He's not hard, I just can't understand him
hes so cute but you cant understand him or his notes
He is a really nice person but he teaches a hardest course.
He goes sooooo fast, but he's really nice and shells out alot of jokes
i think he is santa claus in his spare time

Funny jokes, even funnier when 99% of his class dont get them. Covers good examples and hes a good teacher overall, might have some problems understanding his writing at times.

Great prof
KOvaric was my first year algebra prof and oh my godddd! he was boring like hell. But he did try his best and tried to be a good teacher. Easy tests and exam. Sometimes you can see him on the HSR bus, he gets off near downtown.

Dr. Kovarik is the most helpful and one of the most intelligent math professors at mcmaster university. He teaches a wide variety of courses at various levels and knows his stuff upside down in everything. His final exams are a bit tough

Hard to understand...I took the course in the summer, and I found his teaching style reflected an "upgrade course" style. Flew through the material rather quickly as well because he mostly did examples...I found myself having to go back and teach myself. He does care however, and makes every effort to have fair tests.

Cutest professor ever. Fair tests, HARD exam. If you don't go to class, you'll find his final very hard. Especially the multiple choice questions on his exams are tough.

He's probably different in the summer... but during the year.... let's just say the class started off with over 200 people, and by the end, i'm not even sure there were even 2 people left. But i feel sorry for him cause he really does try, and he kinda cute - he looks like santa claus.. lol! And his jokes are pretty dumb, which makes them funny.
He is kind, caring professor, has big heart. Gave us good sample final exam. TA Jason Haradyn very helpful and always eager to provide extra help. One of the best teachers ever had

Greatest teacher I have ever had
A great professor no doubt, but more than that an exceptional sweet human being. The multiple choice on his tests are a little tough though.
He is the most angel prof I have ever met. I am so glad I took his course. He is polite, reasonable, and writes fair tests. He's the man.
He was great. His tests and quizzes were totally fair. If you did the homework carefully you would have no problem in them.

EXCELLLENT PROFESSOR
Nice guy, knows a lot, but can't teach. Seems to like the most complicated way of explanation. It should be pretty telling that every class I've had him for, the average was fairly low.
This prof skips steps, talks to the board as well as expects you to already know all the material before teaching! He seems to be very condescending. But he DOES seem to love the subject?

Bad teaching, his handwriting is not good, no interaction with the class, lectures all over the blackboard leaving you confused as to what's going on, and very hard tests. Test questions different from homework problems, MUCH TOUGHER IN FACT
It's impossible to get anything out of his lectures. He's all over the place keeping you confused. Then people get incredibly low marks on tests.
I love the way he say "PAADON"....for "Pardon" it sounds like "Paadan" beautiful voice but the test questions are nasty.

In all seriousness, this guy is the worst prof. His tests are ridiculously hard, 1 multiple choice worth 5 marks, he often puts questions that weren't covered in detail in class. His evaluation style is weird. He seems like a nice guy, but his teaching is unclear, and his tests are kind of stupid. He does maintain a good diary of events on the web.

Goes too fast, and his lectures leave you confused
I knew after the first lecture I would never attend his lectures again. I've had him 3 times, and I think the reason I did well is because I didn't attend. Besides, who walks around campus in a safari hat and suspenders ?
Bad prof. poor testing. His multiple choice are tough. Avoid this professor otherwise you will regret it. He does not give good marks!
Best professor I have ever had. He is very nice when u see him during office hour and he is welcoming and helpful.

I enjoyed his class thoroughly. Great guy, sweet sense of humour. Genius when it comes to multiple choice tests. Had to remind him when our tests were, but overall his "recipes" made calculus easy!

This horrible prof should be fired from MCMaster. He is so unfair. His teaching style is "Talk to the blackboard", he has major Issues!!! There are rumours circulating he is teaching Math 3C03 next year, save yourself the Agony, DONOT register in any of his courses. Taking his courses will be your biggest nightmare.
He is the best professor I have seen in first year engineering. His explainations are very good and his teaching style is remarkable.

He is the worst PROF EVER!! If he does not want to help a student, he will not answer your email even. He is so rude that he even ignores people's emails sometimes. He needs to have the courtesy that if someone emailed him, atleast he should answer back. His teaching is unclear and his tests and exams are very very hard. Good luck if you have him.

Though a tad bit difficult to follow at times, he is a great prof, and what makes him great is his willingness to help the students. A lot of professors don't care about the questions their students ask, but he really is willing to answer any question. I thought his tests are very fair, and people only complain because they don't wanna do the work.
Dr. Kovarik is a decent teacher with a very calm and kind demeanor. His tests were fair (not too easy or hard). Was not perfectly clear when teaching some concepts, but with supplemental textbook reading, class notes were useful.
Professor Kovarik is the greatest prof. He puts his time, mind and soul into teaching and really cares about his students. He made Mathematics fun for me and I am greatly thankful to him forever and always.
