VERY EASY she co-teaches with George (who is very hard), her tests are all objective, one 4 pg paper which is easy, she grades on a curve and very generously

This prof. is gorgeous. Aside from that, her class was easy. Hybrid course, work online as well. Big ROADMAP project planning one's semesters at CSULB. Lots of speakers come in to glorify their major field-mandatory days. Must show up to class b/c it's once a week only. Read the packet! Easy!

This class was awesome and actually full of stuff you'll use at some point in your life. She teaches a combo with George, who is horrible. The whole semester should have been with Engstrom, she's great! Go to class and there's some easy reading and you could definitely get an A.

Very nice and helpful. Teaches with George, who sucks. Would be nice to just get to see Engstrom all year. Very hot ****. Interested in what she teaches and what she teaches is interesting. Exams are book heavy but managable. Couple of papers... nothing too hard. I want a wife like Zoe.

This is an easy A that counts as a diversity course for ge. Make sure you do the reading and attend class she gives points for in class assignments. always done early not to much to learn. teaches well, knows what she is teaching. canceled class about 4 times for her kids. test only multiple choice. 1 easy project

I think pharell says it best "BEAUTIFUL..... she's my favorite girl". She is gorgeous and her tests are easy. What else can you ask for?

Class is pretty easy, and the test is easy if you read your packet. Teacher is very clear, but is not lenient and doesn't put up with ignorant questions if she feels like you weren't paying attention.

Taken Alot of classes with Zoe. They are all easy, very book heavy though. If you read the book you should do fine. Does some inclass activities so you should attend class, but dont have to, to pass. Any class with her should land you an A. Does not curve, at all, but grades easy.

She is the best Consumer Life Skills Proffessor yet! She's so easy and understanding. Easy A.

Dr. Engstrom is very helpful w/her material. Class is split half CAFF & half FIN. Her half was the most interesting. Uses real life examples. 1 term paper (5 pages) & 1 MT. Does not take attendance, textbook is optional, she goes over most of what you need to konw, the rest is common sense. Take her if you have to take this class, easy A

very easy class. Easy A best to take during the winter. Its only 4 classes 1hr and 1/2 each class. If you read the course packet and material only you will pass easily. Kind of stupid that its a requirement

She's a great teacher. She is young so she is really relaxed with everything. this is a great class to take and you'll defintely pass with her. attendence is not mandatory but she gives "pop assignments" that give you extra points. about 4 tests that you just need to read for. not alot of homework. TAKE THIS CLASS!

I took this class in the winter. Only met for 4 days. There were 4 assignments plus 1 exam. Very easy. No textbook for course...strictly packet you purchase at bookstore for only $9.00. She is very nice. Oh, there was a lot of information to go over on beachboard on own time..crucial for final exam.

Someone you'd want to keep as a mentor. Teaches you about different careers/fcs majors. Easy class. Do not even need textbook/notes. Just review her ppt lectures and basic info on FCS founders/pioneers. Projects/assignments are fun. You learn about yourself and your college path. Pretty interesting. MENTIONING AGAIN: REALLY EASY A!

Lovely Professor. She is so cool. The class is not hard at all. EASy A. All she does is go over powerpoints and the exams are super easy. All you have to do is read the chapters and youre good. you dont even have to go to class but you should because she is sooo nice!!!

she is a really nice teacher and very helpful. she says everything like it is. she doesn't add THAT much to her lectures/powerpoints. all her powerpoints are direct from the book, so i kind of find my time wasted in clss. but it is really easy.

So...she's pretty dope. The class covers a whole lot of topics, learned some serious stuff, things we should all know. Thus, there is a lot of info too study, and when she says you cant cram the night before, she's being serious. but, an awesome class, and Engstrom is cool. Let her know who you are too, it'll save you butt later. make it happen!

she places so much emphasis in getting the course packet even though we do not need it at all. test questions come from her PPTs.. class was useless and boring. cant believed she deduceted 5 pts off an assgnment b/c i turned it in a few minutes late. lame

If you love learning about relationships and life in general this class is for you. Prof Engstrom is super nice, super easy, and lectures about super interesting topics. 3 exams (MC), 3 papers (5-8 pgs), and one 50pt inventory (really quick and easy). EASY CLASS, attendance not mandatory but youll want to go to class.

The class is interesting learning subjects you use everyday. All the assignments are easy but her tests are very difficult. I studied like crazy and still got a D on all the tests. If you go to all the classes and do all the assignments you should manage I get at least a B.

Very helpful and clear with all the assignments. Take this class! It is really interesting and she is very understanding and reasonable with assignments. I don't understand why she has any bad ratings when her assignments are straight forward and clear. Do the work and you will get an A or B

Great class! She does give homework every week but the class was an easy A, and the professor is nice and kept my attention.

It's an 8 week class or so and it goes by fast. There were projects due back to back, but they weren't hard to handle. The packet that is "mandatory" is really not. I didn't study for the final, turned in one project late, and didn't take any notes in class and ended up with a B.

Only 6 long weeks but assignments every week so stay on top of them! Make appointments early for the major/GE check. Didn't take notes in class and skimmed through the packet before the final and got an A in the class. Easy as can be, just do your assignments on time. She's really nice and approachable, I liked her

She's really nice and knows a LOT about what is going on the the world of FCSE! There is a project due every week, but they ended up being pretty interesting. Stay on top of them because her class is only of of about 200 points. I'm glad it was only 6 weeks long because I ended up changing majors about half way through. You don't need the packet.

first time taking one of her classes, she was really nice, seemed very interested in what she was teaching, and helpful. Easy 7 week class. there are assignments every week, some of which require a little more work than others, but overall good teacher & easy class. take her!

Attendance is mandatory, because we always had assignments due at the beginning of class. Don’t be late, even by 5 minutes, or she’ll take points off the assignment. Other than that, assignments are not too hard. Just 1 exam, which can be hard. No study guide.

Prof. Engstrom provides her information in a clear, cohesive manner. Kind of a straightforward class, and even some of the information is kind of "no-duh." This, does not take away from the value of this class as I learned a TON about consumer rights. 2 papers, 3 Midterms, and a Final. Definitely would retake this professor.

She made the class really interesting and showed her interest in ALL the majors in FCS. Easy test. I took it during the Winter so it went by quick and studying on our own was mandatory. Overall easy and interesting class.

Interesting class. Forces you to organize your pathway to graduation which was very helpful. Provides a lot of resources especially if taken early. 7 week class, goes by fast. For the final, just memorize the dates and events sheet in her workbook.

This is a 7 week hybrid class and it goes by really fast! Dr. Engstrom is very engaging and she's understanding. She will answer any questions you have and she's really nice! There are homework assignments every week, but they're fairly easy. The final exam was pretty easy itself, just study her power points! You DON'T NEED the coursebook!

Good teacher. The syllabus spelled out in detail the requirements of the class and she didn't deviate. I found her to be very helpful and concerned. I get the sense that she wants the student to be successful. Highly recommend

this was half onlinehalf in class. I got full points on all 5 assignments and I didn't work too hard on any of them. You need to go to class to turn in assignments but I dont think she took roll. One final that you sould read the book for (its about 125pgs).

8 Discussion Boards, 4 HW assignments, 4 Exams.. 1 - 5 Page research paper. Finished 2 weeks early, leaving time to study for other classes. TAKE THIS CLASS ONLINE! It is Great! Prof responds quickly to emails, not much direction given for paper.

This is a six week class. Will take away points 4 incorrect formatting of papers! No study guide for the one exam. Get the COURSE READER aka textbook. For the exam is mostly the dates and peoples name in the reader. The exam is 50 questions worth 50 points. Homework is due everyweek. Does not offer extra credit which sucks. I passed the class!

Dr. Engstrom is extremely clear and her class is enjoyable. Her class was a hybrid course so it only lasted 6 weeks. Attendance didn't count but assignments have to be turned in at the beginning of each class. It's an easy A. Just ace all the assignments (she's an easy grader) and you won't even need to study for the final.

Class is challenging but the clear instruction and interesting topics kept me interested enough to keep up on the homework. Dr. Engstrom is an engaging and knowledgeable speaker, can be tough on those who don't come prepared. No extra credit so keep up with the homework. She shows no mercy.

I took her FCS299 hybrid class. Half online, half in class. Her class is pretty easy and straightforward. Just do the assignments and take her final. Passed the final without the course reader aka don't buy it. Just study off her power points. There were some info on the test that was on the course reader, but you can easily get an A without it.

This is a once a week for 6 weeks hybrid class. There's easy homework due every week at the beginning of class. Read & pay attention to BeachBoard PowerPoints, class lectures, and understand what the HW asks of you. This will all help with the final. Finals asks a lot of FCS history related material. Get the course reader to prep for final.

Took her 6 week hybrid course, 4 assignments due at the BEGINNING of class & 1 final. She makes the class enjoyable for an 8am class. As long as you complete and try your best on the assignments, you can earn the full points! The final asked for a lot of info from the course packet, its only about $10. She's so sweet, pretty and very knowledgable!

Took her CAFF321 online class. Easiest class I've ever taken. 4 easy hw assignments, 1 paper, 8 discussion boards, 4 exams. It sounds like a lot but it's not. Everything is easy and exams are open-book since it's online. All assignments are in the syllabus, so do all of them the first few weeks and you won't have to do anything the rest of class

take her, she is an easy A. You can half-ass the assignments and still get full points. The assignments are easy and can be done in like 2 hours max. you technically don't have to go to class as long as you know someone who can turn in the assignments for you, just turn it in and leave tbh

Excellent class and easy capstone. Set reminders and mark calendar for due dates/times because she is strict about submission times (understandable since the class is 100% online). Must rent/buy book unfortunately.

Took her class over the summer and I highly recommend it if you need to complete an upper division capstone. There was one 5 page research paper due a couple weeks into class and some hw/discussions so you need to stay on top of due dates but other than that, it's an easy A.

I absolutely loved taking this professor. Ive learned so much and she is on top of everything. I learned a lot from her hybrid classes. She is awesome. She is always there to help you. Very easy class.

Easy online class. Weekly discussions, homework here and there and 4 online exams, one research paper.

Easy class. You can finish everything (except exam) within a day, but submission is unlocked by specific dates. About 8 DB, 4 HW, and 4 exams.

She was such a great professor and this class was so easy. The assignments are very straightforward and honestly, I didn't put a whole lot of effort into a few of them and I still received full credit. The final was very easy and asks for information straight from the book. However, a lot of whats in the book is in her powerpoints.

One of the easier classes taken in the major if you take it with Engstrom. She offers extra credit, but you have to get the book in order to find the questions on the homework. Meets once a week and you have to show up to do the in-class assignments but they aren't hard at all. Take her if you can!

Gives homework every week but honestly the assignments are really easy. You don't have to show up to class if you have someone turn in your assignments for you, but other than that, you can learn off the PowerPoints posted on BeachBoard. Most of the stuff that's on the PowerPoint is in the book. Super easy class, especially with this professor.

Professor Engstrom was very understanding in this class. In my experience with her I had asked for her to recheck my paper since I did not do well and since I participated so much she gave me instead of an A. A great teacher and she is very funny as well. She tries to make the class interesting for everyone.

Pretty easy class. It was all online and there were 4 assignments and all were easy. Mostly about your own goals and career. There was also one exam and its the last thing you have to do and all answers were in the book. Loved the fact that I learned about myself and what I want goal wise.

Kind instructor. Always there if you need help. Manageable workload (weeklyish discussions, 4 hw's, 4 exams, research paper). She gives you more than enough time on assignments, but exams can only be completed on one day so make sure you don't forget. REALLY easy peasy class though if you keep up with due dates!! I got lazy a lot and still passed.

Since it is a 6 week only 1 unit class, attendance IS MANDATORY. Only 5 assignments overall, including the final. Super easy! The assignments are all about you and your goals. Finished with a breeze with an A. Take her, she's super nice!

Attendance is mandatory but you don't really have to pay attention. Study the slides for the exam and you'll be fine. Weekly assignments/papers which don't take too long and are super easy. Grades fairly lenient. Great professor overall!

Although this is online, Dr. Engstrom makes you feel like she's with you. She grades fastly and responds to email quickly. The syllabus is well organized and detail. The classwork/exam is spaced out evenly that you won't feel overwhelmed; though, it is a writing class: very interesting textbook and topics to write. Recommend this class for GWAR!

She takes attendance for points towards your grade and she is precise on instructions for assignments so don't forget any detail

Super Easy class, its 4 HW assignments, 4 Exams, 1 research paper, & 8 discussions. Super easy grader, I got an A on everything. paper can be done 2-3 hrs, there is a free textbook online which helps a lot for exams, just Control F for definitions for exams (super helpful) All work is spread out so you don't feel it! Easy A take her!

Took this summer class along with another summer class and it was by far the easiest class I have taken here. There is a lot of work and you have to count your words, but the grading was extremely easy. The average for every written assignment was around 90%. The quizzes were also easy which makes this a great writing intensive course to take.

I took her class in Fall 2023. It was a 6-week course. There were 4 easy and doable assignments and a final exam. There is an e-textbook where you do your final exam so it is needed. Great winter class if you need one. Great professor! I would definitely take her again!

LOVE her! she's so sweet and you can tell she cares. it's only a 6 week course so there's a new assignment every week and an exam at the end but they aren't hard at all. the textbook is on a website that you have to buy. lectures get boring at times but you can tell she wants students there. definitely recommend her!

This class was so interesting and honestly an easy A as long as you have the textbook. The class consisted of multiple quizzes, homework, and discussion posts from the textbook and one Research Paper as a midterm but all of it was very easy with the textbook. The professor answered all questions nicely and made the class interesting.

Very straight forward class. It was only an 8 week class, but each class explained things very well. Just be sure to read the assignment instructions extremely carefully, because formatting will count. Each one is different, but the assignments are very easy and you'll get full points if the format is correct. Her lectures are also good.

This class was super simple to complete your UD GE requirements. No busy work, just a few discussion posts, homework, and open note quizzes. The quizzes were straight from the textbook. Professor Engstrom is very communicative as well, and cares a lot about the well-being of her students.

Like many of the other reviews, this is a good class to get your UD D requirement done. The class is very well organized, she communicates well, and the assignments are not difficult at all. 4 HWs, 4 Quizzes, 8 Discussions, 1 Paper in the middle of the semester. Asynchronous is super helpful to be able to finish these assignments on your own time.
