Love her. My favorite chemistry professor. Very straightforward and math oriented. Does not ask conceptual questions which i love. Explains material very well. very experienced. Take her you will do well.
Probably one of the better chem professors. Class is a killer but she is always available for outside help and I loved her enthusiasm.
Awesome teacher. Very helpful and does loads of examples.
The best chemistry professor I've ever had. Biophysical chemistry is not an easy class, but she made it very interesting. She explains everything very clearly and her notes are really helpful. She is extremely organized and helpful and really cares about her students. WISH I CAN TAKE HER FOR ALL of my chemistry classes :)
had her for chem 120 in the fall. she was the first of the three professors to teach it and im glad she taught the base of chemistry cuz the other 2 teachers were horrible. She mad it really easy to understand. This was my second time taking it, the first i got a D and now i have a B+ since i did the homework. first time i didnt.
I love Professor Gindt! Hilarious, very "evil" though. She's there for you and will be real with you. Very smart lady, she can lecture good and it's never really boring. Everything you need to pass is found by doing your homework! Best Professor thats taught me, trust me you won't be disappointed.
if you want to understand chemistry don't take gindt
Very thorough. Unlike most Chemistry teachers I've had Gindt was straightforward and managed to hold my interest. Her class is not easy unless you focus in class, take down her notes, and do the homework. She posts helpful practice exams online before every exam. She doesn't grade hw but do it because she's big on pop quizzes and hw makes them easy
Took Gindt for Gen. Chem 1 and 2, and she's been my favorite teacher so far. She's definitely the hardest Gen Chem. professor, but she's very thorough and involves everyone in her lectures. Her office hours are very open ( was basically there everytime I was free). You don't even need the textbook with her because of her detailed notes.
My level of interest in this class was 0% before i started. After having her as a professor, i can say however she has challenged me intellectually, and made me like this subject, or at least enjoy it while taking it. i never understood chemistry until i took this class. sounds weird but, i kind of looked forward into attending her lectures.
Gindt is my favorite professor so far. Super funny and lectures are interesting and engaging (but be prepared for pop quizzes). Her class is pretty tough and you really have to work if you want to pass, but she is an amazing teacher. One of the most caring people- she genuinely wants you to learn. Can't say enough great things about her.
Challenging class but she gives you so many resources, previous exams from other semesters, answer keys to homework and quizzes that really help you when studying. I never worked so hard towards a class, you must study or wont pass. Overall shes an amazing at what she does and very caring of her students!
Chem 120 will certainly be difficult, but with this professor it is brutal. She gives the impression that she is caring but will make you feel dumb and puts you down if you do not understand the material. She curves the exam grades which most professors do not do which is why she is liked by many.
Dr. Gindt really sets you up to succeed when taking her class. All you need to do is put in a good effort outside of class, and you will be rewarded with good grades. I would recommend this course to anyone who is determined to actually learn the material, and who understands that you can't pass a science class by just sitting through lectures.
Hardest professor in my life, if chemistry is not ur major don't take her. This is a good class for people who already know chemistry very well. I passeD chem in HS with an A BUT completely would have failed this class if I didn't withdrawal. All my friends did too and the few that did not passed with D's. Save your GPA people.
Dr. Gindt is an amazing teacher. SHe is a tough grader, but that toughness helps you in all your class. Be ready to study a lot. Take her especially if you're a chemistry/biochem major.
Prof. Gindt's class was definitely not easy. When I say you have to study, like you HAVE to STUDY. However, she's a very nice woman who cares a lot! If you put in the effort and talk to her, you will be fine. :)
She is not that difficult. Chemistry II isnt so simple but she makes this easier - her tests are based on in-class problems. She also does lots of demos. My problem was how things werent fully explained, but you could read the textbook or ask questions. I liked her
She was an amazing Professor. She can be tough at times but she is really caring and she is always available in her office for help. Be aware of pop quizzes and DO THE HOMEWORK.
Gindt is the type of professor who likes to challenge her students, but will do anything to help them succeed. As long as you go do the homework and go to her offic hours, you should be fine. Shes very funny, and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend her, especially for those who are chem/biochem majors!
1. GINDT IS A GEM. She's sarcastic & funny, always makes herself available to the student (review sessions/office hours). She might be intimidating at first but as long as you STUDY/ TEACH yourself, you'll be fine. 2. Her exams are a bit harder than other sections, but it's an advantage on the final. 3. Beware of pop quizzes - drops the lowest one.
She is the best. Take her. 3 exams, 12-13 quizzes, and a final. Homeworks are not graded.
I was failing this class.. she's an amazing professor. Hard class when you're not chem major but I really love this class and appreciate the subject. Read the book and do hw problems (there's a lot but do some). Take good notes! She's the best chem professor for this course
Dr. Gindt is a GEM. If you have the opportunity to take her, TAKE her. Yes her exams are hard but they're doable and no surprises. If you do the homework, study your lecture notes, and learn from your quizzes, there is NO REASON why you should fail her class. She really prepares you for the final and is so passionate that I'm happy to go to class.
She is a very nice professor and will encourage you to try harder. Chemistry is an overall very demanding course and its going to take work to understand and get the grade. There is no better way to get through it, Gindt is very caring and she will help you understand everything, you just need to be willing. AMAZING PROFESSOR!
She is an amazing professor. She is very helpful and cares a lot about her students. But in order for you to pass the class you need to put in the work so in other words do the homework. She gives 3 exam, a few pop quizzes, and the final. If you read the book, understand the material, and do the homework you'll pass.
She is an amazing professor, one of the best in the chem department. Her exams are hard but they will prepare you for the final, her class always preforms better than the other chem classes. If you do your homework and study, you'll pass. Gives 3 exams, 13-14 quizzes, and the final. Homework is not graded.
Literally the BEST professor in the chem department, you'll actually learn! She's VERY approachable! I would read the book and follow her lectures to really understand the material! Def do the HW for practice! As long as you're above the average for the exams, you're set PLUS her sections do 20% better on the final so the curve is AMAZING. GL!!!
Dr. Gindt is a great professor who cares deeply about her students. She tries her best to make all her students understand the material and succeed. You do have to put in hard work, but that is true of all chemistry classes. Take good lecture notes, read the textbook, do the homework and you'll manage :) she's very approachable.
CHem 2 itself is very hard. However DR. Gindt is a very good professor who really cares for her students. She is the best professor out of the whole chem department. She actually makes you want to learn
A gem. If you have the option, take her. She's a genius, but she still possesses the ability to elucidate even the most difficult concepts. She deeply cares about both your grades and your well-being. Her class is a ton of work, but her methods are effective. You will learn and do well if you do assigned problems, study, and ask for help.
To everyone saying she is approachable, I think we're talking about two different people. She always had this slight rudeness in her tone. I went to her about a misgrade for lab and she didn't seem to care. I know it was a couple of points, but it's my grade! I went to her office hours and she wasn't much help there either. Wish I didnt take her.
She has made this online school (because of COVID-19) literally so hard and impossible. she has made chemistry exponentially worse than it already is. I regret taking her!! please just stay away
Im convinced shes out to just fail kids. Shes not empathetic at all. You would expect it especially since theres an actual pandemic going on.
Stay away from her. Unless youre a chem/biochem major, passing this class with her as your professor is slim. Her exams are difficult to understand and are nothing like quizzes or class problems. In lecture she never fully finishes problems she just ends where ever she wants to with the problem. She expects all her students to know what she knows.
Shes awful with explaining things except when you have specific questions. But if no one asks her anything, expect a skimp on explanation. She made online class incredibly stressful and all she cared about was failing kids basically in a time where lots of people are struggling. Exams are incredibly hard, have to read textbook a lot just to get by
for online chem class, she went insane about cheating and it had such a negative effect on students. Any wrong move, you were suspected of cheating. Chem online was infinitely harder and she did not care about the students. All she wanted was to make everything hard. She played favorites and when I had a question, she was very unhelpful and mean.
She has made online class due to the pandemic a hell. Chem2 was already crazy as is but its like she was setting up students for failure. She gave quizzes twice a week and she just lacked empathy. Stay away!
Dr. Gindt is characterized by a dedication to impart the lecture in the most efficient way to her students and this quality of hers did not dwindle when the course became online due to COVID-19 as she continually sent videos and held conferences. I am amazed at her passion for chem and how proficiently she guides students to the path of success.
DO NOT TAKE HER FOR CHEM121 the only people who did well in her class were her students who took her for chem120 prior, they had an advantage. Everyone else struggled and suffered, so many people dropped the class including myself and I wouldve failed if I didnt.
The fact that the online chem course is drastically different than the normal Chem 2 class and she still applied the same grading scale is insane. All the exams were drastically different, none of them were something we were used to. She played favorites with people who had her previously. her teaching style is bad, barely explained concepts. BAD!
OMG! Gindt is the best chem professor I ever had. She's willing to help if we're struggling. Definitely go to her office hours and send her emails if you're confused at something. If her class is available then go take her! She really is such a gem point blank PERIODT!
Dr. Gindt is hands down the funniest, most intelligent professor at MSU. She truly cares and will do everything in her power to help, if you put in the effort. All of these bad reviews for online class due to CoVid are crazy! The exams were difficult because she found exam exams questions of Chegg! Dont listen to those comments!!! Shes a gem!!
I do not get why she is getting bad reviews. I had her last sem and chem 121. I kinda struggled, so I would go to her office hours for help. She explains everything really well and will do it again if you're still confused. Chem is a needy class so effort is really needed. People who are mad at her just didn't put enough effort.
Dr. Gindt is a fantastic professor. She has a passion for chemistry, and her lectures are fun and informative. However, chemistry itself is a hard subject to grasp. You will have to work for your grade. This class is not an easy A, so think again. Overall, she lit.
First off, everybody thats giving hate comments on Gindt shame on u..u must not know what hard work is lol. Anywho Chem is not my fav sub. but Gindt really helped and taught me a lot. I wasnt a strong student in her class in the begin. but b/c of her I WORKED HARD & she got me better. Gindt does care & she litty! GO TO HER OFFICE Periodtt
Listen Chem is not suppose to be easy, but remember its all about the hard work you put in. If ur able to do the work and make chem like ur needy girlfriendas Gindt says lol you will succeed thru this class. ASK URSELF if u are capable to do hard work cuz If not lol all I can say is nothing is easy in life so prepare for the worse :) WORK HARD
Chem is a not an essay subject, it's all about the hard work you put it. Dr. Gindt has really taught me a lot. She tends to give a tricky questions so we struggle to approach the answer and somewhat learn something out of it. She's an amazing professor and always available for help. The online lectures were a struggle however it's not her fault.
Listen to the bad reviews about her. The people who are giving her good reviews are only setting you up. Gindt acts like this is the only class students are taking. She is the most unorganized and sloppy professor when it comes to lecturing. She rushes through problems and doesnt explain them. For your own benefit dont take her.
If you listen to the good reviews and take her class, youre setting yourself up for failure. she plays favorites with people who took her for CHEM120. Explains things badly. Doesnt go over concepts at all. expects you to put all your effort into chem when you have other classes to do as well.
seriously, just avoid her. if youre even the least bit worried about passing chemistry, youre better off taking someone else. she is definitely not litty. Again, people who took her first semester
The people who are saying shes litty and the word periodtt are suspect seems like same person lmao. Honestly dont take her
Gindt is honestly one of the most amazing professor I have had in all of college. She is clearly passionate about chemistry and her explanations (that also tie into other sciences like bio) are extremely valuable and helpful. You will have to work hard, but this goes for every class. She helped me through a lot outside of class too. She's great!
I think there were people who got different experiences. Instead of giving everyone the same treatment, she played favorites. precisely those favorites who speak fondly of her. for lab, made incredibly difficult because of the really bad instructor we had. and Dr. Gindt defended her so much instead of listening to us when we said she was terrible
Shes not the worst, but she definitely was not the best. She kinda left examples off at random spots and expected students to just know where to pick up. She wasnt empathetic at all with the pandemic. I understand that transitioning to online was hard for everyone, but sheesh Dr. Gindt went out of her way to make it really terrible. Avoid her ig
There are mixed reviews, but I think everyone who took her agrees that you had to work hard to earn a good grade. TIPS: do the hw, read the book, listen in lecture, review quizzes and notes, create a study guide for each exam. Bc she makes it hard, you have an advantage on the final and a nice curve. Work hard, there is no easy A in this class.
She taught as if we all should have already known this stuff. She needed to understand that, although the majority were chem majors, not everyone gets everything on first try. I think she needed to slow down and really explain things so that certain people arent basically left to fend for themselves. Who wants to teach themselves a hard course?
Intimidating and makes you work, but helpful and effectively learned in this class. If you participate, she makes sure you personally understand the material. Remembers faces and names, so can't get away with missing class unnoticed. Tough on students, but shows she cares and can crack jokes here and there. Don't take her too seriously.
The absolute best chem professor in the department. She tells you whats on her tests so you know what to study, and her class average is much higher than every other professors. She also gives extreme curves so its easy to finish with above a B. Read the book and do the homework and youll do well. Take her!!!!
best professor ever! chemistry is always difficult for me but she gave a great curve by dropping the lowest test grade. therefore, i was able to succeed here with that and the homework that she provided us to study and learn off of. ill deff take again!
first off, this professor was challenging but in a positive way. she makes you work but she is extremely worth it because she provides multiple ways on helping you study and achieve a good grade b/c she cares for her students and the outcomes. attendance isnt mandatory but i recommend on going if you struggle with chemistry itself
Dr. Gindt is the most caring, and best professor I have had in long time. Yes, Chemistry 121 is hard, but Dr. Gindt's enthusiasm and knowledge really make you feel eager to learn more. Chemistry is not for everyone, and Dr. Gindt really sets your foundation for any other chemistry course. If you want someone to care, and really teach chem take her
Professor Gindt has to be the most genuine, well-respected, and passionate Professor I have ever met. Her class is not easy by any means she really makes you work for your grade, to actually understand the material and what is happening. Overall, I appreciate her so much, TAKE HER!
This course made me question my entire career choice. The first few weeks were manageable, but it quickly fell down hill. Also along with that, the labs were disasters, literally no one knows what's going on and the lab instructor is the worst at giving advice. So practically for most of the class you're on your own, and you best be PRAYING a lot.
Love her as a professor, but she needs to be more empathetic. Do not make a hawk to hawk class synchronous for students unable to show up in person if you are still going to make their lives hard on zoom so they show up in person anyways. So expect us to fail. Some people actually live far and dorming is expensive if most classes are online.
Making it clear. Yes you HAVE to study and do the homework to pass. Im a slacker and I learned quick. Test are fairly hard but not if you study and DO the homework. She actually cares if we pass or fail and does offer help outside of class, take advantage. Dont understand then ask. Fair number of quizzes but they help. Overall, great Professor.
I went to her office hours for help once and she literally turned me away and said I cant help you. Then why is she being paid? She isnt great with explaining. Anyone who didnt have her for chem120 was pretty much ignored, she favored kids she had before. Just avoid her honestly. You end up putting more effort than most just to get by.
So I had a garbage instructor for CHEM120, and Dr. Gindt actually made me like chem all over again. Yes, the class is hard, but she always gives you feedback on what you do wrong on and how to improve. Also a very forgiving grader so long as you make sure to do your homework and quizzes and make sure to participate!
I'm telling you, if you are hesitant about taking Gindt, TAKE HER. She is a great professor who cares about her students even though she may seem intimidating at first. Make sure you attend lecture, do the HW problems and study for exams. She really cares about her students and wants them to do well. Overall, her sections did the best on the final.
Bad at chemistry? Ignore all the 5s and 4s comments, don't take her. She nice and willing to help. Labs you're in your own. She doesn't teach you for learning she challenges your knowledge which doesn't work for me. I'm sure there are better/easy A's over there, don't risk your GPA. She is not impossible she is a headache and not for everyone.
2nd time taking gen chem 2 at MSU and I am so happy I took it with Dr. Gindt! At this time idk if I am passing yet but if I have to retake I will definitely do it with her again. She is extremely knowledgable and clear, the best chemistry professor I have had at MSU. Be expected to work, though. Definitely not an easy A, but you will learn a lot!
Yvonne was one of the best parts of my academic career at Montclair State University. I took general chemistry 2 with her and felt as if I had never learned so much as I did in that four week period. Although I nearly failed and need to retake, I highly recommend taking her if you want to learn how to become a better person. 10/10 would take again!
Gindt is the best. She cares for you so much! In the beginning she may seem very rude but thats just her being outspoken. She really was able to teach me a lot. You have to pay attention to her lectures and do the homework. She gives a lot of quizzes but they are helpful. You have to open up to her about where your struggling. She will always help.
For every quiz we take, she gives feedbacks and writes a little note "come in for help" if she sees that you are not doing well. Do the homework! She assigns about over 20 questions that are in the textbook. the lecture is heavy, if you don't do the homework, you will not understand the lecture for the next class.
Dr. Gindt is an amazing professor. Chem is a tough subject so expect to put in time to learn the material. Go in for extra help and create study groups. I highly suggest taking Dr. Gindt for chem, if you are disciplined and motivated to learn.
Professor Gindt was kind and helpful as a person, however the overall grade was only from tests, pop quizzes, and examsss (hw does not help your grade). I struggled manyyy times thru the semester (was prob the worst class out of my others for me). Labs were okay and easy to get a good grade on but again quizzes each lab.
Dr. Gindt is one of the best professors at MSU. She is very knowledgeable and actually cares if her students are doing well. Some important tips: Do her hw (not graded, but good practice), study off of her quizzes, and ask for help. She might seem intimidating at first, but don't be afraid of her. Highly recommend for chem/biochem/bio majors.
Mx. Gindt (they are nonbinary) was an amazing professor but what touched me was how they chose to instruct the course. Rather than stand at the front of the lecture & teach or upload presentations to canvas, zir gave us a cd of them reciting chemistry to listen to at night when we slept. At first I thought it was a joke but I passed with a B-. 9/10
Professor Gindt is an enigma, in lectures she seems rude and picks on people with questions and problems. However, in office hours she is incredibly kind and caring. She made chemistry fun and made the concepts simpler. Although she sometimes runs too fast through her lectures,so it is HIGHLY recommended to take notes, ALOT OF THEM in this class.
Taking a course with Professor Gindt will not be a walk in the park. I barely passed! She was honestly kind of blunt and straightforward, so she may come off as rude to many. Hw is not graded and I pretty much failed all of my assessments. The only things that were carrying my grade were probably the labs and recitations. *Tip: Actually do the hw!
The exams were tough but if you take her you will suffer. She is nice and straightforward but sometimes it doesn't help us with our gpa.
I asked her question and I said "I didn't understand this question" instead of helping she told me that it was because I didn't pay attention and that I was going to fail in that class. I am sorry but I have ADHD and sometimes it's not easy to understand everything. I mean since when asking questions meant not paying attention
Prof Gindt has very high standards for her students, she will push you even when are doing well in the class. I loved taking Gindt's class, she genuinely cares for her students and is practically always available for office hours. I don't think I could've succeeded in chemistry if I had taken any other professor. Take her, you won't regret it
She is the best professor I've had here. She truly cares about her students doing well and is always willing to help. The class is difficult but she's the best in the chem dept! You'll learn the most and likely perform the best that you can if you take chem with her.
She is definitely one of the best, if not the best, chem professor out there. Although her tests are tough , she prepares you well for them, is accessible outside class, and also her students tend to outperform the other sections in the final. I took her for chem 120 and decided to take her again, and that was the best decision. Totally recommend.
You will suffer so much throughout the course take it in your own risk. this course definitely made me cry so much.
Despite her tough exterior & tough-love approach to teaching, she is a caring and humorous individual who pushes her students to achieve their best. Chemistry is challenging and you need to put in the work Prof.Gindt gives you all the tools to do the work, and will even explain concepts further just give her a visit. U will pass just do as she says
Dr. Gindt is a great professor. Chemistry in the summer is tough but Dr. G makes it easier to understand and fun. Many professors discourage students but Dr. G motivates you. Also is very funny. I look forward to more classes with this Professor. Rate 10/10
I am so glad I took this summer course with Dr. Gindt. This Professor inspires you to do great things. She is very intelligent and wants to share her knowledge. Chem is tough but she made it clear to understand and very fair. If you put in the work you will succeed in her class. Dr. Gindt made our class feel light with her humorous personality.
Don't fall for that 4.8 rating; she had favorites. Three tests; fail those, and you fail the whole class.
Amazing professor, made me feel important and gave me really good advice!!
Chemistry is an extremely difficult subject, but Professor Gindt really helps every student understand the content. She may seem tough at first, but she really does work with you to help you better understand whatever you are struggling with. Attend her office hours and recitation! DONT miss lecture... at all!!!
Dr. Gindt is an amazing professor. Her review sessions for exams were helpful to attend. There were a bunch of quizzes but even if you fail, attend the recitations and you gain points that can cover a bad grade on a quiz. She comes during labs to help anyone struggling too. Take her if you can, there's a reason her students do better on the final!
Dr. Gindt is the hardest chemistry professor, be prepared to struggle on her exams. She has a sarcastic sense of humor, don't be sensitive about it, it's nothing personal. She's an amazing professor, you can tell she cares about teaching and tries her best to simplify the material. Her exam questions, on the other hand, are nothing but simplified.
Go to her exam review sessions, otherwise you might not do well on the exams. She cares for her students.
Her class was challenging but paid off. Going to her lectures and reviews is a must.
She was a great professor, but a terribly petty & condescending human being. Her tests were fair and were easy to do well on as long as you did her homework, and she was very good at breaking down the concepts. She also gave quizzes, which did help in the long run. Overall, if you can get past her attitude then it is very easy to do well.
Honestly, she is a great professor. Her class is hard don't get me wrong, but it pays off later on. She tries really hard and breaks it down for you. Very pop quiz heavy but it keeps you on track. I would 100% take her again. Don't take her sense of humor personally.
Dr. Gindt is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. Yes, the class is intense but she makes it interesting and in a way fun while you are learning. She's funny and she cares about students and their futures. Dr. Gindt is passionate about her field and sharing her knowledge. 10 out of 10.
Her class may be a little difficult but it is worth it. Lectures are interesting and she is really funny. She is easily accessible and will answer all questions you have. If you get the chance take chem with her.
Dr. Gindt is an amazing professor. While the material can be tricky and difficult at times, she teaches in a way that makes the material easy to understand. She gives lots of homework but it's optional (I recommend doing it to get a better grasp of material). Don't be intimidated, Dr.Gindt has sarcastic humor but she cares about her students.
I am fortunate to have Dr. Gindt as my professor. She inspires me to work harder. The work is challenging but the professor makes the class what it is. Excellent professor who is enthusiastic about teaching and inspiring students.
She is super helpful! She wants her students to succeed and does not hesitate to help out her students.
Dr. Gindt is the best Chemistry Professor I have ever had. She is very knowledgeable and makes class interesting. It's a gift to students that she is teaching at MSU because with her intelligence she could be working with NASA. Very down to earth. The course is intense but she teaches it in a way that makes you like chemistry.
Although attendance is not mandatory it is highly important. Miss a lecture and you miss almost an entire chapter. The course is not textbook heavy although there is a textbook. It's at your discretion to buy Participate a lot and build a strong connection, show up for help when you need it, and make sure you really understand what is being taught.
Professor Gindt is tough but an amazing teacher. Her exams are challenging, but she genuinely cares about helping students succeed. Attend her review sessions and use resources like Unstuckstudy to prepare - it really makes a difference.
Dr. Gindt turned this class into an engaging and enjoyable experience. Her kindness and sense of humor contribute significantly to the learning environment. She delivers her lessons effectively, ensuring that students remain attentive and interested. It is evident that she has a genuine passion for her work. An outstanding professor.
Dr. Gindt is the best Professor I have ever had. She is clear in the way she teaches and really helps you understand. Best experience. 10/10
Dr. Gindt has amazing lectures, if you skip class often, you probably will not pass. She has a pop quiz every week which might seem like a lot, but it keeps you engaged in the class and helps you learn from your mistakes. Don't stress too much about the quizzes, there are a lot of quizzes and incentive points are available if you use your resources
Dr. Gindt is an excellent professor. She explains things clearly and makes class interesting. As long as you attend class and study she will inspire you to do more. She is a very nice person and so intelligent.
Dr. Gindt is arguably one of the best professors at MSU. Her deep understanding of chemistry is impressive. Her teaching method is top notch. Although the course is rigorous, she presents the material in a way that makes it accessible. I wish more professors shared her dedication and approach.10/10 recommend her.
Dr.Gindt has been the most helpful and intelligent professor at MSU, she explains things to its core and provides amazing examples on concepts, she is a passionate professor who loves to teach and answer any given question on the subject. She has pop quizzes every week, but they're not bad as they help you stay on track. Don't be afraid to take her
The best professor there is. No doubt about it she should be your choice. She is very smart and makes learning easier. She is also very caring and so approachable. Wish I could take her for all my courses.
Really inspiring and caring professor. Super accessible and always willing to help. Exams are somewhat difficult but so is the content. Pop quizzes every week.
Dr. Gindt is the best. The work is challenging but she makes it work. Recommend her 100%. She's very knowledgeable and easy to understand.
If you don't suck up to her during class, expect your grade to get worse and worse. She won't even look at you. She won't even say hi to you. Just ignore. Despite getting an A, she's the epitome of a lowlife who became a professor and thinks she's hot ish
Dr. Gindt is the most amazing professor you can get. She teaches chemistry in a way that is understandable and actually enjoyable. The course is challenging but she makes it better. Very compassionate and helpful to students who want to succeed. She is very intelligent and humble.
Dr. Gindt does not demonstrate much compassion for students. Office hours are not a supportive environment, and she often advises struggling students to withdraw rather than helping them improve. It also appears she favors certain students, offering help selectively. I'd recommend taking a different professor for the sake of your grade.
Just not a good teacher. If you skip lecture you will fail. If you skip you might as well withdraw. She just has a bad attiude towards everything. Will come at you. Just dont
She's an amazing person; any question you have she will always have an answer for it. Those who say she is hard did not put in the work she expects you to put in. She is one of the few chem professors who are very passionate about the subject. Attending lectures is very important, one missed class and you are far behind. Many pop quizzes.
Literally the worst professor I've ever had. So much favoritism to the ones that suck up to her. Very rude and discouraging. If you miss even one class you are legitimately cooked because she goes so fast it's so easy to fall behind. Pop quizzes are very frequent. You're 100% better off with another professor.
Dr. Gindt was truly an amazing professor. She was tough, but as long as you listen and take her advice, you should do well in the class. I am warning you, she does play favorites, so that will be a bit annoying if you are not one of them. Overall, it was a great class and wasn't too difficult.
