hated him
Nice guy. Very helpful if you keep up with the homework.
tests are imposible
Perfect professor!
he's a great teacher!!if u do the homework..u'll get A in class!!
He is my favorite professor. He is a very well-organized professor. His lecture and hand writing are very clear. He is very knowlrdgeable. If you are not a serious learner, do not take his class.
Very good professor, explains very clear and the exams are reasonable.
moves too fast
If you want to get an A, that's easy in his class. Just follow his order, ex: do homework, practice what he mentioned incalss, and take note. He made me had a lot of fun with math.
very clear about what he wants, be still hard. weekly quizzes.
This professor is extremely hard. However, besides the tests being impossible he is very clear in his teaching. He uses Powerpoint and answers all questions and works out any hw prob requested. Weekly quizzes are based off of hw questions. I reccomend him to take just make sure to keep up with the hw and study.
love him
He tries to be very professional with his relationships between his students and might feel a bit distant, but that does not stop him from being a great prof! His jokes are fair and fun. He always manages to keep the class alive with his contagious interest in mathematics. Engineers, be warned: he will criticize your profession! He's a purist! ;)
I thank him for teaching me how to study! Do what he says and you will be fine.
quizzes weekly. works strictly from book. is funny. answers all questions. can be rude sometimes but its just his way of working. good teacher. very professional
His is the best math prof i've ever had. teaches very clearly. dont need mathxl, just do the hm, all the quizzes are from the hw, and the tests are from the quizzes and hm. very generous with grading, once i got 5 xtra points for my test and i got an A. if u do good in ur tests he would drop one of the bad one and double the best one! should take!!
Dont bother with any other professor Dr. Boudhraa is the best at what he does. You'll not only learn math but UNDERSTAND it. On the 1st day of class he tells you, "do the homework and you'll do well in my class." JUST DO THE HW! lol its that simple. no BS
Professor Boudhraa is by far the best mathematics professor i have ever taken. His teaching methods are superb. His "ascent" (lol) is barely noticeable. Will fry you if you try to act like a smartass (that makes the class all the more enjoyable). Most likely best math professor at MC.
great teacher, easy if you follow th homework and go to class, do the hmework, you ll have none of the best grades
Perhaps I am taking the class that you dropped. I will wait until the end of the semester to make a thoughtful recommendation about this professor.
He is one of the best proffesors he explains everything clear but do homeworks! If u study hard he will notice that and he will help you. he even started a Topology research group in our class
very helpful, do the homework problems!!!!!!!and make sure to understand them, to participate during class discussions & you will be fine with the class.
the BEST math teacher your going to find! everyone else sucks. If hes teaching take his class!!! You're not going to find a better professor!! His grading is fair, homework isn't mandatory but he loves you if you do it. Test questions come from homework problems that he assigns. TAKE HIM!!!
He is SOOO nice and easy, his tests are based on the hw(so do it!, it wont take more than an hour), hw is not graded, but do it seriously. He gives 10 quizzes that total up to one test grade. 10 quizzes, 3 tests, 1 final. take him, he is just great!
Dr Boudhra is awesome.make sure you do your home work. tests and quizzes on fridays are straight out of the book.If you do your home work and ask questions from him during the class an A is guaranteed.Highly recommended.
he's a good prof. but "be careful"..
I wish I could have his brain!
Dr Boudhraa is simply the best. He knows his stuff and teaches very well. Genuinely wants to help students succeed. But if you just want an easy A and not learn anything, don't waste Dr Boudhraa's time because he could be helping someone else excel.
HE CHANGED MY LIFE!!his teaching is amazing and so is his sense of humor...kind of... Always answer ALL of my questions and help me understand how to do calculus.. this 350 wont do... but he is a REAL teacher, cares and help his students and is AMAZING, I can only hope to be able to take his class again later on in my college career. HE'S AMAZINGGG
He is excellent! Well-organized and very knowledgeable. Just do the your HW and ask questions in class.
He is the best professor I've ever had. He appreciates maturity and intelligence. His classes are a lot of fun.
Do all of the HW problems and you will find the test familiar. Tough grader, but tests are fair if you are willing to put in the time week to week.
He is fun, easy, and friendly. Also he teaches well.
He is a great professor. He always goes over any confusion and his quizzes and tests are not any different from the homework he goes over in class. Didn't even need my book. Just copied the problems he went over in class & studied them & got an A. He doesn't require u 2 do HW but He likes 4 u 2 do it
Took this class over summer and he is a wonderful teacher! He's very patient and willing to work with students as long as they put in the effort. Make sure you stay on top of your h.w. since that's where most of the test questions come from. Do your h.w, study, and you'll be fine!
Safe to say, probably the best teacher on campus. Extremely clear and helpful, with a teaching style created to teach the material effectively. I only gave a 3 for easiness because he grades perfectly fair, if you don't know it you suffer, if you do then youre fine.
Used only power points to teach. He assigns homework from the book and goes through it the following class day. Hard to fully understand the subject since the PowerPoint isn't really good compared to doing on the board. He can sometime grade harshly especially on tests. All in all, he's an okay teacher.
In the 2 calcs (2/3) I took with Boudhraa I found 1 thing above all else; he is fair. There is no extra credit (with rare exception); your grade is up to you. He will do his best to help you in getting a good grade. Tests aren't too bad either. They test you on the subject(+odd things discussed in class), not obscure algebra. A very good professor.
He is great, he really wants his students to do well so we will work with you. Do the homework, all his test problems come from the homework. He is a great professor. Take Him!
Great professor!!! Only one professor at Montgomery college who can teach math really well. Explain everything in details and makes math fun. There are three tests in his class "in summer" . All the tests were straight forward. In order to do well in the exams, do all the homework and understand each and every problem very carefully. Take him!
By far the best math teacher in Montgomery College. Teaches only the important stuff and most of the questions on the test come from the homework. He even let students ask question in class from the homework. Really, an amazing teacher.
He is phenomenal, and so kind and funny. Great teacher, make sure u have a strong algebra foundation for calculus, but he will help as much as possible. Do the exercises from the book, he will give a lot but it is only to help you. For any maths class you must do the homework to be able to fully understand. Utilize youtube etc. He's amazing.
He tries to cater to the students needs the best he can. The only thing he hates is when you talk in class and distract others. Honestly he is the best math teacher i have ever had.
He is simply the best math professor ever. He answers all questions by the students. His lectures are fun and interesting. And he doesn't give quizes
Dr. Z is a great Professor. He knows the material and is clear with his lectures. Standard homework but gives you until the end of the semester to finish it, and he drops the lowest 5 grades. 4 tests + Homework your grade. The tests are directly from the homework, and he clearly states what will be on them. He posts the lectures online as well.
He's just a great professor. I actually learned math by taking his class. There are only three tests and before each test he'll spend two class days reviewing on the problems you need help on.
Amazing professor that teaches you calculus properly. You need to do the homework assigned to do well in the class. However, he will help you, you just have to help yourself first. He is not the kind of professor to give you an A when you don't deserve one; however, if you do all the homework assigned and asking questions, you will love calculus.
He is such a nice and funny guy. He really tries to explain concepts in as many ways as possible so you can understand. He will take the extra time to make sure you understand. He is one of the best math teachers I've ever had and I'd def take him again. He was also very forgiving with my late homework
This professor is great but he would just talk about the same thing over and over again. I felt sleepy most of the time. He is good if you are slow at getting things done but for me its very borring. I like professors that get to the point, not go round and round in circles. It was an easy A but felt like I learned nothing.
I've taken him for Pre-Calc and Calc 1 and I plan to take him for Calc 2. His class isn't too difficult, if you understand the homework which is relatively easy , you'll do well on the quizzes and tests. He gives weekly quizzes (they take about 10 minutes to complete), 3 tests, and a cumulative final exam. He doesn't care about attendance.
He tries to explain the information in class in so many ways to make sure the students understand the concepts but ends up just confusing them more.
Make sure you do the homework and participate in class and passing the class will be a breeze. He is probably the best teacher at MC by far and is fair in grading.
Great Professor and explains Calc very well.
Outstanding professor. Lectures are engaging. Not a tough grader & will sometimes give full credit to a problem you messed up on as long as you show your work. Tests straight from his lectures. Follow his notes & you will be good. He will make sure you know the material; He will make math easy. I highly recommend him
I've never been so lost in my life. He drags his lectures on forever! He teaches directly from the book, the terminology he uses is extremely confusing. He spends 80% of class to review homework then barley teaches. He makes you do so much during class and then none of it is on the quizzes or tests. Overall a horrible experience with him.
He is just the best professor I have ever had altogether! Classes are long, but he makes a ton of jokes and stuff to make calculus fun! If you see him make a mistake on the board, it's funny to see his reactions. His tests are also hard, but he goes through everything you need to know for the tests. Great professor altogether if you're taking math
He was my teach for 080 ( sorry it wasn't up there ) but he is a little hard to understand but very sweet. Really cares about the student passing and learning ( i like that the most ) If you work hard he will work with you ! I would have him again
Boudhraa is amazing. You should ABSOLUTELY take him if you have the option. Math has always been my weakest subject, but he made me enjoy Calc I even though my algebra background was not particularly strong. If you work hard, he will notice and do everything he can to help you succeed. He is a very funny and very kind man. I highly recommend him.
He tries to want everyone can get a good grade, and he will drop many lowest scores even test. Quiz is on every week, but he will drop two lowest scores in the final. He is an amazing professor in my mathematics course. Easy A if you do and review everything.
He is very kind and encouraging. Kind nature is always a good thing especially for teachers who deal with many different kind of students. I would take him again if schedule meets
Prof Boudhraa is a good professor, he knows his stuff. He gives lecture outlines, quizzes almost every Friday and several easy MATLAB assignments. 280 is conceptually a bit heavy but he helps clear things out, he is available for office hours and is helpful. Online and textbook homework, exams very similar to textbook homework. 3 exams and a final.
Professor Boudhraa is a very kind professor. Although I did not get to know him very well, due to my lack of attendance, he was still very friendly to me. He always has a positive attitude towards his students and willing to help them achieve success.
ONE OF THE FEW AWESOME PROFESSORS AT MC!!!! His lectures were straight forward and easy to understand. He is one of those professors that teaches you the only things you need to know. Answers everyone's questions so don't be afraid to ask. He often stops and stares at people but you''ll get used to that. Again one of the best professors at MC.
I highly recommend prof Zineddine Boudhraa. Do the homework because that is where most of the test questions come from.
Prof. Boudhraa is the only professor with whom I've taken a math class and essentially thrown the textbook away while acing quizzes and tests. I can't think Linear Algebra can be an easy subject to teach but he does it somehow. Props to him. Absolutely, no reason not to take his class if you enroll before it fills up.
He's a little sensitive when you talk during his lecture. He teaches in a way that is much easier to understand than the textbook. Not many tests but they definitely cover everything we go over. Not a tough grader, so if you show the correct thought process and math then you'll get most of the points on the question even if you miss a few things.
I have had him for 181 and he was as amazing as he was in 181 for 182. He really ares for his students he wants each and everyone to pass. There is optional textbook homework that he assign every class. My advice for you is to do them. He pulls the test questions from the homework and the weekly quizzes. He teaches you everything you need to know.
He can be very condenscending to students so be ready for that. But the class is an easy A so I recommend him for that. Do the homework and you'll ace the test. You may not learn much but that's okay. He seems to favor certain students and can come off as arrogant. take him for the grade.
Proff. Boudhraa is a great teacher. He was 1st teacher to help me understand Algebra I couldn't grasp. Tells you day 1 he wants everyone to pas- part of passing is he expects you to be there. He finds it disrespectful if students come in late or talk during class. STUDY MathXL-should do fine. If maths your thing test out MATH 110-you'll be bored.
Great professor. Explains the material clearly. College math is inherently boring, but he is really funny and made the class entertaining. Your grade comes from the homework and tests; he does not give much extra credit, so show up to class and do the work or you won't pass.
We go through topics fast, so it's your responsibility to study study study(Take almost an hour every day you have that class). There's 4 test that's all based on the HOMEWORK. It's super important to do them! The tests and the final determines your grade. So limited opportunities to pick yourself back up if you fail one. VISIT HIS OFFICE HOURS!
He's a great teacher and gives lots of partial credit on tests. He explains things very clearly and is open to questions and will give help if you need it. He is super funny and that would make classes more interesting and fun. Test questions are very similar to homework so do HW and you will be fine. He awesome and really cares about his students!
Dr. Boudhraa was different from most professors I've taken so far. His homework and lectures are fairly easy to understand, but the tests tend to be really tricky. He doesn't give you study guides, which forces you to use the book in order to study for exams. However, taking his class is worth it, and he really teaches you how to study properly.
Dr. Boudhraa does a good job on going in detail with lectures. His exams are mixed from textbook problems and webassign homework. If you wanna do well in his class make sure you do well on his exams because that is your only grade in his class. He only grades for the correct answer so if you have good work he does not care.
Very knowledgeable about the content, however, his teaching is mostly based on slides and definitions. This professor falls when it comes to test grading, he DOES NOT give any partial credit, if you make a tiny mistake or don't use the method you learned in class he will give zero points although answer may be right.
I had Professor Boudhraa last semester as well for Calculus 1 and this semester for Calculus 2. All of the exam questions are fair and come from the homework. There are few grades outside of exams, so make sure to do your homework and study! He was intimidating initially, but is friendly if you talk to him during office hours. He teaches clearly.
Dr. Boudhrra does an excellent job explaining difficult concepts like Stokes Theorem, Greens Theorem, and Divergence Theorem. He wants you to understand the concepts. Tests are from the textbook homework and some test questions are word for word from the textbook. He wants you to pass and succeed so please take his class.
Boudhraa does a good job thoroughly covering and explaining material in lectures. He is harsh with his grading--do 90% of a problem correctly but get the wrong answer in an exam, and its a 0 for the whole thing. Do his homework problems, take notes and ask questions and you will get good grades--his exam problems are very similar to the homework.
A bit old-fashioned but lectures are clear and plenty of examples are done to help you understand the concepts. Doesn't grade the TEXTBOOK hws so that's another 5 stars right there lol
By far the best Calc teacher you'll get. There's a lot of homework regularly, but most of the exam questions are based on it. Does give extra credit. I did poorly because I slacked off. Didn't do the homework or study AT ALL. When I tried I went from a 10% on an exam to an 89%. He's really amazing
He is a nice professor, explains everything well. but we had a nightmare final. the questions on the study guide weren't even related to the final. I got a B because of that Final.
Multi is a difficult course but professor boudhraa is a great professor who cares about his students and wants them to fully grasp the concepts. There are no surprises on the exams either. Would recommend anyone take boudhraa if you not only want to pass the class but want to truly understand it as well.
Professor Boudhraa is the best math professor at Montgomery College. He explains the material thoroughly in a way that the hardest topics seem super easy. He cares about his students and likes them to understand the topics completely not just learn them to pass the course. If you can take a math course with him, definitely do it!
Math 280 (Multivariable Calculus) is a tough course, but professor Boudhraa explains the topics in a way that you find this course even easier than Calculus 1 and 2. His teaching method is the best. Your final grade is based on 3 exams + a final exam, and he also offers easy extra credits. 100% recommended!
Prof Boudhraa is really knowledgeable and knows how to teach the difficult material in way that everyone understands. His exams are pretty similar to the homework so if you just pay attention to his lectures and do the homework, you'll probably get an A.
He's a legend. An absolute godsend. He cares a lot, and he's a good man. He transformed my depressed terrible semester with everything that was going on in my life a brilliant experience in the study of math. He inspired and rekindled my passion and love of math again. Take him if you dare to live life meaningfully and full of inspiration.
He helped me knowing math isn't my strong foundation. Willing to allow me to receive additional grades and I always went after class to seek help. He is caring and when you care about making changes in your study habits he will definitely give important points on how to study. All the tests are based on what do in class and all the homework.
He is always ready to answer any question. He made me love Math after I hated it from my previous professor. I like how he divided the class so that in the first hour we go through all the homework questions to make sure we understand the old material. And then the next half he explains the new material and tries to answer questions on them.
Very nice, possibly my favourite professor. Would love to take another class with him. Only the online quizzes and tests are graded, but getting a better score on a subsequent test overwrites your previous test score. Very willing to help you understand things when asked, and replies to emails very quickly.
this professor is the GOAT!! his lectures are amazing, and he teaches really well, he really wants you to learn the material. his class is made of 4 test and 4 quizzes if you do good on the quizzes and just 3 tests than you will be set. he also overrides your grade for the last test if he sees improvement. Overall, he is the best math professor.
Just read the comments to see how good Prof Boudhraa is. Definitely take him if you can.
Amazing teaching style. No homework, but it only benefits you as the exam problems are basically the homework problems. He is very understanding, gives partial credit, and does an exceptional job teaching.
Pick him if he's teaching a class you need. It won't be an "easy" A, but as long as you do as he says, pay attention in class, and keep up with the homework, you will get a good grade. He's a very engaging teacher and understands to slow down, as well as when certain things are trivial enough to push the pace. I took 182 and 284 with him.
He explains all of his lectures well and actually wants students to ask questions. He seems to care about his students and will work with you if you need it. There isn't any graded homework but is extremely good practice since the exams and quizzes are like the homework. He is also funny and makes jokes to make the class seem light-hearted/ joyful.
Boudhraa had a very effective teaching style and made the ways of passing the class extremely clear. Do the homework (optional or not), take notes, and ask questions (he gives a whole class If everyone is struggling). He always had very open office hours and was willing to squeeze you in any time. He cares about you & your grade if you show effort.
Truly the greatest Math Professor I've ever had in my life
He uses a textbook that he made. You can have 10 extra points on each exam by making a 10 min video about a topic learned. All quizzes are just like the homework. All exams are basically like the quiz. If you do all the homework problems, the quizzes and exams are easy. Only downside is you're graded with 3 quizzes, 3 exams, and 1 final.
The only reason I took this professor was because of how many good reviews he has but he is the WORST professor I have ever had. He will publicly humiliate you in front of the class if you don't know a concept. If you ask a basic question, he'll laugh in your face. Sometimes he'll get us to learn entire concepts/chapters at home. DON'T TAKE HIM.
Great teacher, he helps you understand the material and isn't very serious about things. Does assign a decent amount of homework however it is manageable and helps with understanding the content. 3 quizzes 3 tests and 1 final made up our entire grade though.
Professor Boudhraa is very knowledgeable in his field of mathematics. He also cares a lot for his student and wants them to succeed outside of school. Although homework is not mandatory, I would advise that you do the homework as the tests are similar to the homework problems that he assigns. He also explains things in a very simple manner.
Took Calc 2 over the summer, the class was pretty accelerated. The Grade was based on 3 exams, 3 quizzes, and a final exam. His exams were fair just testing if you knew the concept and quizzes were take home. Just do the homework and you should be fine.
He is quite literally one of my best math instructors by far. It's clear he is passionate about the subject and wants everyone to succeed. I cannot believe all these years, I was one amazing instructor away from finding a passion for math. If this man is teaching a section you need or want, I implore you to take it!
Boudhraa is condescending and enjoys humiliating his students. His exams are way different from his homework assignments. He is stingy with his time outside class, makes you feel like you are wasting his precious time. Very knowledgeable in the field, even has his own textbook. Half the class dropped out by the end of semester. Do not take him!!
I just read some guy tear him apart because he didn't override and like 3 other negative reviews. All I have to say is, if you're still struggling with a teacher as great as this man, the problem is YOU. If you're willing to put in the work, you'll have nothing to complain about.
Exam reviews were just the homework problems in his own textbook but it would have been nice to get more practice problems. I struggled to absorb information during his lectures and sometimes calls you up to do problems.
He is a good proffesor and an easy grader test really similar to the homwework. if you do the homework and put a little effort thats sure you will pass and have an A all those giving bad reviews are those who were not putting in efforts. he is really a nice person always willing to helps and care about his students sucess. Great teacher
Professor Boudhraa makes this tough course manageable. The exams align well with the homework, and his clear lectures and care for student understanding make this class a great choice. Unstuckstudy was a helpful study tool alongside the textbook.
Truly an outstanding instructor by all means. His approach and teaching style is very easy to follow through with, he engages the class by asking questions and does not mind spending extra time on harder concepts. Exams are easy if you pay attention and do the optional HW, he gives extra credit for each test. A very educated and great guy overall.
Said he was going to jump out of the 4th floor window because the guy next to me used the wrong theorem. 10/10 would take again.
Humorous and funny professor that can also make the material accessible. Keeps track of every student and tries his best to include every student in class. He asks students to solve some problems in class. The exams were mostly from homework so if you do the homeworks you should be fine. Extremely down to earth.
Prof.B is genuinely the greatest math teacher I've ever had. Throughout the semester, he makes an effort to connect with all his students personally and allows them to participate. Three super easy tests that mirror the optional homework; however, the final is a bit tougher. You can get 10 points back on 2 tests. Great guy overall.
First math professor I had, and he was by far the best. He is funny and really easy to follow along to in class. All his tests are just homework questions so just do those.
my best professor at MC so far, he makes the material quite easier, and he helps students to understand better.
Goated professor
His lectures are really great. He organizes math notes the BEST out of any teacher I have ever seen. Goes over HW, questions on tests, and is really lenient on policies. Just put in your effort and you'll be good to go. Sometimes, he just smothers the class if ppl do bad on exams, but other than that, he rly wants you to do well.
Decent professor, lenient, but he can be confrontational, so do your homework, and overall he is supportive, and great at teaching.
He's awesome. That's all there is to it. Hands down the best math professor I've ever had, and incredibly dedicated to what he does. He's created his own models, book, videos and more just so he can provide them to students, so they don't have to invest in expensive textbooks. If you do the homework, then the course is honestly a breeze. 11/10.
If you attend his lectures consistently so you don't miss any announcements and put in a reasonable amount of practice for the homework, you can do well. His lectures are sometimes funny because he often goes off on tangents. He makes sure you understand his rules when it comes to grading, and those rules are very reasonable.
It's not an easy class(definitely for me), but he does everything in his power to help everyone succeed.
