unclear on expectations, reads off the slides, marking scheme makes no sense

Terrible prof. I really don't know what else to say. she just reads off the slides; the exams was unclear - class avg in the low 50's. Just a terrible class in general. Avoid, if you can

One of the worst professors I've ever had. She reads of her slides, which by the way, contains punctuation errors. Her expectations are unclear; for instance, she said that the readings were not important for the midterm, yet 50% of the test was from the reading. To sum up: AVOID HER! However, she is a nice lady.

Prend ses notes directement des sites du gouvernement et elle nous fait apprendre TOUTES les définitions par coeur... Aucune utilité et aucune profondeur dans la matière. Elle ne peut pas répondre au question des élèves.

Une des pires évaluations que j'ai eu jusqu'à présent. Elle ne demande que du parcoeur. J'ai rien appris dans sa classe et j'étais extremement déçue. Elle te donne pas de points si tu inclus de l'information apprise hors du cours. Prof extremement terrible!

If I was being polite I would say that she was a nice lady and probably meant well, but seeing as I attended absolutely every class, took notes, did every reading, studied for days before the misterms and finals and STILL received a D+, with no logical explanation or feedback as to what I did wrong, I cannot context to her "meaning well".

The worst prof ever seen inmy life, just take note from government site , no sens at all. can't answer student questions. please colleages avoid this prof, no god at all....

She comes to class with a 20 page word doc. that she reads off a screen & thats "class". This is not teaching. A lot of the exam questions were irrelevant to course material, trying to catch students on technicalities. Worst prof I've had so far. If you want to talk to her about an exam, good luck! She hides behind her TA's! Doesn't use Blackboard

Boring, does not give her notes and merely spend the course reading them. Avoid if possible.

Prof reads off her powerpoint for the whole period. Tests have very specific questions about the classes and the textbook. Do not take this class is you have difficulty remembering everything by heart. Powerpoints aren't posted online.

Brutal prof. Lectures are so dull and just reads the power points. She had an exam question to list the names of the chapters in the textbook... Doesn't post notes anywhere and the info isn't in the textbook so have to go to class. Would've dropped if I didn't have to take - worst class.

This is my first time giving a rating for a professor. This is not a joke. FEM2507A is my first uni failure and i highly recommend to avoid Coucopolous if you're trying to get good grades. This is not a joke please be aware.

She's just reading without any effort and you have to pause every second to take notes. She gives SO many lectures for the exams but she only uses one lecture. This course is really boring. The class is a 25-minutes video where Professor Coucopoulos talks non-stop and gives a lot of information. It's hard to keep up without pausing every few seconds and it's easy to get lost. She gives a lot of readings but only uses one or two in exams. She also doesn't follow the syllabus. Avoid if possible.

Zoi is kind, but her online classes are awful! 25 minutes classes instead of 3hrs - reads the whole time non-stop. Have to pause every second to take notes. Doesn't follow syllabus. Way too much lectures.

avoid this prof AT ALL COST, she puts so little effort and her class is so boring, it's 30 minutes of pure pain. I'm paying full price for someone to read slides like it's a bed time story???? I know how to read too tf.

there's no way she's not aware that there's a big problem with her way to teach. It's boring, she reads for 30 minutes without any pause, her exams are so long to do, she gives too many lectures and documentary to watch and only uses one for the exam, honestly the pain you feel during her class is not worth it, find another teacher for this class

I read the reviews and thought that it can't be that bad so i took the class. i was wrong. the reviews are way too nice for her class. i don't even know where to start but seriously don't take any class with this prof unless you want someone to read non stop for 30 minutes with the same boring tone

don't be a teacher if you're not going to act like one. i don't know if she thinks she's doing charity work but i'm not paying full tution to have someone read her powepoint and have the most boring class ever. Midterms are long to do and hard+ a group paper to do where she gave 0 explaination and final exam. by far the worst teacher ive ever had.

I am currently in this prof's class and I have no kind words. She only grades three things, two midterms (25% each with one in early February and the other in late March) and a final (50%). I am yet to receive my mark for my second midterm as of April 17 meaning that I am in exam season only knowing 25% of my overall grade. The stress is real! SOS

unaccommodating. There was a lack of drive and I felt no effort on her end. I was super excited for the content (which was good) but finding out test marks was hard, figuring out if things were submitted was impossible, I am not surprised by everyone else rating this prof low because then only good part of this class was the material

I've taken Professor Coucopoulos's CRIM 1700 class over the summer and online, and I would NOT recommend it... Although she records her lectures and gives them asynchronymoously for 25 min instead of 3h per class, it's clear she's reading a written text. Very disappointed to be paying for such a class...

Her class is wasting time. She expects you to answer 10 long questions in 90 minutes. And gave you few marks. Also, I got my previous exam marks on the final exam period. You dont even know you gonna past this course or not. I have to wait another semester just because she posted the final grade after the summer enrollment date. How ridiculous.

I WOULD RATE ZERO IF I CAN. This professor posted mark nearly the last day of the semester. I can not even select the satisfactory grade. AND YOU DONT EVEN KNOW YOUR GRADE UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE. AVOID HER.

Instead of the 6 hours of lecture we were supposed to get a week, she records 20-30 minutes of scripted Powerpoints and assigns 100 pages of readings plus documentaries to watch. Not sure why I had to pay to teach myself the class. Definitely would not recommend.

Very little course material and a LOT of assigned readings. Exams are very long and the required answers tenuous, total regurgitation of the reading material with little to no room for critical thinking. Strict grader. Very low effort class on behalf of the prof yet extensive towards students. Without a doubt the most difficult course I've taken.

She literally graded by 2 things... A midterm and a final.

I had to ask her 3 TIMES to stop using derogatory terms for a marginalized group, yet she insisted on using those terms despite admitting that she knows it's not ok. Material is harmful&stigmatizing to oppressed groups. She can't cite where her lecture material comes from & her sources are unreliable. Rude, can't teach, idk how she's not embarassed

40% midterm and 60% final how lazy boring lectures, slides only have bullet points, doesn't explain just reads and repeats herself tough grader, wants you to write exactly what she says but in your own words if your formulation is too similar that's plagiarism if it's too different you lose points bc she doesn't accept any info from outside class

Outside this class, I have a 9.8 GPA (out of 10). I studied, did all the reading (two 20-30 page articles per week), watched all the documentaries, and still almost failed the midterm. Her grading criteria is not clear— test questions ask you to “explain in detail” but don't explain what exactly they're looking for.

Worst teacher I've ever had; the grading isn't clear, and the midterm is worth 40% and the final 60%. She completely removed my interest in feminism about how difficult she grades and all the papers you have to read. It is unbearable if you can skip the class. Do it because you won't be able to do it believe in me. It isn't worth the stress.

This teacher does not care about the class or the students. Her lectures are lengthy and boring. She goes too fast, and you need to take notes. The class is graded by only a midterm worth 40% and a final worth 60%. These exams are way too long and she does not give you adequate time to answer all of the questions. Class itself is easy

She reads from her notes to give her lectures. My best piece of advice for anyone who takes courses with her is to take EVERYTHING she says in note. Her midterm and final are long answer questions and she will ask you to speak directly to very specific information she mentioned in class-- information not found on the PowerPoints. Good luck

Awful... idk what else to say. I wish I dropped this class the second I had the opportunity to. The exams are all long answer written questions, she is very picky when grading and expects a lot of detail. I took this class as I thought it would be an easy elective, but it ruined my gpa. Don't take it if you have any other options... Good luck...

She just ruined my gpa with her long exams !! And come on, only two exams ?? What kind of witchcraft is this ? At least 3, that should be the minimum. Do NOT take her. Run from her.

I'm a third-year sociology student, and I've never struggled so much with a class. She only graded us on two things - one midterm worth 40% (got C+) and the final exam worth 60% (got A). Her grading is very rigid. It's unclear what she expects from test answers. She is extremely apathetic towards students, and sometimes rude. Avoid this professor.
