Although the syllabus is a bit dry, he presents the course pretty clear. A very nice professor.

Excellent instructor. Had him last semester- tests were hard but gave reasonable final grade. Very pleasant to deal with unless one mistook his kindness as weakness.. he wouldn't show one he knew until... he was a lot sharper than he appeared to be.

I am a graduate of Wichita State in KS where Dr. Wong used to teach. He was truly an exceptional teacher and person. Since leaving KS, he maintains contact with many of us and continues to provide valuable guidance. It has been Grand knowing him.

He tries to be mean the first day of class but after that he is great. The lectures are a bit dry and straight off the powerpoint, but you wil learn a lot in the lab. As ong as you have some friends to work with and have fun with in lab, you will enjoy this class.

Pros: A very likable teacher despite his mean, cold and sometimes sarcastic behavior in class. Thats because he was a genuinely nice person so he wasn't very successful in disguising himself. He was very fair, treated all students fairly and I learned a lot in his class. Cons: Some tests were very hard and lectures were boring at times.

Wongz rocks!! At first he seems like he'd be TERRIBLE and u'd wish u weren't in his class...but trust me stick with him, it is worth it!! Just make sure you show up to class everytime and bring your materials. Wong is a cool dude!

Wong is a nice person, but can be mean sometimes. His lecture is boring but the lab is very easy. He is helpful and willing to help you if you approach him and show him your effort. Most of the time he is very kind and understanding, but sometimes it seems he couldn't care less. So don't take it for granted coz your grade is in his hand!!!!!!!!!!!

You would love to hate him at first but you could have a hard time trying to hate him at the end. He was more than fair in his final curve and an extremely nice guy who seem to enjoy acting like an irritant in class. He was quite the opposite of most SSU professors I've had. H.R.

If you just want to get by this class by getting a good grade take it from Wongz! Lectures are way boring, but labs are ok. He curves on the tests which is cool. Just one complaint, he wears too much Abercrombie and Fitch! WTF!

Good teacher. Class was once a week so it dragged on for a while. Tests were easy and the curve helps. Very little homework and he is very organized and helpful. take him if you get a chance

I failed 211 before taking Wongz's 211. I wish I had taken it with him from the start. All his tests were hard because 211 was hard stuff, but I still ended up with an A. I would take any class with him anytime.

Easy class where tests were all curved hugely everytime. Funny teacher with accent. Classes are long sometimes, but he said 85% of students get A's.

Wong is a really nice guy. All his notes are powerpoint, and you only have 4 tests, all of which are curved and open note. I got a 40/70 on most tests which was a A-/B+. He is very helpful and funny. Take him for 211 if you still need stats!

Wongz is surely the best instructor I have had. He is extremely knowledgeable but at the same time very understanding with students. He is very funny at times plus he is a not a student pleaser like others. BTW, I am a C student and I feel inspired by him.

When I saw his name on the summer offerings I knew the search was over. I took him. It was a fantastic experience.

He is an awesome teacher. i had his mon wednes class and we would learn the material one day, then the next day he would put probs on the board and when you finish you can leave. he uses the textbook for problems, and posts all his powerpoints. he also gives you a cheat sheet for the tests. he understands that we don't want to be in that class.

Best teacher ever!!!!! soooo funny!!! He teaches at night buy rarely keeps people the entire time! Very helpful and fun teacher buy challenging exams.

LOVED this teacher!! Made the class as fun as possible. Took the class at night and we never stayed until the end. You have to go to class because he tends to not follow the syllabus and switches things around. The first day he is very serious but opens up the next few classes. If you have to take a class and he is one of the teachers TAKE HIM!!

Prof Wong is great! Theres not a ton of homework. But make sure you do it cause it will lead to an easy A. Tests are difficult, with an uncessary amount of vocab on them. He does dramatically curve the tests tho. Overall Wong made the class fun.

Took over summer. Easiest class at SSU! 3 or 4 class meetings only for 1 1/2 hours or so. We copied exactly what he did onto our computer and gave him the flash drive on the last day. Take him! Easy A

Easy class, but it's annoying because he clearly does not care for this subject. And since the professor doesn't care about the subject, that makes it harder for the students to care as well. I came to school to be inspired to learn, not get free A's just because the professor doesn't care enough to teach substance.

Professor Wong is totally awesome. I didn't do well once before with another professor. I had also sat in stats/math classes taught by other professors. Professor Wong's lectures are the best, easy to follow and make great sense. I felt inspired throughout. Several students applauded at his last day of class. TAKE HIM!!!

Had his online class during winter. Text was a much compressed version of what he used in regular semesters. Assignments were short, easy and didn't require use of the text. Test was multiple choice and we had more than a week to complete the easy test. I wish he had taught more online courses because his was the best online class I had taken.

Had his business stats and information systems classes. Even though there were lots of assignments in every meeting, he was a fantastic teacher who did not waste much of our time. He doesn't take students for a walk in the park like most instructors do. He is outstanding if you want to learn useful stuffs without any struggles and a very reachable A grade. Make getting into all, yes I do mean all, of his classes a first priority. I got an A even though I did not think I was anywhere close.

Pretty easy class. No homework, just in class assignments that you get credit for just doing. Get to bring a cheat sheet front and back for tests. The tests were kind of difficult but he curved them and I somehow got an A in the course when I averaged Cs and Bs on the three tests. His power points are easy to understand. Very clear and structured.

I thought he was an amazing teacher when I took his stats class and so jumped into his online 319 over summer. It turned out to be the best class ever. Like a few posters said, register for all his classes when you see his name. He does not teach many classes and sometimes he takes semesters off.

Friends say he is a clear choice but he doesn't teach many classes and surely doesn't teach 319 often. So, I jumped in when I saw his name for summer online 319. All his assignments and a test were intelligent but quite painless to complete. I tried finding flaws with his class and there really was not any. If best is an A, I rate him A++.

I've never written comments for any professors here but Wong definitely deserves my time in writing him one. I took 2 classes from him. Even though both were really great, the online one was much better. His classes were very easy and everyone I know loves how he did his online classes especially. You will be more than glad in taking his classes.

This was the best stats class. He didn't make you memorize the material, he made you apply it. I would recommend this class to every business major. Super easy, show up and pass.

SUPER CHILL! I won't give away everything, but just know if you take this class you will easily pass ... I'd definitely take another one of his classes ... if you know someone taking the class with you just share the book, you only use it in class

This class was an easy A. All of the homework was completed in class, and although I failed the first midterm I still managed to get an A. I actually got to learn a lot from his class also. I highly recommend this class.

Assignments and tests were all straightforward, mostly painless and I googled for answers on most of them. When it comes to online classes Wong's absolutely the man and he is a fantastic grader. Ask friends who have taken him online. I have taken other online classes and none that can be compared to his online Stats or MIS classes.

He is extremely willing to help and lets you out early almost every class. Only two tests in class the last one is a take home test and you can have a piece of paper during the test FRONT AND BACK. He curves the tests and there is no final. You only do work in the class no homework.

I took this class online becos it was a required prebusiness and was pleasantly surprised that it was also a GE B4. GE B4 or prebus, it was super smooth and easy. Professor Wong is awesome. You will have lots of time for assignments and a test all given weeks ahead of deadline. This class has got to be the best kept SSU secret. Thx prof. Wong.

Its true that I care about getting A's, who doesn't? But, Professor Wong makes taking an online class an amazing experience. I am so very pleased with his style, his written notes and everything that I can't wait to take another online class from him.

Show up to class and you got an A. He teaches well and really wants everyone to pass. Will try his hardest to help your GPA.

I was skeptical about online classes at first till I took Wong's online BUS 211. His notes and instructions were so very clear and easy to follow that the class was a breeze. I also ended up taking his online BUS 319 at first chance and was totally pleased. Super super nice grader too.

He has been my favorite professor for being really easy to understand and a caring grader. Its very unfortunate that statistics and MIS seem to be the only classes he teaches here.

Professor Wong is hilarious and well respected. I took a four hour night class with him and we usually always got out early. Some weeks we would have take home tests and other weeks we wouldn't have class, just online homework. Tests were harder, but going to office hours helped.

SSU needs more professors like Dr. Wong. Can't imagine how much better he can be if he teaches more interesting courses. I think he said he was prevented from teaching other courses when students asked. After taking his business stats I did not hesitate taking another course with him. I like the fact that he is totally sensible and super fair.

Really liked his moodle assignments. He used them to replace a couple of tests due to the fires.

I wasn't a business major and so enrolled originally in professor Wong's business stats class for GE b4 credit. I was glad I did and switched to business after taking him. A really cool and practical guy. I see why he is a favorite to many people.

Exceptionally clear in instructions, took one-on-one interest in a class, gave a good extension to submit assignments when i had family issues and needed to be away, final grade was based mostly on very sensible and manageable assignments. Taking his well designed online class was the best thing I did this summer.

Here's my favorite and the best summer instructor of all time. I would take anything he teaches. Not only my opinion but the opinion of everyone I know who took his class.

Super easy. Had him Wednesdays at night once a week, after the first few weeks we would only meet every other week and had to do an extremely basic online assignment to take with us next class. Don't need a textbook. 1 group project. 2/3 tests were take-home. If you want an easy math class, take this one.

He was a great teacher and is really well respected. That being said, it was his first time teaching data analytics so he had a decent amount of errors in his presentations that make it confusing to follow at times. I believe by his next class, this will be sorted out though, making him a 5/5. Super easy, great teacher to take for an A.

Hard to understand but good. Every class theres assignment due from in class easy to do. Also all the assignments are what make up the test so as long as you study them you will pass.

Super cool instructor in every way. Took his BUS 211, BUS 319 and BUS 320. Even though he is already great as an in-class teacher, his online classes are a lot better. Everyone who took him loves his style. I being hard to please, am not an exception.

Prof Wong is a good professor who really cares about the benefits of his students. He sets his material, classwork, homework, and tests up in a way where he is available to walk you through all problems. Tests we were able to use a cheat sheet, and the last two tests were take home.

Professor Wong is the best professor I had so far at Sonoma State University . I am always participating and laughing in his class, and his assignments are a piece of cake. Also has a final exam that is open book, note, and Internet. Also, he lightens the mood of the class. All in all an outstanding professor and if I can write more I would.

One of the best professors at Sonoma State, this guy made it a blast to be there even though it was a night class from 6-9:40 once a week. We were released by 8 at the very latest every class. Take him if you want an easy way to understand Stats while getting an A just as easy

This class was super easy in my opinion, and Zachary Wong does the best he can to teach this class. Although I feel like everything was handed to me (because of the fire), I still had a great experience with this professor and class. I took his night class (6-9:40), and he lets out out no later than 8. Such an amazing professor and will take again.

Understanding students and helping students succeed are his nature. His assignments are so well written, and I am not kidding, they really help in learning much more than when studying for a test. When he asked the class at start of the semester how many had taken him before, more than half raised their hands. Need I say more?

Best Business professor at SSU no doubt. he teaches BUS 316, 319, and 320 and I highly recommend you take them with him. I did the Monday 6:00 - 9:40 class and he let us out early every class. Its only 8-10 assignments and 2 - 3 tests of which the final is online. Don't sleep on Prof Wong, he's the best. Trust me

It is even more obvious in this pandemic why Zachary Wong is the best professor like many mentioned below. Theres a rumor that he is retiring soon. But, I hope not because I want to take every class he teaches. The business school will be very different without him.

With semester split between in-class and online due to covid, Wong, unlike all my other professors, was truly amazing throughout. So many want to take him and return to taking him again even though there are other instructors to choose from. It's an easy A but you will learn a lot with his unique assignments. Tests are totally reasonable as well.

Dr. Wong is a true gem. I took 211, 316 and am just done with online 319 with him. I will be taking his 320 next. A very unique style about him that makes learning experience of hard subjects really pleasant and satisfying.

Zachary Wong is an absolutely brilliant professor. I hardly opened any of the two texts because he always included super helpful notes with his assignments. BUS 320 was my third class with him. To take him its totally necessary to register early.

I took two classes with Zachary Wong and this one will not be the last. Quite an incredibly well organized professor and he surely knows how to write everything super nicely and clearly for students to follow. Because of his style, I practically aced his classes PAINLESSLY and you will too.

Unquestionably the best SSU professor not only during the pandemic but in all my three years at SSU. He is so easy to follow and a wonderful and understanding teacher. At this point, I have already taken all courses that he teaches and aced them all. So, let me say this. You'd definitely be silly if you pass him over.

Painless! Dr. Wong is a totally cool professor who knows how to run his classes. I learn much more in his classes than with other professors without having to struggle or feel confused.

Just completed his summer BUS319 and got an A. The most satisfying A grades I received in SSU came from three of Professor Wong's classes. Great assignments, tests and surely an unbeatable instructor when it comes to online. Thank you Professor Wong. You are the best!!

I made big mistakes that would surely lower my grade but Dr. Wong was really kind and wrote to me asking to correct them. He has a unique teaching style, a great personality and getting an A is easy because he truly cares.

Dr. Wong is an easy professor and yet I learned a lot more from him than tough professors. Be sure to read his assignments thoroughly. There are not many of them. A professor definitely not to be missed if I want good GPAs.

Zachary Wong is extremely nice. He gave me opportunities to resubmit assignments I did not do well in order to bring me to a very comfortable A throughout. His class assignments and test were all very manageable and the class was unquestionably the best of all online classes that I have taken since the pandemic. I will take him again for sure.

Professor Wong's courses are organized well for online and he even urged students to help him help them get an A. Students do appreciate tremendously when things are run really well with assignments and test that are easy to follow and a breeze to ace. I am glad I took 316 and 320 with him this Fall. He was all wonderful.

Zachary Wong is by far the best online professor at SSU. Very chill professor. All assignments were easily accessible and were offline (Microsoft Word). Makes each lesson good and not so stressful. This class was not overwhelming and enjoyed being in his class. Hopefully I would be able to take him later on in the near future.

I took Professor Wong's BUS 211 business stats last semester due to his great ratings here and I saw why he was very well liked by his students. So jumped on the chance to take him again in the summer. I had a wonderful time with him in both and will definitely take him again anytime in the future. PLEASE TEACH MORE CLASSES, PROFESSOR WONG!

He went all out to make sure students ace everything and there were only a few. He was exceptionally easy, consistent, very cool and caring in all classes I took from him. Just follow his directions closely and he is very very clear, an A will be right there waiting for you.

This class was "in person" but only met three times towards the end of the semester. The three in-class assignments were 10% of the grade, eight online assignments were 70%, and one final research paper was 20%. Dr. Wong cared about effort, so show up to class, turn in all the assignments to your best ability, and you will easily get a good grade.

He is very organized, understanding and made the difficult class a breeze. Best class and professor I've ever taken in college. His style is amazing and he really makes an impact. Several students asked to shake his hand after the final class meeting. Definitely the GOAT and totally worth taking with.

Easy A if you just show up to class and do the 1 or 2 tests and 1 signature assignment (which is with a group anyways). he's also funny and makes lectures interesting and usually short

Outstanding! Professor Wong was an amazing teacher and was always very helpful whenever I had any questions. He is the best teacher I've had in my college career. Students in the class do not want him to retire too soon because everyone hopes to have him again. But we in the DCP program do not get to choose the instructors which is very sad.

There is nothing that can be picked on against Zachary Wong. He is also different from other BUS professors in all the good ways.
