Dr. Keilany is one the best teachers I've ever had period, and one of the best at UTC. He's not easy and his tests are intentionally tricky, but he's very clear and helpful and if you study you'll be fine. Is funny, intelligent, and awesome!

Prof. Keilany is the best professor at UTC. His exams aren't the easiest, but his students really learn the material in his class. He is really fun and always asks if there are any questions. He also has the best stories!

Dr. Keilany is a great professor. His tests are not easy, but he makes the ever-boring subject of economics moderately interesting. You will have to study for his tests. His final is killer, but study and do well on the other tests and you will be fine!

Very nice, but strict, doesn't allow daydreaming or talking in class. Very helpful if you ask, offers a tutor "free of charge." I think he is the department head and so he has very high expectations. Study very hard for the exams!

YOU HAVE TO STUDY PRETTY HARD FOR HIS TESTS. HE IS A GREAT TEACHER THOUGH AND WILL DO ANYTHING FOR YOU. HE WANTS PEOPLE TO MAKE GOOD GRADES.

Hes one of the best professors at UTC. But dont walk out in the middle of class cause he make fun of you. He also gives a 5 min break in the middle of class.

I took Dr. Keilany for 3 econ classes and he is THE MAN!!!! His knowledge of the subject matter is amazing. He is totally clear and straightforward. He tells you EXACTLY what will be on the test, NO SURPRISES. Just go to class and READ THE BOOK and you will do GREAT (for micro I almost never went and made an A). GREAT GUY, very funny and nice.

he is an awesome teacher. go to class and take good notes and u will do fine; he doesnt do attendance or homeowork. he offers a tutor and he will glady meet with u after class for additional help. the material is kinda tough but everything he goes over in class is whats on his exam there are no surprises. if u have to take econ take keilany!!!!!!

He was ok... I thought the class was HARD.... boring... I'm sure I would have made a better grade if I would have went to class more... I remember I studied really hard for one test and made a 64... pissed me off...

He's awesome! He is one of the smartest professors at UTC. He's very clear about what he is going to put on the tests. The class before the test he gives you a list what's going to be covered on the multiple choice. The tests are 60 pts of Multiple Choice and 40 pts essay. Write down everything you know about the essay topic or you'll bomb it.

KEILANY IS THE MAN! he's such a cool guy and he really cares about his students. Anytime you need help he's willing to do anything he can to actually make you LEARN. He's got a great sense of humors and tells some good stories. i DEFINITELY would reccomend him. if you don't take him you're seriously missing out!

Prof Keilany is very helpful. He goes out of his way to make sure u understand. The class is difficult but if u come to class & pay attention you'll get it. I went to class, studied my notes for 1-2 hrs b4 each test, only read sections in the book that he stressed & got a B. Makes it interesting enough 4 those of us who dont like ECON to pay attn

Dr. Keliany is fantastic! He will help you in any way he can and really wants you to learn and understand economics. Dr. Keilany tries to make it fun, but it is econ, so it can be challenging. He is pretty funny too, but best not to skip class.

Awesome professor. This man truly cares about the students and teaches straight out of the book. Go to class, listen, PARTICIPATE, and you will get an "A". One thing though . . . It is not good enough to "know the answer." You must understand the answer. Ask questions, ask for help, and he will be more than glad to provide.

Dr.Keilany is brilliant! He wants his class to be interested, so bring your book and pay attention. When he has an attentive class, his personality and sense of humor shine. Even if you hate economics, it's a privilege to sit under this man's teaching.

One of the best professors I have ever had. I have never seen someone go to such lengths to get the material across to his students. He explains everything multiple times and gives good reviews for the tests. Come to class and the class will be much easier. He's funny and insightful. I just wish he wouldn't yell so much... it made me uncomfortable.

Dr. Z is the #1 teacher and mentor to me. i recommend him for all ECON classes. If you need him for anything he will go out of his way for you.

He is an excellent professor. He makes the class fun and gives you a break--so that you can get coffee OR leave... you def. have to study but he helps you out a lot and goes over what will be on the test. HE MAKES THE CLASS ENTERTAINING

He is FUNNY, and realy a good guy. You should take his class if you are planning to take either ECON 101 or 102.

He's amazing! Take him for both 101 and 102. If you have problems go to his office he'll do anything he can to help you.

What is the guy in the previous post is talking about. Point by point: 1) No use of computers or e-mail. He does answer e-mails and why does everything have to be a PowerPoint to be interesting? . 2) Takes off for spelling. I have horrible handwriting and spelling and never lost a point. 3)too old. Experience is a bad thing? Did you go to class?

What is wrong with the guy who commented underneath me? lol Its obvious he doesn't pay any attention in class. I have taken professor Keilany for two semesters and I have never heard him say shut up...also the only reason he has ever walked out of class was to take a call from his sick son which is really honorable in my book!

Keilany is the best teacher at UTC. Very helpful, he gives reviews before every test and even drops your lowest test score. He will even let you take the test a different day if you have a good reason. He is very nice and funny!!

Funny teacher but grades essays hard. I personally didn't feel like I learned much in the class, but you should go to find out what's going to be on the exam and what the essay is going to be. I used the book mainly to study. If there hadn't been essays on the exams, I would have gotten A's on all the tests. I don't see what all the hype is about

The best teacher I have ever had in my life. He takes a boring subject ,and adds fun to it. He makes it humorous by making fun/picks at people in the class.He will do ANYTHING in his power to help you succeed in his course, even with studying.

Keilany is a GREAT teacher! The only grades you have for this class are 4 test grades and he drops the lowest test grade. Every test is half multiple choice and the other half is an essay question. Keilany tells you EXACTLY what the essay question will be AND the answer so there's no reason you shouldn't make a perfect score for the essay portion..

Dr. Keilany is the department head of Econ at UTC. This professor is so passionate about what he teaches. If you ever did not understand topics in class, his office was always open just to discuss class or hang out; this man loves Economics and is so rewarded when his students do well. He would always hold review sessions before tests. Must take!

I'll give a rating....24 years after I took his course. A gentleman and one of the most credible business teachers in the US. Take from Dr Z and you will be getting an Economics course that can prep you for the real world...The Best

"When your hot, your hot" and this man is definitely hot. He does not require you to go to class and all test are from the book but I would still attend. He is very helpful and practically begs students to visit him in his office for help or just to hang out. Not Easy but not hard either. If you get the opportunity. Take him.

If anyone tells you not to take him, they are in truth confused. If you have to take economics 1010 or 1020. This is your man. you WILL learn econ. period! This is of course biased but you will see my reasoning the first week of class. Trust me. He is the epitome of what it is to be a university professor. a nice person, highly respected, and HOT!!

Dr.Ziad Keilany is not at all over rated on this site. If anything this man is under rated. The sweetest soul you'll ever meet with wits and teaching skill paralleled by none. If you enjoy college the experience you'll gain from even one class of his is priceless. The positive comments on here aren't without substance else there wouldn't be so many

Give this man ANY economics textbook and just about any audience and he will teach it crystal clear just as it is in the book. Anything you can think of to make a class worth its cost, this honorable man does. He is the epitome of college professors. Read the other comments and see what I mean. Econ is not an easy class, but he makes it interesting. Attendance is not mandatory, but he'll notice if you're not there. He gives a review that tells you what will be on the tests. He is a very kind and caring man. Take him! He cares about his students.

The content of this class is hard but it's so worth it. Dr. Keilany is hilarious and makes the classes interactive and fun at the same time. He is always willing to help and there is always an open invite to his office hours. Of course, you have to study a good bit to get a good grade, but overall he's willing to help you succeed.

Wonderful professor. I had him for macro and he went above and beyond to help me. Last semester, I needed to take micro but did so with a different professor and ended up going to his office hours for help. Great man with lots of experience and good stories to keep you entertained in class. Tests are difficult but just make sure to go to him

KEILANY IS THE BEST PROFESSOR ON CAMPUS. There is not a professor on campus who I have as much trust and respect for. He's kind, compassionate, and approachable. Fight everyone to get into his class. I have him for both macro and micro economics and he made it easy. I adore him and he truly loves his job.

His only grades are test, but his test are very hard. You'll have to read the textbook in order to fully understand what is going on. He is a super sweet man, and always messing around. Attendance isn't mandatory but you should go. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS!! If he sees you're making an effort to learn he will help you out when it comes to grading.

The only grades are 3 tests. He is so so so caring. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS. You will do so much better if you show him that you are trying to learn and and are kind to him. Great professor! He LOVES to help out and make sure you get it. Just be sure to ask him right away. He dislikes finding out that you don't understand what he went over in previous classes. Attend reviews, go to his office, smile a lot, and you'll be set! He is extremely adamant that you get the book, but I got a super cheap workbook and did well!

10 out of 10 teacher. Has been teaching economics for 50+ years and know his stuff. Lectures are funny and entertaining, while still being informative. He is more than accessible and truly care about each and every one of his students. Will do whatever he needs to do to make sure that you understand the material and make a good grade.

His class is extremely difficult to be honest. However, if you regularly go to the office hours he will help you/answer your questions/break things down and recognize your efforts. He seems tough in class, but once you get to know him, he is a sweet man who deeply cares about his students.

EFFORT! A on test because this class is easy and his test are literally straight from the book. about 1/4 of my class bothered to show up on a regular basis and if you show up, attend one review session before the test (lifesaver) you will do well and learn SO much. little effort won't kill you.
