He is enthusiastic about teaching and is very approachable. I'm looking forward to this course.
His midterm was unfair and confuing. Thing seem to make sense in book and lectures but question dont seem to tap knowledge, trivial quetions that are worded unfairly.
I was really impressed on how he handled the midterm. He actually listens to the class and seems pretty fair. This is my favourite course so far :)
awful prof, but the course is interesting. bring back zakzanis!!!
Great style of teaching. Very fair and very nice. Keep up the good work.
Really great prof! It's really difficult to find instructors that put so much effort into their teaching & actually think about their students first.
excellent prof. very fair.

Interesting course. Very fair to students and grading. This prof and course are highly recommended to future students!!!
Good professor and the course material was interesting. I have to admit that he got better as the course went on. Cares about the students learning. I recommend taking this course with him if he ever teaches it again.

Really nice professor. Attends to student's questions and he knows his stuff.
Apart from Zac being the most gorgeous professor anyone could ever ask for, he's incredibly smart and always looks out for his students best interest. He's always fair and keeps his committments to the class. All in all, he's one of the best prof's at UTSC
awesome prof, really cares about his students and will listen to their concerns and address it. fair final exam and makes lecture interesting too. i recommend this course.
Zach is one of the best professors at utsc. He really cares about his students and is very fair. Not to mention hot!
very good prof
very good prof
Prof Campbell is a great teacher. Very approachable and always accommodating to students' concerns. I hope he teaches other courses! :)
He is not the greatest lecturer, but the course material is pretty interesting. He gets alot of his lecture materials right of the text, and he just reads them off. But he is new prof, so give him a break. He does have the potential of being an awesome prof. and also, he is REALLY hot!
I agree with the previous rater. Zachariah will become an amazing lecturer with time. I noticed that he was occasionally nervous and quick but his effort to ensure the best for his students certainly stands out. Overall, I recommend this professor to future students and also hope he teaches more psych courses.
Pretty good proffessor. Fair midterms and final... Good all in all with clarity and everything but one thing was very disappointing; grades were belcourved down after final because the class average was to high...i went from an A- to a B!
This prof is amazing. Very helpful with students and easily approachable. I recommend this prof to future students.
Awesome prof - one of the better ones at UTSC!! He is very approachable and truly cares for his students. His exams are fair as long as you put in the effort to study! Definitely recommend this course to all students, plus its veryy interesting and based on presentations! (no text req'd)
*not D01, it's PSYD33* - Advanced abnormal
His lectures are well paced and he is very clear. I only sometimes had trouble when he used vocabularly more difficult than the textbook, but that wasn't often. His exams are very fair, and if he needs to make things more difficult, its not tricky, its just more detailed questions from the textbook that you should get right by studying well.
This has been my most favourite class so far in psychology. Professor Campbell is well-spoken and he genuinely tries to make the material meaningful. He is also very approachable. The exams are also fair in this course.
This is my second class with Zachariah. He is a great instructor in the way that he communicates the course material with enthusiasm and moderates class discussions in a professional manner. In all, I seriously recommend that you consider taking PSYD33 with him if you ever get the chance.
Course material was interesting even though I am a management student. A reasonable amount of effort will pay off in this course. Would take it again.
Zac Campbell is a great lecturer and a total sweetheart. I took his class online and it was at times difficult to pay attention to his lectures because his beauty was so distracting. Exams were fair and mostly textbook oriented. Overall, he's the type of man I would marry and have children with!
Good prof. took the course online. I wasn't able to get in touch with the TA or him, well i did, but they didn't reply. However, he does keep you posted on the portal.. Exams are straightforward. You need to study to do well though. Just wish the exam wasnt cumulative, its a lot of info.
Personally, i thought he did a much better job teaching D33 than B45. He was much more enthusiastic and he really made the effort to make class more interactive. Very helpful, approachable prof.
This prof is very approachable and very clear with his explanations. He is also very easy going which makes the class and learning experience a little bit less stressful.
One of the best lecturers I have ever had (I have had many lecturers over the past 4 years). I agree with the previous ratings in that he is easy to approach and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend him and wished he taught more of my courses.
The prof was relax but his course design was horrible - you basically are tested on how well you memorize the textbook the entire textbook. Final exam was far from what was shown in the sample exam questions and was made to drop the class' average. There is a devil behind that angel face. Be warned.
Exams are strictly based on the textbook and memorizing.
Campbell is an awesome prof who took great interest in the history of psych. admitted it was his favourite class to teach. TAs were okay - structuring of marking was horrendous though. Exams were alright, but very fair. Girls love him, but I understand why. Pulled out a very good grade even though I thought I failed the final. Very good prof!
Interesting course. Learned a lot despite the miscommunications with regards to the assignment. Exams were tricky but fair. He really tests you on the specifics that are all too often left out. Course material goes against the stereotype of a history course being boring.
hard to focus, because he is so handsome ;)
Easy to understand. Whole course is textbook memorization. He's a down to earth random guy. Pretty cute too
D33 is my favorite class so far (and I'm in 4th year). Within almost every class, we had intellectual debates about various aspects of abnormal psych which truly stretched my mind. Zach is a great prof. Take this course if you get the chance.
He is one of the best professors I've ever had. He genuinly cares about students, makes sure concepts are clear, provides great examples, I believe many professors who've been teaching for years should follow his example. The subject (and textbook) was very hands on/practical and easy to understand. Midterm-easy,final-tough,but marks came out fine.
loved this class. he really showed his passion for clinical/abnormal psychology and his moderation of debates was insightful. he is by far my favourite prof at UTSC so far. take this course!
Very good course to take. Professor Campbell is an awesome prof to consult, especially with the final paper. The debate topics were interesting and are definetly worth exploring if you love abnormal/clinical psychology. I recommend this course be taken by every person in psychology if they have the chance to take it.
Zachariah is an amazing professor. Especially in person. Down to earth and only cares about your personal behavioral improvement. This is the first time I've posted here and I completely recommend him. Great experience - thanks.
Was the one of the last courses I took at UTSC and definitely my favourite. Zachariah did a fantastic job and his insights regarding Clinical Psychology were intriguing. I learnt quite a bit. I should also mention that he's pretty funny and pretty cute.
I had Zachariah as my prof for both PSYB45 and PSYD33. He is my favourite teacher. When I consider the many other classes I have taken, which have been great nonetheless, he brings an authentic and genuine spirit to the teaching atmosphere to either a large lecture hall or a small d-level room. Highly recommended!!!
Zachariah is a rather genuine person who clearly wants to make a difference. Extremely approachable!!! Very refreshing!!! For once, I'm finally looking forward to physically attending a course :)
Definitely a very nice prof. Material in the course was very straightforward but exams weren't as easy as first thought. Quite empty lectures at the time I was taking the course but he still engaged the audience every class!
fast-paced lectures and tricky exams
Exceptional prof! Professional, engaging and has a great sense of humour. I attend lectures whenever I can. Midterm was fair with a range of easy to difficult questions. It isn't going to be all easy, this is U of T, it should be at least somewhat challenging. Proof: I'm not the greatest student but I applied myself & earned 87% on the midterm.
Love Zachariah. He is very approachable and helpful. His self-modification option has already really made a difference in the lives of my wife and myself. I applaud his sincerity and energy. Keep it up.
Great professor (and cute which doesn't hurt). Just did the midterm and felt it was more than fair. I met him in the hall a few weeks ago and was taken back by how approachable he was and his genuine concern for students. If he teaches any other courses, I've already signed up.
Prof.Campbell is a great prof he understands his students and very passionate about the course. I wish he teaches more course at UTSC. After taking this course, it really changed my lifestyle. The self-management assignment was really helpful in understanding about myself and the course. midterm was fair but final was tricky.
professor campbell turned a course that could potentially be the most interesting psych course to smt super boring. the exam is tricky, so much to memorize. his lectures are straight from the book
The breakdown of this course is the WORST! 40% midterm and 60% final. If you mess up on either your screwed. The final was absolutely ridiculous in terms of the amount of reading we had to do - 25 chapters total plus supplementary readings!I really like Zachariah but he needs to think about this absurd evaluation of his.
The class is really interesting but the final was ridiculous. I really liked zachariah but I'm not so sure after that final (I'm only kinda joking). It's just mean to make the midterm super easy and get us all excited then ruin all our dreams of getting a good mark by making the final so hard. The difficulty should be consistent throughout.
Loved the class... it definitely changed my life. Zachariah is very encouraging, but no doubt, the final was more difficult than the final because it was cumulative. I heard from a classmate that he teaches D33 often and it is amazing given the more intimate environment between the instructor and students. Great teacher but definitely challenging.
The final was too difficult. It consisted of 25 chapters, a cumulative exam. It's not fair to students who study hard but don't do well because questions are intentionally tricky. Even if you have the text book in front of you and memorize every word of it the exam will still be beyond challenging.
Midterm was more than fair, the final was ridiculous! I went from an A on the midterm to almost failing the final (and i studied the same). He is helpful if you approach him, but to me he is inconsistent with his behavior. And it is never clear how genuine he is when he "cares". However he will not be teaching at UTSC for a while it seems:)
Zachariah is the reason that I decided to pursue neuropsych instead of economics. I now have know my purpose in life in how to help people. I truly appreciated the content of this course as well as his receptiveness to my inquiries and concerns.
Content is interesting, presentation of the content is interesting, the professor is interesting... BUT the Final exam was ridiculously hard! This course is not for those who are looking for an easy time.
AMAZZING prof! Helped me realize what I wanted to do in life. I realized when I was watching one of his lectures. Such a positive and inspirational outlook on life he has. Final was a bit hard, but he tries to make it fair and has bonus assignments so you can earn more marks. Textbook reading is mandatory.
Amazing Prof! One of the best professors at UTSC. Majoring in Chemistry but decided to take this course as an elective and it was the best decision I made. Clear lectures, Very interesting. Can apply everything learned in this class to your life. Would love to take another class with this prof. Textbook readings are a must!
Although his lectures are very clear, they do not cover even %10 of the stuff we need to know from the textbook. Workload is EXTREMELY high and the assignments seemed very disorganized (e.g. start dates and due dates consistently change). Expect the class averages to be very low.
Prof was fun and the course is interesting, but expect TONS of readings that you will not be able to finish.
Engaging prof that is knowledgable and very approachable. I like that he is responsive to students needs. Had him before and was not disappointed with my final grade and the study effort I put in. Heavy topic but inherently interesting. Not sure what to expect on the final but hoping for the best.
Could be a lot more organized. He's an overall average professor, and where he knows we'll struggle, he adds bonus assignments to boost our grades. His exams are tricky though, and you need to know every figure in the book. Overall, not too good, but not too bad either
Sexy prof. People hate on him because the course is difficult (it's marked as a B-level psychology course but it's heavy on bio/neuroscience, a LOT of readings). However, he went out of his way MANY times to make the final more manageable, including posting textbook exclusions and 'focused content slides'. Overall, difficult course, helpful prof.
A LOT OF READINGS. 22 chapters... But he listens to the feedback of students and shortened the material and made the exam easy so it was manageable.
This course is available via WebOption. Apparently due to a revamp of the course, lecture hours were cut short - causing an immense amount of material to be learned by students themselves. He went out of his way to assist his students in preparing for his final. Impressive prof with a heavy course.
It was his first time teaching this course I believe. It was a mess. There were so many readings to do though he did help us by cutting down the amount but it was still a lot. He also gave us bonus marks and bell curved a lot. He is average and avoid the course if you can.
It was his first time teaching the course and as a result of that he was not fully prepared. Personally, he is a great person to talk to one on one, but not so much in class. Unlike other professors he seems to have a genuine interest for teaching, but just needs to organize his information more properly.
Although I understand this was his first time teaching this course, it still could be A LOT more organized and structured. The complete class a total mess. Due dates/readings were changed all the time. The exams were tough. The readings were extremely heavy (and all over the place). If you don't need this course, stay away from it.
Great class despite amount of content. Interested in neuropsych much more so now!!
Took this class online most of the time - but attended a few classes when I could. Campbell is a great teacher and he did a great job trying to cover as much as he could using a 2 hour lecture slot per week. Hopefully this class is a 3 hour course next time around. Nice on the eyes, but that's beside's the point. Now interested in neuroscience :)
It was his first time teaching B65 Fall 2013. It was very disorganized: due dates kept moving, exams were started later than usual, and online quizzes were glitchy like crazy! But Campbell really tried to be considerate to students and would list EXACTLY what was going to be in exams. He also fixed any online quizzes problems. Very helpful! :)
Awesome midterm (A+). Killer final (awaiting my mark). It is nothing like the midterm, especially the way the questions are phrased. OUCH :(
I've taken 2 courses with him thus far and I have to say he is one of the most disorganized/unpredictable prof's I've ever had. That is all.
The course was really interesting overall but the prof was a little unorganized in lectures. Like a lot of people on here said, the midterm was pretty easy, but the final was ridiculously hard. Don't expect the final to be like the midterm even though the layout is the same. Textbook readings r necessary.
Very interesting subject but is not as easy as other b level psychology courses. I found the final and midterm challenging but fair. You can't cram anything with bio like neuroscience. You got an A this summer by just enjoying and spacing my studying. Nice/cute prof doesn't hurt either.
Very unorganized, replies to emails when it's too late, made us buy an expensive book with an online component for extra credit and half way through decided not to use it. Overall, crappy class! He totally takes away from the awesomeness of the brain by being the professor. Don't be fooled by his "charm" he needs more experience
Took the course in the summer. It was online as it was taped last year. Neuroscience for a psych student like me wasnt easy. Prof made it understandable. You cannot cram this course. One of my friends did and was not happy with his grade. But by planning ahead I was able to do well (A).
Professor Campbell teaches some complicated stuff but he makes every lecture interesting, interactive, fun and memorable. He is approachable and sincere, he truly wants people to pass. Also he is so intelligent it is a real treat to listen to him, but he will challenge you and will encourage participation so better do the readings.
He's an inspirational prof and really tries to help you out with studying for exams by dropping hints and putting up sample questions. Our final was scheduled relatively early this year so he cut down on readings. That said, the material itself is pretty confusing so you need to study to do well. But he helps by giving straight forward exams.
He is very interesting to listen to. He is clear in what he teaches but his midterm and exams are hard! he has an optional 3% assignment which I highly recommend because they mark it perfect if you put work into it. Expect somewhere in low 70s to mid70s
Prof. Campbell is really disorganized, but is clear in lecture and tries to assign a fair workload to students (in this class). Attending lecture is good for examples to grasp the concepts, but you're tested on the textbook material so make sure to take good notes! Exams are MCQ + SAQ and generally test important concepts.
Tough course for psych students like me who don't have a neuroscience background. Zachariah adjusted the textbook readings because the final fell on an early date - which was very helpful. Enjoyed his lectures and I echo previous comments on how he is wonderful on a one-on-one basis as well. Taking Drugs and the Brain this term :)
he's doesn't care about you and doesn't show up to class
Unfortunately, Dr. Campbell has to be one of the most disorganized profs at UTSC. I have had him for three classes and he never changes. He's a good talker and usually works his way out of his faults by giving easy marks. However, he is ALWAYS late on posting content, and sometimes would just not show up to class (without notice).
He is confusing and he makes tests and exams INTENTIONALLY harder to knock down the average. I have no idea how he got his bachelors, let alone a graduate degree. He put material he told us to ignore ON THE FINAL.
Lectures are useless. You must know the textbook inside out. Professor Campbell did not show up to lecture on a Friday morning, although the entire class made an effort to make it to class. All in all, he is nice to look at it.
Very disorganized. In all three courses that I've taken with him as the instructor, the course syllabus was modified to accommodate his inability to adhere to it. Tests are fairly straightforward; most questions are generated from large overarching concepts rather than minute details so it's pretty easy to do well as long as you read the textbook.
DISORGANIZED. Sent emails to the course email and never got any reply -- does anyone even monitor it? He claimed the Week 6-12 Lecture Sets would be posted around week 7... Week 9 and still nothing!! Midterm's coming up that includes week 6 material he hasn't even uploaded yet.... RIDICULOUS
Professor Campbell, makes a lot of excuses, sometimes it seems as though he is unaware of what he is talking about and seems confused about life. Just read the textbook and you'll be fine.
He is nice to look at, other than that he is a pretty terrible prof.
I don't usually rate online but feel that some who do usually did not do well. That aside, I found him to be a great communicator. He went out of his way to help me and another student outside of office hours. I have nothing but positive regard and recommend this course. I took it online in the summer but wish I it was in class.
First course with him. I'm registered for the online section but attended class anyways. I never felt more inspired. I was very impressed that he spent so much time after class helping me figure out what I want to do with my life after my undergrad.
Great prof! Really helpful in all aspects (esp the term paper). Really fair grader, although he takes a while to give your marks back. If you want to do well, do your weekly readings and make sure you come to class (easy marks)- plus the debates can be interesting/heated. Thoroughly enjoyed coming to class every week
Amazing prof. His lectures were not boring at all. Very, very helpful and encouraging.
Disorganized doesn't even come close to describing Campbell. He's all over the place, doesn't remember what he wants to say half of the time, and always finds excuses like being up all night watching someones pets or having a dry mouth. I've never wanted to avoid a professor so bad. Exam grading takes forever... DON'T TAKE HIS COURSES.
Good prof, just memorize the textbook. His exams are really fair. However, he takes forever to grade the exams
Highly disorganized, never knew how much was covered on an exam till a week before the exam. Always finding excuses to justify his inability to stay on track. Takes FOREVER to grade exams and his exams are tough. Stay away from his courses!
He's not a bad guy, he just gets off track all the time and watching lectures feels like a waste of time. He doesn't post test outlines until a week or so before the test which kind of sucks, but do your readings, review lecture slides and manage your time on tests and you'll be alright.
Professor Campbell's lectures were pretty much useless. For the online homework he opened it to students in week 9 instead of week 2. Read the textbook and you'll be fine.
he's probably the most disorganized prof at utsc. he'll say he's gonna post something one week... wait for it like 4 weeks later. lectures are essentially useless, just read the textbook. i found the material to be quite interesting, and he's pretty nice to look at too :))
Professor is very disorganized and will not reply to e-mails. Class is difficult in the sense that he requires students to know definition, word-for-word, directly from the book. Spelling and grammar are graded on midterm and final exams. He is good with words, so gets out a lot of things. Overall, would not recommend his class.
Fairly easy course if your in Neuroscience since NROB60 overlaps with this course a lot, so tons of repetition. A bit on the disorganized side but exams/tests are straight forward, just read the textbook word for word. Does tell you what figures that appears on tests.
Professor is very disorganized. He talks about a lot of his personal life and not enough textbook content. The lecture content is broad, such as oversimplifying materials. When discussing about lateralization, he oversimplifies the concepts despite that he is testing it in a more detailed manner. His disorganization discourage students attending.
Readings are all testable but he will explicitly say when he's leaving something out. Very interesting course overall, try and get your hands on test banks.
Unfortunately he was the most disorganized professor I've ever met. Lectures are useless - focus on the textbook. The material is interesting. However the disorganization really ruins this course - testable materials are uploaded up to the night before the exam, was late for his exams and made everyone wait. Syllabus had to be modified too.
This prof is nice but the readings are heavy. Used the testbanks for midterm, I prepared for the final without them and got 4.0. "Bird" course if you like neuro, bio and psych. Lectures are based on main concepts, use the text for details. Unless he tells you otherwise.
Alright look, he explains things very well. However, his exams are hard, and he gives very short amount of time to do them. For example, he will give 1hr 20min to do 100 MCQ. This wouldnt be a problem if the questions weren't PARAGRAPHS that you have to read over and over again. Avoid this guy if you can.
Easiest 4.0 ever. Professor Campbell is a great lecturer, if you get him you're lucky. Awesome and intelligent man.
Although he used testbanks heavily, learning experience was bad. Guy is hard to get a hold of, considering hes teaching an online course. Horrible email response time, sometimes he wont even reply. Did not even give course mark breakdown till the day before the first midterm. Wish the course had other opportunities to get grades, too test heavy.
Such a great professor, if you have the chance to take one of his courses, don't pass it up. Go see him during office hours, really great person to have a conversation with, extremely intelligent and down to earth. One of my favourites!
He explains concepts really well, makes it very clear what is expected of you on the exams (questions for which are fairly straightforward).
Prof. Campbell is obviously really smart and knowledgeable, but the course material is hard by nature because it is so packed with content. Those who call the course easy most likely studied the testbanks and got great marks :( I will I did that.
I had ZC for PSYC32, PSYB65 and PSYC62 and found him a very good communicator who was generous with his time/counsel. Some people don't like his storytelling but I truly thought it brought the content to life. Warning: if you take his courses via WebOption, he isn't great about responding to emails; much better if you visit during his office hours.
Zac is very charming superficially but not pleasant to have as a prof, at all- the guy is super disorganized and usually late. Most of the time he says he will upload something by a certain time but fails to meet those timelines (which he is setting). Likes to waste class time with personal life stories (I don't pay tuition for that?).
Disorganized lectures, rambles on irrelevant Tangents. Actually disorganized in general. He got caught last year PSYC62 for tests being based entirely on test banks... so this year he created his own questions. Gave breakdown a day before midterm, breakdown of content was not accurate for exam. Exam had spelling errors and was incoherent at best
Never is accessible through email, don't even bother typing something up! I've never been so excited to take a course and then so thoroughly disappointed at how it was being taught. This is my first time taking a Campbell course, I wish I hadn't ignored all the warnings since he is infamous at UTSC for: Poor tests, communication and organization.
Good luck to all who have to take a course with Campbell. You will not be learning much, just trying to cram all the textbooks chapters so that you can barely pass the exam. He will not bell-curve the class even when the average is so slow, that you have to question whether all students were unprepared or if his test was just unfair.
Has shown up 10+ minutes late to class for half the semester, used pixelated slides that he couldn't read in his lectures for 3 weeks because he didn't remember to fix them, posted "sample" midterm q the night before the midterm that didn't resemble those on the actual thing. MT1 had more typos than the essays I write an hour before they're due
Everything is from the textbook. No surprises. Disorganized but the tests are fair. MT1 was ridden with typos but MT2 was very clear and straightforward. Got over 90s in both MTs, just read the textbook. The text is dense so make sure you don't cram if you cant take in info quickly. plus he added bonus marks to the second MT2. stop complaining
Lectures are useless, the textbook has a lot of unnecessary information. Know the textbook inside and out because he tests on every topic. Personally I did well on both but the preparation for it is unnecessarily rigorous. We don't even have our assignment mark and the final exam is tomorrow. Run and choose another prof.
zach is so unprofessional, disorganized, his lectures are always blurry to the point where he doesnt even know what they say, his exams are BRUTAL and not fair, and i emailed him 2x in the semester (once in the first week) and i never heard from anyone at all ever. He also uploads exam breakdowns about 2 days before the exam, which is not helpful
Got our final marks back and we still don't know the mark for an assignment worth 10%. He bellcurved the second midterm because the class average was around 55%. He bellcurved the final as well. It is possible to do well in this course but his disorganization and consistent lack of effort will make you suffer the entire semester. Avoid if you can.
This class is textbook heavy. A lot of the lecture slides are directly from the textbook. Watching lectures aren't necessary, but he does give a few hints on things you will definitely be tested on for exams. Not hard to do well in this course if you study from the textbook thoroughly.
straightforward. all of the info is in the textbook. If you don't prepare, you will do poorly. That's pretty much the standard for every course. He doesn't post stuff on time, but it's the grade that matters. He tests fair. You should get an A if you read the text. In fact he gives hints on the diagrams he might test on. Chill and intelligent guy.
Dr. Campbell's lectures were very interesting. He also seemed like he cared much about his work. However, he needs to improve his exams so they reflect the lecture material. He needs to provide more time for exams, we had 1hour to write 100MCQ and they were paragraphs long. He seems disconnected and uninterested in his students.
the reason i say that this class isnt mandatory for attendance is bc the prof himself doesnt show up to class until halfway thru the 2 hours. very disorganized, and his lectures are so full of unnecessary info that he has to create supplementary lectures to cover things that should have been taught in lecture... textbook is DENSE af ):
This professor appreciates lots of things. He likes to appreciate various pathways, he also appreciates membranes. Sometimes hell give you hints in class that you must appreciate. He is a very appreciative individual. Can we all just just take a moment and appreciate him? Thats all he really wants from you, so show him a little appreciation!
Honestly, if you have a class with him don't take it. The content on each midterm is posted through supplementary lectures which are posted only a few days before the exam. You don't know what content is tested on midterms till a few days before the exam. Within a few days you need to watch all supplementary lectures and learn the content.
Never take a course with this professor, he is unable to attend his own lectures, upload material or respond to emails on time. I'm surprised with the number of rumours you hear about him that he's still teaching. Awful experience.
Campbell is not fit to be a lecturer. I really do not know how it is possible that he is allowed to teach. I don't understand who approves of him to be a lecturer. I don't understand how anyone could allow this to go on. His lateness is not a good example to students. He is not responsible. He is not professional in his interaction with students.
Dr. Campbell was late for every lecture and then posted supplementary lectures 2-3 days before the midterm. Everything was bellcurved by 10% since we had next to no time to study. He is not accessible via email. His class is stressful because of his general lack of organization but the content isn't too hard if you've taken physiology or neuro.
Hands down the worst professor at UTSC. Extremely tardy with attendance, posting relevant course information, and replying to emails. Posted supplementary lectures with ridiculously heavy content just days before the midterm due to his poor organization. Also lectures in the most condescending, unnecessarily complicated way making the course awful.
b65: tests testbanks. he added diagrams to prevent us from getting perfect. c62: testbanks for the 2nd MT/final. I'll be honest. the lectures are useless-read the text. I'd rather get a "disorganized" prof and get two 4.0s than struggle w a supposedly "good prof". Study and get the mark you deserve, that goes for every course.
Clearly very knowledgeable on the topic but SUPER disorganized. This was the most stressful and overwhelming course I've ever taken! This prof uploads things super last minute, spends weeks on ONE chapter and still expects us to know the rest of material and chapters for the exams. We were basically left to teach OURSELVES the content. Ridiculous.
Knowledgeable but heavily disorganized. Will give 4 weeks of material 2-5 days before the midterms. Claims textbook is for reference, but you will end up reading the textbook. Most stressful course taken. Course material is interesting but he will make you hate it. Over 50% dropped out due to his lack of organizational skills.
I felt like this course was being taught by a ghost. Testable content on exams is never clear, so just study everything. The material itself is actually very interesting.
Challenging D-level course but ultimately practical. Professor Campbell taught us how to understand the literature via meta-analyses, presentations and debates. Probably the toughest course reason/writing, but it truly prepared me for graduate school and critical thinking, I miss undergrad!
Best transitional course to grad school and beyond. Professor Campbell taught my D33 course 8 years ago and made an immeasurable impact on my career.
The only U of T professor to challenge me and take the time to guide me to utilize my 4-year degree. Im now an occupational therapist helping neurological patients and wouldnt have found my spot without him
Professor Campbell seriously helped me understand complicated biochemistry so that it was tangible for this psychology/neuroscience student. I know employ this knowledge routinely as a neuropharmacological researcher. His special lectures from Drugs and the Brain are helpful if you can get a hold of them.
Very engaging
