Best teacher ever. Very funny little man. Attendence isnt necessary but should attend to understand. Tells you what is on quiz and tests. Very helpful. Drops lowest test, 2 lowest quiz and 2 lowest homeworks. Offers to stay till midnight to sudy if you need. You will have to try to fail, yet you learn a lot!
he is very helpful and explains things until you understand. little studying is needed for tests and quizzes. if you understand what he does in class you'll understand the tests. he tells you exactly what is on the tests and quizzes so that is very helpful. he drops two lowest homeworks, two lowest quizzes, and lowest exam. over all he is a very go
Prof. Han is the best math teacher I have ever had. He tells you what's going to be on the quizzes, and he drops the two lowest quizzes and drops one of the exams. He is always available during office hours and is willing to work with you until you understand everything. Highly Recommmended! Take him, you won't regret it!
Zhigang is a great teacher, sometimes he confused himself by not understanding a students question but he extends office hours before all his exams and quizzes. He tells you whats on the quizzes, gives you a study guide for exams and drops lowest homework and quiz grades. Last semester he dropped the lower test grade
He's a great professor. Minor accent, but really tries to help you every chance he can. Exams are decent, not to hard, not to easy. I highly recommend him!! He's also funny at times.
AMAZING teacher!!!! If you don't understand it in class, you will in his office. He's really good at teaching students one on one, and really enjoys teaching. Exams are decent, and problem sets really help. Great guy, and you'd be a FOOL not to take his class!!!!
He is a great proffesor, very helpful and he is easy to understand in class. if you dont understand just go to his office hours and he is more than happy to help. math can be hard but he makes it very managable
Best math teacher I have ever had. He has great office hours, tests are very fair, no harder than any question on the review. Great person. Take for any class you can! For those that say he has an accent, its hardly noticeable.
I dreaded the thought of having to take calculus but Dr. Han made it easy. Tests were fair and he tells you what is going to be on the quizzes. Problem sets really help your grade and he is always willing to help. Would definitely recommend him!
I had a terrible experience in dr.Hans class. I am a math major and with a 3.9 gpa but made a D in his class. I spent ALL of my time studying for his tests only to be met with unfair grading and ridiculous expectations. Please do yourself a favor and save your money, time, and sanity.
Probably the hardest class i've ever had. Moved very fast, which sacrificed clarity. Not enough time on tests. Hardest grader i've ever had, very little partial credit. Would leave many examples in class incomplete, leaving you wonder. Wouldn't be surprised if over half the class failed.
Very funny!! You'll laugh in his class. He doesn't take attendance but it is very important to attend because he tells you what kind of questions are on his tests/quizzes. Makes any kind of math simple and easy to understand.
He is very clear and tells you exactly what is going to be on the tests. He explains things multiple different ways.
Extremely nice person, always smiling and happy to be in class, but his lessons go pretty fast and his teaching style is very different from what I'm used to. He grades fairly, also. I didn't do very well in his class but it was my own fault.
HE is phenomenal!!!! He wants all his students to do well and always does what he can to help. And his exams arent hard, but they're not easy, they're juuuuuuust right, lol. He's a great professor, take him.
he is WONDERFUL! granted i'm a math major, but i would still love the class. he is very helpful and tries to make tests and quizzes, as well as homework, as painless as possible.
He was one of the best math teachers Ive had. He tells you what will be on the test and quizzes. I would reccomend taking him for any math class.
Very nice and funny. Very helpful you just have to do your work
i had him for math 160-precalc and math 161-calculus, and will be taking him again for calc2. AMAZING PROFESSOR. extremely nice, and helpful. you almost don't even need the book because he explains everything so well. all online homework which makes it even easier. there's a 2-3 question quiz or a test every tuesday, but you tells you what it is on
I had him for proofs. VERY helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend him!
I had Han for Transformational Geometry over the summer - I loved it! He is one of my favorite professors I've had at MU. The work load was heavier because it was a summer class. You need the books. You can go to him for help whenever you need it and he is always more than happy to help you - gives great explanations. Take him if you can!! :)
Dr. Han is the model professor. Extremely helpful and a very fair grader. He is often available in his office and always has time for everyone.
Dr. Han is the cutest little math professor ever. He will help you however he can until you understand the concept. He is always happy, never has a bad day and his tests aren't bad either. Graded classwork that you can work with the rest of the class on. Overall a good teacher and course!
AWFUL! i dont understand how anyone got higher than a C in this class. it was his first time teaching it (he freely admitted that) and his grading was THE WORST! i got -10 on a 16pt question for adding a single term that didnt even affect the answer! run. fast.
It was his first time teaching Calc3 so there's definitely room for improvement, but it wasn't too bad. Definitely a very hard summer course, but he tried to make it doable. The class examples were a very simple, which made the problem sets & tests somewhat difficult. But he did tell us what topics to focus on ahead of time. Basically,I'm impartial
Dr. Han is straight amazing. he is always in a great mood and so willing to help you. He puts things on D2L to prepare you for test to the best of his ability. I highly recommend him. I loved him<3
Did not miss a single class, and still got a D-.I put tons of time/effort into this class, and that might be the only reason he passed me.Be ready for a challenge if you take this his class.I feel he is very helpful. His quizzes/test are not fair given the time that you have to complete, and there is no room for error. His homework is "life-sucking."
Awesome Prof. He is always asking if things make sense and is willing to stay after hrs to talk abt problems. Makes the hw hard so that the tests r easy and he doesn't grade the whole hw - picks 5 problems and grades them. No reason people should get below a B in this class.
His tests are not too bad except the final is a MONSTER! He gives four tests, one every three weeks. Homework problems are hard for the tests are easier. He is always willing to help so take him if you can.
Took Calc 1 as a summer class and thought he was a great teacher. He organized the class extremely well. The homework would be 4 or 5 problems on a handout. There were only like 20 class periods to teach us calc 1 so there was homework due or a quiz to take every day of class, but for some reason I started liking math during this class.
Very organized and clear in lectures. Material gets pretty difficult, but if you go over the concepts learned in class, the assignments and tests are fair. The course does have a writing assignment, which was a first for me in a math course, but it does count toward the university writing required classes.
Dr. Han is my favorite professor by far. He makes class fun. Each class is very organized. Never lets you leave early, but class goes by fast. Tries to make jokes every class, to help you remember a equation or property. Fair grader. Wants all his students to succeed.
Dr Han is a really good professor. However, his final is an absolute monster. He combines 2 concepts into one. You know how to do it, but you don't know how to do it in the way he asks. His exams are tough, but he explains EXACTLY what is on it. He doesn't use the textbook and he's very organized. He is also quite the character!
GREAT TEACHER!!!! HE CARES ABOUT YOUR EDUCATION!!
Dr. Han is such a great professor! I had him my first semester at MU. He is very clear about what he expects from you. Plus, he is such a nice guy. I was really sick at the time and, he was very understanding, and continues to ask how I'm doing even though I'm not in one of his classes. His tests are hard, but he is a fair grader. He does not curve
Dr. Han is possibly the best professor I've ever had, and this is my second degree. Show interest in what he teaches, and he'll bend over backwards. I asked him to show something he glossed over because it was higher level math and not necessary, and he stayed 15 minutes to explain it. I really want to take him again for Calc 2 or 3.
Han is so funny. As in he thinks he is hilarious which makes me laugh. He puts hard topics into terms that are easy to understand. He will grade you easier if you show up and pay attention in class but is very picky with grading. I cant tell you how many times he took off because I forgot dx or absolute value. Overall is he is very helpful and cool
A little quirky but can be entertaining and basically tells you what each question will be on the tests. Go to class and you'll do fine.
He's my favorite professor so far. He's so adorable and funny. He makes concepts so clear in lecture. He will tell you exactly what will be on the tests and quizzes. Go to the lectures and take good notes and you'll do great. I wish I could take another class with him. 100% recommend him!!!
Han is the Man! Really. The way he breaks down & explains really difficult math concepts to students is just remarkable. Keys to success: WebAssign is savior - do the homework! If you can master the topics on WebAssign, then the tests are easy peasy lemon squeezy. Next, pay attention to the concepts emphasized in class. Finally, go to office hours.
He assigns homework on webassign. And expects you to know exactly how he wants his math on his exams. He will take points for anything he is able it seems. He is a great person outside of class. But his teaching methods are not productive. I've never had such bad grades in my life
Dr. Han is the man. Very helpful, very clear. He tells you exactly what you need to know moving forward so you can narrow your studies to the important topics. Would highly recommend.
Dr. Han is a great professor. He does give homework weekly but as long as you come to class and pay attention you'll do fine as he goes over examples of the problems. Same for the quizzes and tests, you know what to expect from them and with a little practice you can do great on them. Sometimes he's hard to understand but nothing too bad.
Excellent professor. High energy. Puts a great deal of thought into his tests and test prep. Prepare to work hard. He is very fair and direct. He will tell you exactly what you need to do to succeed and then you have to work hard to do it. He is hilarious and has a special talent of writing on the board while facing the class.
Great guy, but hated the class. Proofs aren't my thing and he teaches differently than I learn. Also very picky when grading. He tries though, clearly cares about his students and whether they are understanding the material.
Dr. Han is one of the best math profs I have had. He moves quickly in class, but is always willing to meet with students to help them. If you are willing to work hard and study hard, he will help you learn the material. He is a fair grader; he takes points off for every mistake, so don't make mistakes! Skipping class is one of his pet-peeves.
Dr. Han might literally be the smartest person I've ever met in my entire life. His lectures are life changing. He is a tough grader though
A few minutes late because there is never any parking? You just lost half an attendance point. Miss a few classes? Get graded more harshly. Make a minuscule mistake in notation? Lose half credit for that problem. Miss a few more classes? He will "do everything in his power to make you fail, so long as it doesn't result in a lawsuit." No exceptions
I've actually have Han for two classes now, and honestly, he is one of the best professors I've had. His class is very challenging, but you learn sooo much! It's good. I would totally take him again. (In fact I am next semester)
He is not only one of the best math professors at Millersville, but one of the best professors I've had. Prior to this semester I disliked math and was terrible at it, but through this class I have confidence in myself. Han makes it clear what is on the quizzes and tests, and if you work hard, you will get an A. Highly recommended.
I barely passed this class, but one of the few to pull my grade up in failing. Han is a great yet tough teacher, and his way of teaching is quick and you may get very lost in it (like I did.) But if you apply yourself, you may possibly save your grade. I didn't appreciate him sending the grades for exams out in emails for the overall class though.
The only thing I remembered from this course was "I will do everything in my power to fail you" if you're on the edge of passing or failing.
Dr. Han is a great professor. He knows what hes talking about and makes it easy to understand the concepts behind things. I plan to take a course with him again. Also is very funny:)
Literally failed with a 35% and retook the class with a different professor and got a B. He wont stay after class to talk to you and give no half credit or extra credit. Id rather transfer universities than take him again.
Love Dr. Han!!! He is very funny and makes 50 min fly by!! He can go a little fast at times but, he is really good at answering questions you just have to ask them. Really easy to get to office hours because he makes himself available. if you put in the work or this class you will do well.
Very accessible if you are struggling with the class. He is a very fair grader; you have to earn the grade. He makes the lectures interesting and funny. Would certainly take him again. If you are looking for an instructor that will give an easy A, you may want to look for someone else. Everything in his class is earned.
Dr. Han is literally the best math professor I ever had and this is my second bachelor's degree! Be ready to work hard and then work harder. Dr. Han is very kind and willing to help you after class. There is a lot of homework, but that is what saved my grade. I look forward to more classes with Dr. Han.
The only negative about him is that he only teaches Math. If I could take Dr. Han for every class I would!
He's great at explaining topics and making sure you truly understand what you're going over in class. He does go kind of quickly but he's always happy to help during office hours.
Dr. Han is my new favorite professor. He seriously cares about his students and just wants everyone to do well. The class and tests are a little tough, but if you pay attention and study you should be more than fine!
Professor Han was really nice. He was always ready and happy to help if needed. He gave a lot of homework but its really to make sure you understand the concepts. Calc for Management was a difficult class but Prof. Han did a great job teaching. He genuinely cares about his students.
Very nice and understanding
Dr. Han is crazy hard, but you know why? He has high standards for you as a math major (which is good)!! You may cry, but you will feel solid on higher math courses because of him. If you have a chance to take his class, DO IT!!!
Dr. Han is definitely one of the best math professors I've had! You can tell he goes over and beyond for his students and really wants them to succeed! He definitely isn't the easiest math professor out there, but that's why I like him. He challenges you to think! He is SUPER organized and grades REALLY quickly! Definitely 10/10 recommend!
Dr. Z really cares about his students and wants everyone to do well. He gives many chances and does whatever he can to help you. Office hours are helpful, and he drops lowest homework and quiz scores. Also is generous with curving.
First of all, he is not inter-active with his students and he just was not good at teaching math. When you're basically failing the class he grades even harder. He is also very nit picky. I took this class again in the summer with another professor and got an A, that was also a 4 week period. That definitely tells you something...
Dr. Han is a great professor!!! The textbook is on the syllabus, but I would say to buy it if you are a mathematics major. If you are not, then don't buy it. For getting a good grade in the class, you HAVE TO PRACTICE. College mathematics is different than high school, with studying wayyy more.
Really caring and funny Professor. Genuinely wants the best for his students and goes out of his way to help. Wish I could take him for all my math classes.
Great teacher and person. Gives the extra time to his students even through emails almost until 10 at night! Teaches very clearly and will gladly repeat and go over anything any student struggles with. Truly the definition of a mathematician
Dr. Han truly cares about his students. If you ask for help, he will do his best to help you. His quizzes and tests are easier the more you study. He has note packets, and test reviews on the topics before the test. If you study the material, you will do good. He is specific on grading for the homework, but it helps you in the end.
Dr. Han is hands down one of the best professors at Millersville. I first had him for Intro to Proofs and later had him for Geometry and Number Theory. His problem sets are similar to the notes and quizzes/tests. He also provides practice tests for review. If you want to actually learn something, seek out Dr. Han. Very understanding and helpful.
I. Love. Dr. Han. I wish he was my dad. I failed calc before, and I got almost an A with Dr. Han. The Cengage homework was every night, but it truly helped me practice enough to understand the concepts. He was so helpful on the zooms, and gave us lots of personalized help and examples.
Grading and workload was straightforward. Homework is graded for correctness, but the homework helps with the quizzes, which in turn really helps for the test. I also loved how the quizzes and tests were on Friday. You also don't need a textbook or notebook because he gives out note packets. Everything is straightforward.
Dr. Z takes countless hours out of his personal life to make sure you are excelling, receiving your grades in a timely fashion, and helping every student who sought out office hours. The lectures are straight forward, the problem sets are changed slightly to help you change your way of thinking, and prepare you for the quizzes and exams, just study
Amazing professor. If you have the option, TAKE HIM! Geometry itself is a tough subject but he made it way easier to understand. He's just an amazing math professor. Just take him.
Dr. Han's college algebra class was easy. He was always on time and ready to teach. He knows his subject very well and gives thorough explanations. All that's needed in this class for an A is to come to class, take notes, and complete the homework. He also uses past exams as review. A very organized professor.
Dr. Han is incredible. A complete 360 from Precalc. I have always struggled in Math and Dr. Han got me through. While his assignments are tough that's the nature of Calc 1. He will do everything in his power to try and get you to learn. One of very few instructors who actually "teach". Highly recommend him for anything Math related.
He teaches super well b
Despite my low grade in the class (I'm bad at math) he is an excellent teacher. Genuinely cares about his students and is upfront about what he wants out of the class. Easy to reach out of class and responds to emails super quickly which is appreciated.Uses past questions on quizzes for exams and creates study guides.
He fits to much information into a short amount of time. The tests are harder than the review tests. The only support I had from him to get a better grade was to take the test in-person instead of online like they are supposed to be. He is super heavy on cheating and will require you to have your camera an arms length away. Not helpful!
Dr. Han was such a great professor for Calc 1! He gives a homework packet every week (2-3 pages), and one 3 question quiz every Friday. There's 3 exams and one cumulative final exam. He makes sure to go over what will be on the quiz and exams the class before, so it's easy to study for them. He's readily available for any questions, and is caring!
Dr. Han was a great Calc 1 professor. I was worried about taking math, but as long as you do the work and show up to class, you'll be fine. He posts notes, videos, solutions to quizzes/HW/tests, as well as gives you test study materials. I've seen him on multiple occasions stop eating his lunch or come in on days he does not have class to help.
I LOVE THIS MAN! I'm literally crying because I saw a bad review about him. I don't have an actual class with him, so I guess I don't know fully how he is in that setting. I however DID have him for a stem camp. His one session was very enjoyable. He is so so sweet and always has a smile and offers to help. He is genuinely my favorite teacher ever.
Dr. Han is one of my favorite professors I have met so far in my academic career. He is tough but treats you as one of his own kids. Make sure to be paying full attention in his class and attend his office hours!
