars fan. COME ON!

This is the third time I take Yvette and she is awesome. I've never been good at math and she helped me really understand. If you don't understand you need to ask. She is always available. She even came in on Saturday to help us.

Attendance is mandatory and she really encourages the mandatory lab minutes. If you are there and go to the lab more than is required it doesn't go unnoticed. She is really straight forward, and does not play around. You are held accountable for everything,this wasn't any easy class but she is a great teacher and helps when you ask.

This class was so easy. Yes, she expects you to be on time and do your work, but she only gives 5-10 problems for homework. When I didn't understand I'd go see her for tutoring. She helped me a lot outside of class. I'm taking her again for Algebra.

She was very helpful with the power point slides available before class online. She was always available for one on one tutoring and office hours. I went for tutoring every week and she never complained. She gives you a pat on the back when you improve and as long as you show you try she will help you.

She can be a good teacher, just not a very personal one. There's homework every day but not a lot. There's exams every few weeks that comes with a review, but when it comes to going over material she can be vague, plus she speaks in a loud voice even if it's one on one. It also seems as if she has favorites and is extremely picky on grading.

Only take this professor if you are at least decent with math. Her slideshows were helpul but she talks so loud as if she's constantly yelling. If math is your weak subject, this may not be the instructor for you. She teaches fast-paced. Do NOT skip or you fall behind easily. Quizzes almost every other class. She speaks loudly in class- even if it's 1x1. She's young, sometimes even funny, knows her subject well, but she can come off as slightly rude or sarcastic.

If you are lazy, messy, and sensitive don't take her, but if you really want to learn and you really come to school to study instead of jumping around and looking for excuses to accept you are a moron,then take her, you will not regret at all.

Uresti is an excellent teacher. I dreaded math, but she was very helpful. She can be strict, but as long as you pay attention & attempt to do the work, she's pretty laid back. There is homework almost everyday, a couple quizzes & tests, but as long as you stay on top of things its a great class.

Was a good instructor. She balances between being hard on the things she needs to be hard with along with being easy going when she needs to be easy going. She is a very approachable person and will respond to your questions when you ask them. I would recommend this instructor to anyone especially if you havent had math in years.

Very structured took her For flex 1 0303 and flex 2 1314, wasn't that hard all you have to do is keep up with your hw which you recieve everyday. Only negative thing i could say about her is that she greades your hw really harsh! but great teacher i highly recommend her!

This is the best math class I've ever taken. Uresti is super awesome at explaining the material and unlike other math profs I've had, she doesn't make you feel dumb if you don't get the content right away. There is lots of homework both online and handwritten.

It's an online class, so you're in charge of getting it done, but Ms. Uresti goes the extra mile to remind you what's going on with weekly emails. If you reach out for help, she's definitely there, but she doesn't accept late work and is upfront that you'll have to do your work in order to pass. You'll need to be comfortable with MyMathLab.

This is probably the best online teacher I've ever had. She was always available and sending reminders about assignments. She is really tough with her criteria (and if the criteria are not followed you will be dropped) but is a genuinely caring teacher. I feel like this was the king of teacher I needed to make sure I actually learned the material.

Just finished an online semester and Uresti rocks!! Totally there whenever you need help and she fully explains the expectations for the class. You will work for an A but if you do the homework and put the time in it is achievable. Easily my favorite math prof to date. Would take her class again given the opportunity.

Took her for pre-calc online and learned alot. She gives out good chunks of homework that are usually examples on the next test so make sure you do them. She replied to my emails whenever there was a problem. A tough grader but as long you applied yourself to your notes and HW you'll do fine. Has binder checks to make sure you're on track.

I'm so happy I passed this class with a B. Hardest class I took. Yes she is strict, but I learned a lot. She always helped me after class. If you really want to learn and be ready for the next class take her. But sit at a good table. The other people in my group didn't like her because they were not passing but they didn't work as hard.

I feel that many people misjudge Mrs. Uresti. I have taken her for every needed math course so far (3 To date) and she has always been helpful and available both online and in class. Ms Uresti is a teacher whos goal is to prepare you for mathematics intensive courses. She takes the course very seriously, but she does truly care for her students. Her method of teaching is optimal. She does examples step by step and methodically and asks if you have any questions. You will have to work hard, but if you do, youll be prepared.

Great professor with organized and clear lesson plan. Clear and simple, to succeed in this class you have to stay up-to-date and put effort into learning the material not just to pass the class, but in preparation for Calculus. The professor gives good feedback and is very responsive to questions. If you don't do the work, you won't succeed.

She was approachable, every section she would generate information that was important with example problems. Those notes are perfect for study and i have even kept them for future reference. She was willing to make extra time to cover trouble sections and even accommodated minor schedule issues for turn in work, just be proactive. Great Teacher.

I travel all the time for work and can only take online courses. Yes there's a lot of videos but its needed for the amount of material and difficulty. This was the hardest class I've had, but I put in the time and work and passed with an A. She unlocked all our quizzes and one test if we wanted to fix. She is very helpful and understanding.

She was very helpful and understanding. It helped that she provided the recordings of the lecture notes ahead of time and worked out problems from the actual online HW in the Zoom class meetings which were the same problems on the quizzes and exams. She went above and beyond to help you like extending deadlines but you had to let her know.

I work and have kids. Took her for both 1414 and 2412 online and got an A in both classes. She is very nice and helpful. Precal was a lot harder than college algebra but the videos and notes help a lot. You have to show all your work for exams. She is very nice and helpful. When you need help, email her right away.

The best teacher I've ever had. She's very specific in her lectures. Prerecords lectures for students which are helpful especially now with covid. This is a hard course, but I don't agree with some of the other raters. I learned a lot from her videos. Yes, they are long, but that's because she completes different examples. You can always fast forward. She was always available to help me even in the evenings and on the weekends.

I highly recommend watching every minute because she breaks down every problem and always brings up her provided notes so you can understand what's on them. Mrs. U gives Long Hw assignments with students notes and videos use those Online class, so we had a weekly discussion for a grade do those the textbook was included in class our HW was on MyMathLab which I found dumb sometimes it was very picky. give yourself time to study materials for test there are 4 including final go to tutoring

Every time I needed more time on the homework she extended it for me. And every time I needed tutoring she was there. Please don't listen to these other ratings, they just didn't do their work.

She was helpful when it comes to going over answers I got wrong on an exam. She gave chances to improve the grade. She responded to emails. She gave us group pop quizzes which helped us prepare for the exams. You could tell that she really wanted to do well in her class. I thought she was a good professor, and I would take her class again.

If you have additional questions after the lecture, she is available to help you better understand the material. She is also very accommodating if you have issues when completing online assignments.
