I took BULE 302 in the Summer. She knows her stuff. She goes down the roster to question people during class--if you do the reading you will be prepared. Attendance counts toward your grade. The summer tests were not terribly difficult.

Tests are all essay, easy and straight-forward questions. Definatley recommend her!

Demory is a good teacher. She really isn't there to be ur friend,but as long as u read every chapter (which I would cram the night b4 the exam),come to every class prepared (she lets u know in advance who she will call on next class) you can get an A like I did.I heard worse about other professors.

There's no reason to go to class, and she knows that so she takes attendance randomly.AND she also makes everyone participate by answering q's in the book or hypothetical q that she made up. Just go to class, I got a C on every test, but went to every class and got all the participation points and ended up with a B. Not as bad as people make her out to be, definitely better than other BULE 302 teachers.

As mentioned, the participation criteria is nonesense...tests are quite simple, 30-true false 30 multiple choice-each test.

She takes attendance and counts it towards participation points! That was the only downside. However she let you know in advanced when you were going to be called on for in class participation points. Overall she's okay. I got a B.

As long as you do the work you'll do fine and the only work is to read the book. We are in college right? She calls on you but you know what day it will be and as long as you read you should know the answer. Shes a little lenient too so if you explain the best you can she gives you the points anyway. And the tests don't get much more straighfoward

This class is so easy... I didn't even need to take the final because she drops one of the exams. Seriously, just read the chapters and study the keywords for the exam. The case discussion isn't that bad either. And show up for class every time.

Professor Demory Rocks!!! She is a good professor that brings prior experience of being a Lawyer to the table. Go to class, read your chapters, apply concepts, and you will be fine. At first I struggled, but after I just started reading the chapters even a day before exams...I did great. She is awesome and totally teaches in a way everyone will get it. Pretty laid back class. 4 exams-drops 1. Just read and definitely go to all classes you will do great!!!

Demory's lectures are a bit dull, but then again BULE is a dull topic. I don't know why others here thought she was hard, I got a B and I hardly tried at all. There's a participation grade (20% of final grade) and that means you have to come to class most of the time (but not all). Drops 1 exam too.

Class is not easy, but it is very interesting, time flies! Prof explains the concepts well! I didn't know much about Business Law and this class taught me a lot! She is really good at lecturing. It is not an easy class, you must read the book to get through. The content is interesting though. She does come off as a little cold but as long as you read the book and attend class you will be fine.

I liked her. She wasn't nice or very approachable, but during the participation and when you ask questions she actually challenges you by asking "what if..." In my opinion, that's what makes a good teacher. An 'A' is very doable and if you speak up, prepare to be challenged ;)

She isn't psychotic about participation points. You just have to speak twice during the semester, so you don't necessarily have to go to class. But I'd suggest reading the book and buying the study guide book if you don't want to go to class.

She's a great law professor to those who try to learn, the worst for the slackers. Let's not blame the professor for not giving out easy As. She's good at what she does (teaching) but doesn't seem to care much for her students. I was one of her top students, and I bet she doesn't even know my name.

I do NOT know why many students think this class is boring and the Pro is horrible. Actually, I like this class and the Pro. I learned a lot in business law. Besides, the class participation is not that terrible, because she will follow a specific order, which you will know where you will be called to answer questions, in fact. JUST READ THE BOOK!!

After reading these ratings, I was almost scared to enroll in this class. But, I am very glad that I took it with Demory. She makes the class interesting. Although she can be a bit boring at times, she is fair. She does not allow electronic devices in class, so don't bother. Overall, very straightforward. Her exams (you drop the lowest exam) come mostly from the book, but some of it is from her lecture. I would definitely take another class from her. Not a cakewalk, but I've had MUCH worse.

She said she did us a favor by using a cheaper textbook that was out of print, but you end up losing more money because you can't resell it for $5.

Not sure why Demory's ratings aren't better. It's a 300-level course, so it takes effort to get an A, but it's not hard. Outlining the chapters is the best way to study. Prepare summaries of cases for class participation and don't wait until the end of the cycle to go. Buy the studyguide, it helps a lot for exams.

GO TO CLASS! She tells you what NOT to do in the exams and walk you through examples (same format in exam). Bring lots of real world experiences into lecture. She is very knowledgeable and will give you good advice on her exams. 5 exams + 2 participation opportunities (worth 1 exam), drop the lowest one. You have to read the book, take good notes, and study IN ADVANCE. I can't even emphasize this enough. Do not wait until the day before to start skimming through slides and book.

This was a very easy class. Her grading system was very very generous. She drops an exam grade and replaces it with class participation, which consists of explaining a case for a couple minutes twice a semester. She will provide you with numerous chances for extra credit. One tip, volunteer for participation as early as possible.

Lowest grade on the scantron and lowest grade on the essay (even if they aren't from the same exam) gets dropped. Plus, she grades quickly. I took her class online (MGMT 431) and it was real easy. There were 9 essays that had a 30 minute time limit and 2 movie discussion questions that also had a time limit of one hour. Watch and listen to her lectures, read the book, and be prepared to write because there is a time limit for all the assignments! I worked full time and still passed!

Prof. Demory's online class, I am not sure about in person, was very, very well put together. It's very straight-forward; listen to each lecture, then when it comes time for the essay for the week (there are 9 essays in total, you can drop 2) have the slides available so you can reference the case. She really does try to assist you to get an A

Very straightforward. 9 essays and the lowest two get dropped. Basically each week's module will range from reading 1-3 chapters and her supplemental online lectures. Then the essay question will give you a scenario and you must apply material from the book and lectures to determine the outcome, which includes other courts cases and various laws.

There are 5 MC/TF exams and 1 essay question. No homework. You can get up to 20 points extra credit if you participate in class by presenting a case. Highly suggested. How to do well in class: pay attention during lecture and take good notes, understand the cases, BUY THE STUDY GUIDE, present the cases for extra credit. Your essay should refer to cases in the book to show you understand material. The teacher is very clear about what she expects. Yes, the subject material is dry but you have to push through it.

There are 3 exams which consist of multiple choice test portion and essay portion. She drops your lowest essay score and lowest test score. Textbook is CRUCIAL to passing this class. The online lectures are helpful, but studying the textbook will be your life for this class. Definitely pay attention to the highlighted cases in the lecture slides

To be honest, this professor was SO ORGANIZED and got in-class assignments and exams graded really fast. She was very structured and let us know before each exam what was to be expected. Her slides aren't the most informative though; I would recommend purchasing MindTap (SO HELPFUL). I got above 90's on all 4 exams (she drops one so only 3 count).

Took her for BULE 301 and decided to take her again for MGMT 431. Great class, very organized. She gives extra credit and drops the lowest grade. For 431, I recommend taking notes on specific vocabulary she uses about the cases so you can drop them in your essay. She takes off points if you don't hit the right keywords.

There are in-class assignments and class participation assignments. Both you can use your written notes and work with someone for the class participation. Scoring 100 points on class participation(very easy to do) will allow you to drop your lowest test score. Tests are very fair and graded quickly. Clear expectations. Highly recommend taking

Professor Demory is an amazing professor!! Took her for BULE 303 and MGMT 431. Makes you work for it but if you come to class and take good notes you'll get atleast a C!! Take her!!

This is my second time taking Prof. Demory, and again, it was an enjoyable experience. If you have to take MGMT431, I suggest taking it during the summer. The expectations are clear, the essay questions are clear, and so as long as you're doing your reading and learning the material, you will get an A. I wish Prof. Demory taught more classes.

I heard that BULE was hard, but it wasn't that bad with Demory in the summer. She is great. Long tests but OK. She drops the lowest exam grade if you get at least 100pts (easy) on class participation assignments. With writing assignments, you can easily ace it or screw up. Make sure you use a COURT CASE and the right law/rule. Great lectures.

If you fail or have failed this class, it is 100% your fault. This professor gives you all the tools to pass. BULE 303 is supposed to be one of the hardest classes and she managed to make it seem not as hard. There is alot of note taking, reading and homework assignments. There are 5 exams including a final and 4 writing assignments and class assignments. She literally makes it easy for you if you go to class and listen. Definitely would recommend!

Take it ONLINE! Follow the instruction, do all the hw, quizzes, lower grade is dropped. Read and keep up with due dates. Mention cases when writing. You will do good and pass if you follow the syllabus and turn in hw, I promise you will pass successfully! The hardest part was the on-campus essays exams and it was not that bad either

I took BULE 303 online with her and she was great. The class was so easy. Exams were open notes (since they were online) and you're allowed to have a whole page of notes for the essays. Super easy class and she's wonderful.

She's fantastic. She has audio lectures on blackboard which are really helpful. Just take good notes and you'll be solid. The questions on the exams are not that difficult and if you pay attention you will know exactly what prompt you will get for the writing assignment. I highly recommend taking her for BULE 303.

Okay so you need to follow her syllabus to the T. Before submitting each Discussion Board, make sure you're following the rubric. She is a good professor but is strict. Not a hard grader and the material isn't hard. She drops the lowest test and essay score. An A is doable and I would've gotten it if I hadn't messed up on the DB.

I've taken this professor twice, and both times I've learned a ton about business law. Most students complain about her essays, but they are all open-note and she painstakingly tells you exactly what she wants in them. It's not the easiest A to earn, but you'll actually learn something about business law as long as you put in some effort.

BULE 303 is a pretty boring class if you are not into law but Professor Demory made it somewhat interesting. I really appreciated how organized her class was and how much extra credit she offered. Make sure to show up to class and take good notes. I recommend taking her for BULE 303.

Her online class was set up well. The writing assignments were not that bad as long as you read the material and follow her guidelines regarding plagiarism. Offers multiple extra credit opportunities. The class is pretty manageable as long as you read the textbook and take notes.

She designed the course for you to be successful. Do the assigned readings, attend lectures, do all the class participation. If you just that, you will get A. The class participation is pretty much a preview of writing assignments.

Definitely a rude person, personality wise. But I believe the academic work is fair for the most part. If you take goods notes from the book and class, you should pass w/ no problems. Writing assignments and class participation are based on class material, tests are book heavy. Drops lowest test and wa grade, closed book exams.

After her first assignment, I said I was going to bomb her rate my professor. However, after I finished the class, I cant help but feel satisfied with the work I put in, and the result I received. She is trying to help, although she doesnt hold your hand, she guides you to figure out how to succeed and understand the class. I genuinely recommend.

Great professor! Homework and quizzes are easy and have multiple attempts. If you read and follow the writing assignment instructions correctly, you will make A's on all like I did. Very organized course, and assignments were not too hard. You will do well if you follow and read ALL instructions for the writing assignments. Remember the case verdicts mentioned in the lectures for tests. Study previous quizzes and homework because the questions will show up again in tests.

theres a case study u have to write/analyze why the final decision was made. as long as u follow instructions u should get full points (bonus points if u do it early in the semester). the online assignments are easy as long as u read the textbook. tests are on lockdown and 30 minutes, which is a little tight but if u kinda get the material ur good

She was a great professor when it came to teaching the material in the lectures. If you go to class and follow her instructions, you'll do well.

the reviews here got me scared until i took her class, she's OK. I took this class online. Like most sch of business professors, she just makes the class unnecessarily stressful. you really have to study and READ instructions for writing assignments on DB and you should be ok. you get extra credit if you reply to more than 2 DB post form your mates

She can be a tough grader but her assignments were pretty easy. Make sure to do the written assignments early and good as she states in the beginning of the course. For me learning about business law and doing the case studies were fun. Would take again.

She can be tough sometimes but if you stick exactly to her grading rubric, you will get an easy A. She is VERY generous in giving extra credit and an easy grader. 4 papers in format of short discussions and 4 exams (lowest of both will be dropped) make up almost the entire class. If you do a little bit of reading every week, you should do great.

The class was a bit hard and was reading heavy but honestly the professor is such a sweetheart she really does do her best for students to pass and learn the most out of the class. Getting a good grade in this class is definitely doable with a little bit of effort just pay attention in class and ATTEND class!

She is very serious about her job but I also learned a lot from her because of it. Honestly, she tells you almost exactly what you need to do and know for every test and assignment, so as long as you listen and actually take notes, you'll be fine. The only people who do bad are probably the ones that don't do any work.

Her lectures helped me to understand the course content significantly, so I'd say even though attendance is not mandatory, it is recommended. Tips: Write detailed notes and notes on cases. Weekly case reviews and quizzes/test are open note so TAKE NOTES. it is alot easier to answer questions when you have well written notes. Don't get down if you fail the first case review just learn from her comments. Before all case reviews, review and write notes about the case! EVERY SLIDE matters.

Overhated imo. I found her online class perfectly reasonable. Five open note tests but drops the lowest score, and very well-organized. Yvonne communicated well throughout the course, and put great effort into weekly emails/progress reports, which was so helpful to keep track. You'll do great as long as you read/ take good notes!

Was really worried about taking her class due to the reviews, but honestly she wasn't bad at all. Definitely take her online bc I felt that it was so much easier. She gives extra credit and you get 2 attempts for all exams. Exams can be tough since it's 30 questions, 30 mins. Therefore, taking good notes is crucial.

Not sure how there are bad reviews for Professor Demory. If you complete the assignments, take good notes, and follow her instructions for the writing assignments, this class is peaches and cream. I would take her for every course if I could!

Class was cake for a legal class and she's very fair. Nothing to complain about here. Easily studiable!! I liked her a lot. Plagiarism policy was bootycheeks though so read that carefully

Professor Demory's class is manageable if you stay on top of the readings and take detailed notes. The exams can be tough, but using unstuckstudy AI and the practice tests helps a lot.

I was surprised by poor ratings for this instructor, I though she was great! Her instructions for writing assignments are long, but they were clear and detailed. If you can follow directions well, you will pass the class. Also, don't expect to slide through her class. I recommend putting at least 3-4 hrs a week aside to learning the materials.

Class was extremely easy. Reading material was directly related to quizzes and exams. Homework was simple if you actually read the material and listen to lectures. Writing assignment was tedious as there are several pages of guidelines for it.

Overall a really easy course; weekly hw and chapter quizzes. One harder (just apply yourself and you'll be fine-follow ALL directions she gives you) discussion post. She does give an opportunity to redo the discussion post for a better grade. Tests open note but only 30 mins m/c, same for final. HW/quizzes resources can be found online.

It was pretty intimidating class at first, but it gets very easy. She also provides so much extra credit, there is no way to fail this class.

I took the 5-week online summer course, and Prof. Demory's recorded lectures were a super helpful addition to the material! Quizzes every chapter (3 a week for summer), exams are open note with 2 attempts and lowest grade dropped. Lots of reading for the course, but very manageable if you plan your time well and review the HW/quizzes before exams!

A lot of people rated her low but I found her class fairly easy. Chat GPT got you on everything honest truth. Only hard thing you have to apply yourself to is the one writing assignment. If you follow the directions and submit on time you will be fine. I finished with 98 and she also offers extra credit.
