Professor Redeaux is easily one of the best professors I have had in college. Her curriculum is straight-forward, and she has a unique way of teaching. She doesn't give out of class assignments other than essays. Do well on the essays and you'll get a good grade.

Ms. Z was a really great teacher for me, wasn't originally supposed to teach the class but I'm really glad the other professor backed out! She had a GREAT personality, kept everything super real, and she really helped me concrete my English skills. I thought she was going to be too tough for me, but she reached out to those who reached out to her.

Ms. Z is just great. Love her teaching methods and strategies. Very clear about material being presented. She genuinely cares and wants you to pass. She is good at engaging students. Easy class if you do the work and put in the effort. Never discourages the students. She has a great sense of humor and gets along with the students!

Mrs. Redeaux is one of the best teacher's that I've ever had. She is very compassionate, understanding & motivational. She gives great feedback & teaches you ways to improve your writing skills. Her lectures are amazing & she pays great attention to detail. But most of all she always gives us that extra push that we need in order to succeed.

When I had Ms.Z she really got into the literature we were reading and it shows. Shes super passionate about English and it makes me fell like I should go become a writer. Aside from that shes pleasant, but also has a tough curriculum in store for those taking literature. Get ready to do a lot of higher level reading and writing.

Ms. Z is a great professor, and she always gives us support and assistance with our assignments when we ask for it. She makes sure your assignments are as good as they can be before you submit them for credit, and you have more than enough time to ask for help before it's due. Ms. Z is easily the best professor that I've ever had. She keeps the class engaged and her grading criteria is crystal clear. Most readings are in class and for each essay she hands out a list of literary devices to help give your essay more depth and less fluff. By taking Ms. Z's ENGL2 class I became a better writer and a more analytical reader.

Definitely one of the best professors I have ever had in my near 20 year college career. I have run into trouble in the past academically. I loathed going to school. After the first few meetings with Ms. Z's class, I was excited on school days and looked forward to waking up early for her 8am class. I wish I could have her again as a professor.

I could of had an A, but it was my fault for not showing up a couple of times and not being able to do the in class assignments. I must say that this has been by far the best english class I have ever taken. Ms. Z made english fun and interesting. I feel as if I finally understand how to write a proper paper and not just slap something together.

She's very cool and everything in class really develops your writing. I enjoyed every class.

No other professor takes the time to do that.

I loved her class and I was actually sad to see it end. It was my first English class I ever did well in. She really cares about her students and wants to see them succeed. Just do the readings, show up, and do the papers and you will do fine.

Fun demeanor, great attitude, passionate about her subject and having her students succeed! I really disliked English before taking this professor, she will match the students effort to help them succeed. She can be tuff when her students are not trying, very captivating instructor in class. I would recommend this professor for English.

Ms. Z is a phenomenal instructor who sets her students up for success. This is not the type of class you can randomly show up for. Each class period provides critical information that is key to the assignments. She is really funny with a ball-busting sense of humor. Show up, pay attention, and ask for office hours when you need help.

Although the class had an in person lecture, Ms. Z also includes online usage on canvas. There is no homework other than assigned essays. Make sure to show up to class to earn in-class assignment points. Also, Ms. Z offers extra credit assignments and even drops the grade if it is too low as it will negatively affect your overall grade.

Seem intimidating at first but stay with her because she's a good teacher. She's not playing about deadlines so make sure everything is on time, preferably early. As long as you turn everything in and make sure you put everything in MLA format you will get a good grade. She's not a touch grader.

I believe she really loves her job and thats extremely important I have taken English classes before and couldnt connect with the teachers and they were boring.i feel thee topics she choose were update and realistic which made it easier.i will definitely take her again

One of the best teachers I have crossed paths with! She is amazing! Takes pride in what she does. Actually cares about her students. Participation and attendance mandatory. Work load average to heavy (depending). Provides handouts, notes- everything to be successful in her class. If you dont pass, it is only because you got lazy! She is wonderful!

I took English 002 with her. This class is literature based, so there was a lot of reading. I will say the class was a little essay heavy (5 total). She's great once you get to know her, but she can have a rough exterior sometimes and will randomly get mad over little things. Don't touch your phone and answer questions she asks to the whole class.

Mrs. Zs class was tough but she was there to help! I never received anything higher than a B in English before, but scheduling 1:1 sessions with Mrs. Z raised my grade from a low C to a high B.

If you don't pass Ms. Z's class, you didn't follow her instructions, listen to her audios, or read all the materials she provides during the semester. At first I thought I could ignore her emails and announcements but immediately found out they contained information that helped me write solid papers.

Ms. Z is an excellent professor. She is passionate about teaching and wants her students to do well. If she seems tough, its because she provides a lot of information that some people just dont read. I was actually getting annoyed with them myself. Hope I can take another class with her in the future.

I failed Ms. Z's English 1 class the first time I took it and at first I blamed her. When I took her again, I realized I failed because I didn't listen to her or read the materials she provided. She also sent me messages asking me to schedule time with her and I didn't. When you listen, her class isn't that difficult and she's there to help you.

Today, I told this instructor I had to stop participating in her class because I have COVID. She sent me her home phone number and told me what I needed to do to file for an excused withdrawal or an incomplete. She knew I was working hard and didnt want to see me get a low grade. I am still crying. Professor Z is the best.

I couldn't have asked for a better teacher during my first semester at Solano. I appreciate Ms. Z for all that she has done for me and others in the class. I hope to take English 02 with her in the spring.

Prof. Z said she's tough because she doesn't believe community colleges are inferior to four-year-colleges and that after one semester with her you'll be able to write a strong paper for any class. The skills I learned in Prof. Z's class enabled me to compete and succeed at a 4-year-college. I am about to graduate from Berkeley with a 4.0.

Miss Z is a kind and caring instructor. I got really sick last semester and she went out of her way to help me keep my B average. With her help, I am graduating this semester and starting my nursing program in the summer.

I really enjoyed Miss Z's class. My only complaint was the book was a little hard to find, but she heard our complaints and is going to use a new book in the future. She actually listened to us.

Just found out Mrs. Z is taking a break from teaching. I loved her tough but loving teaching style. I recently graduated from Davis, and I used everything she taught me in my classes. Hopefully, her break will be short.

I took Professor Z online and honestly, as long as you watch the videos and follow instructions, you're guaranteed success. Professor Z is very understanding and kind, and any time effort was made on assignments, she made sure to give extra credit; I ended the class with a 109%! Also, all of the readings she assigns can be found for free online.

I took Professor Zenobia online and all her lectures are amazing, they come out usually on Mondays and if you had any questions you could comment under the video and she would respond within the hour. She is understanding and caring for her students and listens to what they have to say so she can be a better professor for herself and her students.

Amazing professor. There was a lot of essays but she walked you through each one. Explained exactly what she was looking for and showed examples. Gave a lot of extra credit for discussion posts that were lengthy! I absolutely love her.
