Mrs. McCoy was extemely helpful and enegetic with her lectures. Her test are hard if you don't study but she provides a great study guide. I really enjoyed her class and look forward to taking more of her classes. I definately reccommend her!

I took her for human sexuality, and she is way dope. First of all the class is so fun.. but we do talk about everything sexual.. so if don't want to hear it don't take her. She doesnt make anyone feel uncomfortable and is really sweet. She works with you, get past test 1 and you're aces.

Very nice lady. She makes the class enjoyable, I had to wake early for the 8am, but i went because often times very interesting. Assigns extra credit. Offers help when asked. A lot of the material is covered in the textbook.On average I would say there are about 5 questions on the test she covers in class, so attend class if you want that "A"

I had the unfortunate experience of having one of the most distracting and strange person I ever seen in my class, who made the most disgusting sounds all the time, even with such a huge distraction she was able to KEEP my attention. The class is fairly easy and she's funny at times but sometimes can be a bit nasty if she's not in a good mood which you can usually tell within 10 minutes of class. She doesn't like to be questioned AT ALL so don't think this is a class where your opinion is valued. Lots of homework so if you don't like it don't take her. Overall easy A.

I took this course online in a summer session. Read each chapter and study the power points and you should be fine. The teacher answered any questions and/or concerns that I had. Stay on top of the quizzes and homework. Make sure that you actually study for the exam. There were 14 quizzes and 3 exams including the final exam. I made an A.

I took this course over a 6 week summer session. it was a lot of work but the teacher was awesome! Got back to me as soon as i sent an email. She's funny too! Take her, you'll love her!

She is so wonderful and smart. She knows so many things and she will help you learn things you can relate to your own life. She is also very funny and sweet, and she gives a lot of extra credit. Her tests don't trick you, she wants to help you learn.

BEST CLASS EVER! she is very much the best. it is very interesting, we had class discussions, have to be open minded. class discussions were very fun! i really recommend this class, if you dont have to take it use it as an elective! gives study guide that is basically the test. no assignments other than one 2 papers and the 3 test. very easy class!

*TOOK ONLINE* McCoy is GREAT! Blackboard is always up to date and you are equiped with everything you need to be successful.Very detailed assignments,and not a hard grader. There is a quiz due every week (10 questions), 3 exams, 3 short answers, 3 group discussions, and 1 essay. Sounds like alot but it is realllly easy. Highly reccomend taking her!

I took Intro to Psychology online and it was very simple and easy to understand! She was very clear and helpful, it was a great class, my favorite this semester! She grades easy and is very nice and wants you to make a good grade. I HIGHLY recommend her!

I took her for summer 2 online class. I have another online class. It was a lot to read if you have 2 classes online. She post all quizzes and tests online for 2 weeks for you to complete-i got done early. 7 quizzes, 1 exam every 2 weeks, 1-300 words essay, 1 discussion board. Study the last pages of each ch. (review/Q & A)and you're good.

Had the quizzes and exams open early.1 discussion board, extra credit orientation quiz over syllabus, 14 chapters and quiz after each chapter (20 min),3 exams (90 min) after ch 1-5, ch 6-10, and ch 11-14. Ch 12 short essay (300-400 words) that is more like a small research paper.

Hands down FAVORITE class I've ever taken. Loved this professor! She makes it so much fun! As long as you take notes and go to class you will make the grade you want.

I took this class online and can't sing her praises enough. I had some issues with financial aid at the beginning of the semester which caused me to be temporarily dropped from the class, and she worked with me and extended my first deadline to make sure I would still pass the class. She responds to emails promptly and is so sweet. Take her class!

Easy class, all you have to do is read and complete a module a week take the quiz and then after about 5 modules take an exam. All open book and super easy, I loved that the text was an easy read.

Easy A. Took Psychology online. The best part about this class is that she doesn't have assignments due every week. She has a set due date for all the chapter work. There's only like 3 or 4 due dates the entire semester. You have plenty of time to focus on your other classes.

She was funny, clever, shared details of her life in order to make it a safe environment for us to do the same, as we learned many techniques in interactions with others and with ourselves. Yvonne McCoy was the caring professor that everyone wants to have. She was clear about expectations for the summer online class. The work load was consistent but doable. The weekly deadlines allowed you to work hard on one day or space out the assignments . She drops your lowest quiz as everyone has an off day. The material was interesting .

Professor McCoy tells you her tests are straightforward and she is telling the truth! I genuinely learned from this class. It is discussion heavy, not lecture heavy, which opens up applicable avenues for the information in the chapter. You do need the book for the activity packets that are due about once a week.

I took her online, and the class couldn't be more simple. All the quizzes are straight from the powerpoints, which covers the text so you don't need the book. The tests are long, and cover a lot of material, but if you keep the powerpoints open when you test, you should do fine. If you want an easy online class, without too many due dates, take her

Prof. McCoy is one of my favorites on TCC NE Campus! S he is very clear in her syllabus as to how the class is organized and what is and is not acceptable. She moves very quickly through the material and reading will be essential to studying for her tests (paired with the notes you take). She is always helpful and understanding!

A great professor! Learning psychology was so fun and interesting when she was teaching. If you show up to every lecture and take good notes off her powerpoints, studying for exams should be easy. I took McCoy's online Psychology class 2301, she gives you a months time to get about 5 quizzes done and a discussion board, then you just take the exam over those 4 or 5 chapters. The class is super easy and she is a good grader. I would definitely recommend her class!

I took 2301 online for Summer II. Everything was open on the first day of class and I worked through the class in three days. You won't need to buy the textbook, you can find answers to the quizzes and exams easily online. Two DBs and a short essay. Easy A if you put just a little bit of effort in.

Professor McCoy is exceptional when it comes to lectures, she always tests off of her slides. If you are having trouble understanding something you can look it up in the book, but that is rarely needed because she is very in depth in her lectures and slides. She gives extra credit on random days throughout semester, so show up.

Attendance is necessary to take notes and pass. There is rarely work outside of class except studying for tests, and she has many opportunities for EC. No book needed. Everything is on her PPs, and she is serious about not taking pictures of them or posting online. She gives big hints about what you need to know. She is quirky, and I enjoyed her.

I had Professor MCcoy second semester, and she was absolutely wonderful! I will most certainly be checking to see if she teaches other PSYC courses. She is all about her power points and note taking.

It's 15 quiz each lesson (we can google everything, just Ctrl+F); 3 exam (can google to find answer 85%); 2 discussion boards and 1 essay 500 words. It's so easy because I can google all my answers :))

I like that you are given a long period of time to complete the work at your own pace, and not given weekly due dates. She is very picky during writing assignments, so if you're not good at writing then get ready for a low grade in that department. She is worse than an English teacher!!! Other than that it is easy! Read and take quizzes.

She is very upfront about what you need to know, and it all comes from the PowerPoint. She will not give you the PP if you skipped class, though, so always show up. She asks for class participation, but makes you feel stupid if you don't say exactly what she wants to hear.

McCoy was far by the greatest psychology professor ever. I took her online, I was nervous at first because it was my first online class, but she made the structure of the class organized. But she's a tough grader on DBs and essay so make sure you edit your writing a LOT. Provides extra credit opportunities. Replies fast to emails. Would take again!

I loved this class! she is super easy all you have to do is show up for class, she gives extra points by showing up, she does not give out any assingments but the tests are not hard either just show up to study session which gives you extra points as well. Her tests are multiple choice and it is really easy to make an A in her class!

Despite TCC requiring attendance, the class structure is easy to follow and navigate She gives us a lot of room to get things done on our own time, but you still need to keep up because sections close after a couple of weeks. Basically, check-in once a week and do some work and you'll be fine and get an A.

Simply a magnificent teacher! It was easy to tell that she was passionate about her craft, sharing her stories and encouraging us to share our own. She always made sure we understood what was being taught, and if we still didn't understand something, she took the time to help us out! I always really looked forward to going to her class!

Prof. Mccoy is a really straightforward, funny, and overall a great teacher. She does sometimes get a little moody and she can tend to yell at a class if they're all quiet/don't give the answer she's looking for, and she can come off rude sometimes. Her exams are exactly the notes and it is best that you participate in all the class activities.

Youre grade will come from the 4 tests and some in-class assignments. Took her for a half semester course and was one of the easiest online classes I have taken! About every 2-3 weeks there is 4 chapters due, 1 quiz for each chapter and an exam covering all 4! Her power points are very informational and interesting! There are a few other easy assignments. Her instructions were very clear and she was very helpful!

She was little strict at first and has her ways of doing things. But once the class gets unfolded, she's an extremely good teacher and her PowerPoints are some of the best. She always made the class interesting with a bunch of stories and metaphors for what we were learning. The class is basically graded off of tests alone. so study well.

Ms. McCoy has inspired me to change my major entirely to psychology. Not only is she extremely educated and well informed on her discipline, but she breaks it down to digestible forms and ensures understanding. I felt so prepared to tackle higher division psychology courses because she laid the foundation so clear and strong. LOVE LOVE!!

TYPE YOUR NOTES DURING THE LECTURE. She talks fast during PowerPoint lectures. Do not handwrite your notes you won't get all the info from the slides down. She posts a study guide for the exam a week before the exam. DO IT. Everything in the study guide is on the exam. Easy Lil assignments, extra credit plus bonus questions on exams. Easy A.

I really liked Professor McCoy, she's really sweet and understanding, I would say to pay attention and take good notes on her PowerPoint. As for tests, the study guides are your friend, and doing them and studying them will get you good grades on her tests.

Professor McCoy was great! The online course was not hard to navigate. If you want to succeed, read your book, do the study guides, and review the powerpoint/notes. Tests are proctored, but you can use your notes and textbook. This class made me want to switch my career path!

Get ready to take notes IN class because she will not post the powerpoint/lecture online (depends). The notes are very helpful for when you take quizzes but on exams you can't use them but the notes then guide you on the exam study guide. One bad grade could hurt you, so make sure you understand your assignments so you don't miss out on points.

Professor McCoy runs a well-organized course. Attend class, take detailed notes, and use the study guides - they're spot on for the exams. unstuck study was a lifesaver for preparing. Overall, a manageable class with helpful feedback.

She lectures and explains things very well, I found her class very fun. Quizzes or discussion board every week over the lecture, exams every few chapters. She provides a study guide for exams which helps a lot. Textbook is required but is online (free). She is flexible and gives extra credit opportunities. I definitely recommend her!!

She's great with responding to emails/questions and was always nice in her responses. Everything is pretty straightforward for her class.

Miss McCoy is such a sweet lady! She had always helped me when I had technical issues about my quizzes and checked class's grades to see If there were students who needs extra credit to makes their grade higher. She makes some jokes during lectures and opens videos often for us to visually remember the topics clearly. You also do short group works.

I really enjoyed the online class! Very understanding and quick in response. She gives a clear grading system. She doesn't tolerate late work. Quizzes after every chapter and notes are allowed during the 4 proctored Exams. She gives extra credits too! Easy class

Prof. McCoy is honestly the best professor I have ever had. She is highly encouraging, and you have to work for the grade you get. I made a Quizlet for each unit, and I was highly successful. PLEASE take this class, I would take it 100 times if I could.

I loved everything about this course because she makes it fun to learn. I worked for my grade, but it is not too difficult. Really enjoyed this class!
