She was AMAZING. A total goddess - she rocks! She was so nice and did everything she could to make class easy on the students. Tests were all take-homes. She was great - I highly reccommend her. The only thing she is picky about is attendence. But hey- getting there is the easy part.

Wow, what can I say! I loved her, she gave take-home tests; she didn't rely on the textbook but rather the supplements which were great picks and very interesting. She started great discussions in class...oh, and she brought candy! She's open-minded, fun, kind, and very witty which had my sides hurting I laughed so much. All I can say is, awesome!

Overall a good teacher, she really knows her stuff. Don't think you can skip this class regularly, she's not lenient on the attendance policy. Do expect to be constantly bombarded by her political agenda.

She is a great instutor and loves history (almost too much) but she is strict on papers and she will embarrass you if you walk into class late. She is strict on students being in class, but overall I would recommend her to anyone!

Miss Darcy is an excellent educator. She is passionate about the material and gets the class excited about it too. Anyone who does not get a good grade in her class is not trying. She is not hard at all, but you have to put in the effort and engage in learning (the purpose of taking classes at all!) She is one of the best!

Yvonne is very passionate about teaching and sharing her knowledge makes her class very insteresting and informing. I agree with her with cell phones being annoying, so don't bother using it--it annoys us all. Go to class and it's not social hour in her class. She keeps the class insteresting and wants students to SUCCEED!!!

One of the best history teachers I have ever had. She may be random, but as long as you have the notes she provides, it's really easy to follow. She is a very caring person. On finals day I was in the ER and she accepted my final anyway. I highly recommend this professor because she makes learning history fun and easy.

Yvonne is an awesome teacher. She goes off her notes, so don't bother with wasting your money on a textbook---so, go to the library when you do your essays. If you like Stephen Andrews you'll also like Miss Darcy. They are both passsionate about there jobs but Andrews is like the little devil on your shoulder and Darcy is like the angel. Very honest and kind and an easy class. She is a great teacher!

I enjoyed all her classes with the exception of the first one ~ she goes a little overboard on her likes/dislikes. If you participate - go to at least 95% of classes - show some interest (and even if you don't at first, you will, you will!), you will come out with an A. Passionate, especially about social justice, the military, and women/children. Can go on rambling anecdotal tangents, but always returns to the topic. Gives good facts and always cites her sources so you can do further reading if you desire. Obviously loves teaching. Very accommodating of special circumstances IF you have a good documented reason.

I am about to start my masters program and she is still one of my favorite professors of all time. In fact, she was one of my references when I applied to the graduate program I chose. Any time you have the opportunity to take a class from this professor do so. You will not be sorry. Actually, you might enjoy it.

I HATE history but her history class was definitely my favorite! She let's you relate the past to your experiences today & is funny. It's not a super easy class but if you do the work you'll pass with flying colors. Fiesty but kind hearted Hope to have her again soon!

She frequently goes on tangents, and while they are very amusing, they're frequently unrelated to the topic. I have failed NM Hist 3 times before and I am passing her class with a 103% She makes the material easily to learn and types out her lecture notes so you don't have to spend the entire class taking notes, she gives you two weeks to do your exams and does everything she can to help you succeed.

Dr. Darcy is a VERY passionate professor. This woman is smart and takes her job very seriously. Don't take her if you think that not showing up to class and late homework is acceptable. she sets very clear expectations and stands by them. She keeps the class entertained and the homework is not difficult with plenty time for take-home exams.

Yvonne believes the classroom is a place of open discussion, with respect. She knows her stuff and relies heavily on lecture notes, which she hands out in class. If you can do a little research and write clearly, you will pass this class and have a fun time in it. Will take more classes with her, audited because I previously have the credits.

Dr. Darcy is a real pro. she engages and ignites history. She spouts out dates a details most professors wouldn't think to mention. I love her passion and her professional demeanor. What a lady. All exams are papers and you get to choose from a list of topics. She is a nut and its AWESOME! She makes history so interesting. Such a scholarly and knowledgeable woman. Every lecture is basically an open discussion and she gives you a outline before each one to follow along and take notes. She rocks and I recommended her class to EVERYONE!

Yvonne was hilarious! She makes lectures interesting and she loves to interact with her students. Lecture notes were given out and she covers them completely. Tests were long and written but easily passable.

Miss Darcy is quite outgoing and helps students open up to talking about what they think about each question that is being posed from any and every angle possible. No one student's opinion is greater then another and it provides an open mindset and approach to this class which I liked a lot. Be prepared to write quite a few essays.

Ms Darcy is so caring and kind, genuinely values all of her students and tries to make the classroom a respectful & safe place. She is also an excellent professor. Lectures can be all over the place so your taste may vary, but I loved how she combined history with current events- the lectures are basically open discussions about the world!

Drove to campus across town to take the US Hist II with her after such a great experience and learning so much in US Hist I. The 2.75 hr class passes quickly and with great learning and ease. She is so knowledgeable and makes it easy to learn.

Miss Darcy is by far the most amazing teacher Ive experienced at CNM. Her lectures are a blast! Shes so passionate for students to learn and to teach. Shes very forgiving and understanding if there is good reason. She gives tests but so much easier than other classes. They are take home tests that you get to choose what intrigues you the most.

Dr. Darcy spent a lot of time talking about how awful white men are. But she knows a lot and her class is interesting. There are 4 papers throughout the semester, each is roughly 5 pages long. Make sure to come to class on time and turn in your papers on time. Also no cell phones or laptops out in class! She does not like that.

Very easy class. She has you write a couple essays, but that's it. Just don't procrastinate and you'll be fine. She's very well educated, and fantastic with engaging her students in the lectures. She's funny too, so you'll be inclined to listen to her the whole time. She is also very sweet. Very recommended.

Ms. Darcy is such an amazing teacher. I took her for Survey of New Mexico History and this class is lecture based. She is kind enough and provides written lectures and you just have pay attention. There is 4 take home exams and 4 mandatory lectures, you just have to show up to class and be signed in to receive full credit. Amazing teacher!

For the first take home exam, didn't know what to expect, and failed it. After that, though, it was smooth sailing. Just listen to the instructions on exams and you should be a-ok!
