I struggled a bit to get in sync with the professor, but he warms up quick. Makes you work for knowledge and understanding. There are no instant giveaways and makes you work through the course, he simply does not give you the answer as many other professors would.
Between the professor and the assignments I actually learned something. You need to do the work and pay attention and if you do you will pass. The professor is understanding and helpful if you ask.
He is a great Professor, I have taken two of his math classes and he could explain how to make a student understand the problem. Very fair grader if you don't do the homework, or show up to class it will make a difference in you grade.
Helpful and understanding profrssor when you ask for help. Explains concepts and lessons well.
Mr. Neubeck is a good choice if you struggle in math. The class is fast paced, so there is a lot of homework. Homework and quizzes are evenly weighted, and the midterm takes up 30%. The projects are pretty tough, but as long as you do the work you will be fine. He is always up for answering questions, and his lecture style is not completely boring.
If you didn't understand homework from the night before , he usually goes over it during class and encourages students to ask questions. The class is mainly teach yourself but honestly I've never been so good at math before when the teacher teaches it in front of the whole class. Would take again, class was fun and easy if you opened your eyes.

I learned to pay attention in class more. You got to have to bring your own calculator.
FAIR AND I LIKE THE FACT THAT EVERY ASSIGNMENT IS ALREADY SCHEDULED ON CALENDAR. DIRECT AND TO THE POINT
Professor Neubeck is a fair teacher and will give the grade that you have earned. Students are able to learn at their own pace because all homework is posted on his calendar weeks ahead. His lectures are long but his humor keeps you interested.
As someone who has struggled with math my entire life, I found Mr. Neubeck's class to be refreshing and easy to follow. After a five year gap, I feared I would be stressed, confused, and lost. He certainly made the transition simple. I was pleasantly surprised to excel in this class and look forward to taking Mr. Neubeck for MAT121 next semester!
He made it easy to understand. Answered any questions about any material. Pretty cool professor. Would take his class again.
He's a really good math teacher. Knows how to explain math problems clear and simple. Very organized which is very appreciated. Also made class very funny at times!
Fair. Straight forward
Answers all questions, very helpful & constructive feedback.
Good guy, some people take his jokes too seriously. Really knows his stuff, easy to talk too. his lectures are a little to fast sometimes, but he will go over it again if you need to. Solid choice you can't go wrong!
Pretty easy class, could be a jerk sometimes when you dont know the answer when he calls on you thats about it.
I beleive that my professor is very passionate in what he does. Everyday we do math assigments and he teaches us something new. He can be tough but it helps you push yourself to become successful in his class.
Very good teacher if you want someone that's to the point of how to do certain subjects. Helped us when we needed the help but most of the time pretty laid back.
He's a teacher I think would be good if you have a problem with math, and he's someone that understand, and try to accommodate you as well to see how you're getting your answer then makes you work to get the correct answer.
skip class wont pass, you have to have tough skin to pass in this class. He won't baby you so if you have a question your going to have to speak up. As long as you you communicate about what's going you'll be fine.
Overall he is a good teacher once you get to know him, he may come off harsh but that is just the kinda person he is.
great professor easy class.
Good professor average class.
Really good teacher. I struggle with math and Mr. Neubeck is super helpful. Need to pay attention while doing media lessons as well as lectures. He helps you understand and will go over things that people are struggling on. Super funny which really helps.
I enjoyed my time in his class and he was a good teacher, that helped every student understand the concept.
Good professor, helps when extra help is needed.
He sometimes can lack breaking down certain criteria.
Pretty straight forward, a lot of online work, make sure to look at all the media lessons prior to class
Mr. Neubeck is a solid instructor that teaches his class lessons in more than one way if people have learned things differently. He is easy to get along with, just show up on time and pay attention in class. Final is 30% of your grade.
Pretty easy relax teacher, would take class again.
The media lessons corresponding to the class are very important to do because he doesn't go over the entire lesson in class. He'll give out worksheets and go over examples so if you don't do the media lessons you will be lost.
Professor Neubeck made participating in the class actually enjoyable instead of dreading it. He made me want to actually speak up even if I wasnt so sure of my answer. Easy to get along and makes class funny so time goes by quickly. I would take his class again!
Professor Neubeck makes math look easy but dont forget to do the media lesson or youll be lost. Hes hilarious and takes attendance seriously. I would take his class again.
Really good teacher, gets straight to the point.
Great professor! He makes math easy and fun. Just make sure you keep up with doing your media lessons and show up to class and you should have no issues! I would take his class again.
Mr Nuebecks class was pretty easy. Don't forget to do homework. If you don't forget to do the homework (media lessons) the course will be a breeze. The instructor was easy to work with when asked questions so don't be afraid to ask.
Great professor! Super easy to get along with and funny. Might pick on you in class but it's only to make sure you understand what he is teaching. Make sure you keep up with media lessons and homework (both online) and show up to class and you should pass with no problem. Would have him as my professor again.
Very good examples when teaching
Great Teacher, it helps to watch the video lessons prior to coming to the class. Hes helpful if you have a question, he will answer it , although he may make you work for the answer , it definitely will help in the long run.
Watch the video lessons before the class starts, it will give a better idea of what the lesson will be about that day. Also, watch the calendar, he tends to switch things up often with/or without telling you.
Attendance is important for this class. It is also important to be on top of your work since there is a lot of homework and video lessons each week. This professor is not perfect at demonstrating the work but he tries.
He's a great teach always available when needed, response to messages are fast and he answers with a clear message.
hes nice
Cool teacher. Just don't forget to do your homework.
Make sure you watch the videos before class to understand . If your taking a fast track make sure you dont miss any days because what he will drop you . Over all he's very understanding and funny.
Mr N. set my standards high for all the other professors on campus because he is an amazing teacher that is caring, kind, and a problem solver. He never gives up on a student even if they give up on themselves. I will recommend this teacher to my fellow classmates because he really is outstanding in every teaching aspect.
Recommend to anyone. He's a good teacher.
As long as you watch the lesson videos before class you should be fine. Attendance is important to him if you dont show up you will be dropped. communication is key.
he is such a good teacher always tries to give you a second way to do your work so you can chose the easiest one. you always have to show up if not you will be dropped so be careful with attendance. after all he is a good teacher and i will definitely will take him next semester.
Very good, funny, and simple. As long as you watch the videos before class you will have no issues. He also has other strategies for certain types of problems that make math much easier! Would highly recommend!
His class is organized and his exceptions are reasonable. He provides a schedule which shows you the work you are supposed to do and none of the homework is hard--they each have a video lesson to guide you. If it is still hard, however, then he will provide alternative ways to do it. For reason, his lectures are immensely helpful.
I had this professor for 091 and 121. He can show you different way to do a problem but sometimes it can be confusing.
Instructor made the material easy to understand. He also made a 3 hour math lectures seem short which is tough to do.
Great professor
He is a great professor he somewhat cares about the student's success, he's great to talk to and overrall has a great method of teaching.
Great teacher
Overall a great teacher, and a easy class as long as you do your part as the student (Watching the videos before coming to class, keeping up with your notes, and doing your homework)
-Seems like a good guy outside of class but is probably the worst math teacher i've ever had -unorganied in the way he teaches the material and can lose patience easily -maybe it's because he teaches high school as well so I understand -just wasn't the professor for me -good guy though!
Mr. Neubeck is one of my best professor and i mean this only because he is very helpful. Obviously as you climb higher in any college course it is going to be more difficult thats a given, but Mr. Neubeck does accomodate and helps wherever he sees fit.
Very helpful when it comes to questions. He is a solid professor.
He shows you an easier way of solving problems. Work smart not harder!
thanks for a great semester
Mr Nuebeck is a good teacher is very helpful will make sure everyone understands material On the flipside he seems to get frustrated really quick when students don't answer The classwork is bearable everything is online but make sure to watch the video lesson before class it will make things easier
Gets irritated easily if you ask for help.
Overall a great teacher. Most of the material is learned through videos outside of class, but he reviews and simplified them during the lectures. The whole lecture was basically going over problems similar to what you might find on the homework.
Available when you need help, goes over concepts well and has a good attitude.
He sets up the class in a way that gives you a plethora of resources to understand the material. I appreciate that.
To me, the professor seemed to not enjoy his job. He would answer his phone during class and continue talking to the caller for 5+ minutes. He was very sarcastic and rude to the students.
I honestly did enjoy this class. Although the material can get tough at times, professor Neubeck helped with any questions and/or concerns we might of had and clarified the material much more. He is simple and gets to the point of things which is great!
Professor does a great job of showing you easier ways to complete problems on your calculator. His motto is, "Work smarter, not harder." He definitely saved me a ton of time on problems! As long as you show up and do the work, you'll pass the class. He's always willing to help and is very understanding and flexible with grading.
Professor Zane cares about all of his students understanding the material and makes himself available in the event someone needs help. He is also strategical and really knows his stuff...I truly enjoyed his class.
Professor Neubeck is a respected teacher he is serious and knowledgeable. I learned some math shortcuts even though I am not a math person. I think this Professor really cares about his students and their learning. Do not be afraid of taking him you will be fine, just do all the assignments and tests.
This professor is clearly knowledgable with mathematics; however, he's not the best teacher. When any students ask questions or demonstrates a lack of understanding, he puts on this tone of voice that literally makes you feel stupid for asking a question. He sounds like he'd rather be doing anything but teaching people mathematics.
Professor is all over the place, he doesnt update canvas so you have no idea if there is any changes or what your grade is. Wont reply to emails and if you ask him about it he just says he didnt see it. You cant ask a question without him catching an attitude. He says lectures are not mandatory and yet will give homework through them. Avoid him
He is clearly smart in mathematics. However, he hardly goes over any of the material and will literally make you feel stupid for asking any questions! Avoid him!!!!
I took his class online but he would always start late and when doing examples he would make many mistakes which in math, it is difficult to follow along as it is. Was not prepared going into classes in the evenings. Would say one thing about tests and take points off if you followed his directions and he's aggressive. Would not take again.
I chose his class because he had good reviews and I regret it. Very hard to access outside class; I emailed him multiple times and got no response. He's super condescending and treats students like children when they don't understand something. On top of that, his teaching style is confusing. I only got by because I'm good at math naturally.
I am still in HS, thats why I have an A. Don't take him if your new. He does not do a very good job at explaining topics, tends to do too much mental math for students to keep up, and if you ask too many questions he gets mad or makes you feel stupid. If you get 100% attendance, you get your lowest test grade dropped (not including final).
I think the class could be a lot more better if the teacher put in more effort in actually manually working out problems rather than doing mental math and saying numbers out-loud. Neubeck is a well educated professor its just his attitude and the way he makes students feel belittled doesnt justify his character will not take again if I can avoid!
This class was like any other math class I've taken, some parts were easy and others were difficult. The professor was able to show the class shortcuts through certain problems and units and gave feedback on questions that were asked. The only thing, this class needs time to complete the assignments if you struggle/are in a disruptive environment.
I would recommend this professor to other students since he is a caring professor. Although, I will point out somethings he need to improve on. Such as not fully explaining his lectures I think if he provided step-by-step explainitions on how to do problems it will make his lectures a lot easier. He is not a heavy grader and provides extra credit
Taking this class was an amazing experience. The class was definitely a challenge to earn the best grade. The lectures were very easy to follow along and if there was any confusion throughout lectures, there was a very in-depth explanation on how and why that this is the correct answer. Would definitely have the same professor again in the future
Class set up: watch the online lecture, go over HW problems in class, tests were taken at home, gives a chance at half-credit for incorrect answers. Beware his sense of humor is sarcasm if you need a lot of encouragement, and "good job!" this is not the professor for you. He does come off a bit rude if you ask questions regarding the material.
He expected us to know everything and wasn't patient with some of the students. I feel he didn't understand that people are slower learners than other people.
This teachers has made if very hard for students to get a good grade. He is very sketchy and will cancel class 30 mins before class starts. He doesn't really teach then will give us a test that half of the class has no idea on what is going on. He has also ended class early 80 percent of the time. He has showed us he just doesn't care.
He doesn't care about his students . He is a laidback teacher but it doesnt help because the students don't learn and doesnt provide examples. The tests are hard& are hardly related to what he "taught" the class. He takes long to grade, does not provide feedback at all. he's hard to reach outside of class hours. and likes to watch sports in class.
He doesn't care about students. He puts up a question on the board and even if just one person gives the correct answer he moves on and does not ask the entire class if they understood. he watches sports in class as well. Gave a test on something he did not go over in class. Cancels class with only 10 to 20 minutes' notice. makes sexist jokes.
Really good tra
I have seen this professor out of his chair maybe once and it was to heat up his food. All he does is assign work that he doesn't explain, eat ,and watching sports. He does not even have the decency to wear headphones he blasts it on his computer. The only time he does address students is when he wants to leave feedback that isn't even helpful.
If you'd like to have a professor who eats at his desk all day, melts down when asked questions about his lectures, and lets class out 50 mins early every class, this is your guy. The most abrasive personality I've seen from a teacher.
